1Adsorption of Cd(Ⅱ) from acidic aqueous solutions by tourmaline as a novel material显示文摘Batch experiments were conducted to investigate the behavior and mechanisms for the adsorption of Cd(Ⅱ) from aqueous solutions by tourmaline under acidic conditions. The results indicated that the adsorption of Cd(Ⅱ) significantly depend on the adsorption time, temperature, and the initial concentration of the metal ion. Furthermore, tourmaline had a very good adsorption capacity for Cd(Ⅱ) in acidic, neutral and alkaline aqueous solutions. This good adsorption capacity is attributed to the observation that tourmaline can automatically adjust the pH values of acidic (except pH 2.0 and 3.0), neutral or alkaline aqueous solutions to 6.4. Specifically, the removal capacity for Cd(Ⅱ) was higher at strongly acidic pH values (in contrast to industrial wastewater pH values) compared to that obtained for other types of adsorbents. Furthermore, the results obtained in this study showed good fits to the Langmuir and Freundlich adsorption isotherms. However, the Langmuir model fit better than the Freundlich model. The maximum uptake of Cd(Ⅱ) by tourmaline was 31.77, 33.11 and 40.16 mg/g at pH 4.0 at 15, 25 and 35°C, respectively. Therefore, tourmaline is an effective adsorbent for the removal of Cd(Ⅱ) from acidic aqueous solutions. In addition, the kinetics for the Cd(Ⅱ) adsorption by tourmaline closely followed the pseudo-second-order model. The thermodynamic parameters indicated that adsorption was feasible, spontaneous, and endothermic. Furthermore, the pH variation after adsorption, ζ-potential, metal ions desorbed and released, and FT-IR analysis indicated that the physisorption and chemisorption mechanisms of tourmaline for heavy metals. These mechanisms included water that was automatically polarized by tourmaline, the ion exchange process, and electropolar adsorption. 3Using ORYZA2000 to model cold rice yield response to climate change in the Heilongjiang province, China显示文摘Rice(Oryza sativa L.) is one of the most important staple crops in China. Increasing atmospheric greenhouse gas concentrations and associated climate change may greatly affect rice production. We assessed the potential impacts of climate change on cold rice production in the Heilongjiang province, one of China's most important rice production regions. Data for a baseline period(1961–1990) and the period 2010–2050 in A2 and B2 scenarios were used as input to drive the rice model ORYZA2000 with and without accounting for the effects of increasing atmospheric CO2 concentration. The results indicate that mean,maximum, and minimum temperature during the rice growing season, in the future period considered, would increase by 1.8 °C under the A2 scenario and by 2.2 °C under the B2 scenario compared with those in the baseline. The rate of change in average maximum and minimum temperatures would increase by 0.6 °C per 10-year period under the A2 scenario and by 0.4 °C per 10-year period under the B2 scenario. Precipitation would increase slightly in the rice growing season over the next 40 years. The rice growing season would be shortened and the yield would increase in most areas in the Heilongjiang province. Without accounting for CO2 effect, the rice growing season in the period 2010–2050 would be shortened by 4.7 and 5.8 days,and rice yields would increase by 11.9% and 7.9%, under the A2 and B2 scenarios, respectively.Areas with simulated rice yield increases greater than 30.0% were in the Xiaoxing'an Mountain region. The simulation indicated a decrease in yield of less than 15% in the southwestern Songnen Plain. The rate of change in simulated rice yield was 5.0% and 2.5% per 10 years under the A2 and B2 scenarios, respectively. When CO2 effect was accounted for, rice yield increased by 44.5% and 31.3% under the A2 and B2 scenarios, respectively. The areas of increasing yield were sharply expanded. The area of decreasing yield in the western region of Songnen Plains disappeared when increasing CO2 concentration was considered. The stability of rice yield would increase from 2010 to 2050. 4A MITE insertion into the 3′-UTR regulates the transcription of TaHSP16.9 in common wheat显示文摘Miniature inverted-repeat transposable elements(MITEs) are a type of DNA transposon frequently inserted into promoters, untranslated regions(UTR), introns, or coding sequences of genes. We found a 276-bp tourist-like MITE insertion in the 3′-UTR of a 16.9 k Da small heat shock protein gene(TaH SP16.9-3A) on chromosome 3A of common wheat. Haplotype analysis revealed two haplotypes, s HSP-W(wild type without MITE insertion) and s HSP-M(mutant with MITE insertion), present in wheat germplasm. Both semiquantitative PCR and quantitative real-time PCR analyses showed increased transcription levels of TaH SP16.9-3A in s HSP-M compared with those of s HSP-W after heat treatment at 42 °C. 5Randomized,multicenter,open-label trial of autologous cytokine-induced killer cell immunotherapy plus chemotherapy for squamous non-small-cell lung cancer:NCT01631357显示文摘Dear Editor,Cytokine-induced killer(CIK)cells have been recognized as a new type of anti-tumor effector cells.CIK cells are a mixture of T lymphocytes.Among them,CD3+/CD56+T cells,which are rare in uncultured peripheral blood,are the main effector cells.CIK cells can proliferate rapidly in vitro,with stronger antitumor activity,broader target tumor spectrum,and lower adverse effect than other reported antitumor effector cells.1 Their ease of production in vitro and antitumor potential have made them suitable candidates for cell therapy regimens in solid and hematopoietic tumor treatments.1,2 Our previous retrospective study showed that the median progression-free survival(PFS)and overall survival(OS)in untreated,advanced non-small-cell lung cancer(NSCLC)patients who received CIK cell immunotherapy plus chemotherapy(13 and 24 months,respectively)were significantly longer than in those who received chemotherapy alone(6 and 10 months,respectively).2 But so far,there is no prospective,multicenter clinical study in lung cancer.Based on our previous study,we designed this randomized,multicenter,open-label trial to further evaluate the clinical efficacy of CIK cell immunotherapy plus chemotherapy in patients with advanced squamous NSCLC(ClinicalTrials.gov number,NCT01631357).Liang Liu Quanli Gao Jingting Jiang Junping Zhang Xin Song Jiuwei Cui Yunbin Ye Zhiyu Wang Xinwei Zhang Xiubao Ren 2020Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2020,5,1:2
6Changes in Chilled Chicken Quality and Correlation Analysis during Different Shelf Life显示文摘[Objective] The paper was to study the change rule and correlation analysis of quality indexes of chilled chicken within 7 d shelf life.[Method] Six pieces of fresh breast muscle were packaged in polyethylene(PE) food storage bags,labeled,and refrigerated at 4 ℃.The p H,water loss rate,tenderness,color value and inosinic acid content of chicken were measured at different time points of preservation(cold storage for 0,1,2,3,6,7 d).[Result] With the prolongation of shelf life,the p H of chilled chicken first increased then tended to be stable;the water loss rate first increased then stabilized;the shear force first decreased then increased.There was little difference in brightness value(L*) of chilled chicken dur-ing different shelf life(P>0.05).The red degree value(a*) decreased with the prolongation of shelf life;the yellow degree value(b*) increased with the extension of shelf life.The inosinic acid content decreased with the prolongation of shelf life.The p H of chilled chicken in different shelf life had significant positive correlation with water loss rate(P<0.05) and extremely significant negative correlation with shear force(P<0.01).[Conclusion]The shelf life of 7 d has impact on meat color and inosinic acid of chilled chicken.Cold fresh preservation of chilled chicken should be less than 6 d;p H has certain correlation with water loss rate and shear force.Ju Xiaojun Tu Yunjie Zou Jianmin Zhang Ming Ji Gaige Shan Yanju Liu Yifan Shu Jingting 2018Animal Husbandry and Feed Science2018,10,2:2

14Memory-boosting RNN with dynamic graph for event-based action recognition显示文摘Existing action recognition methods based on event cameras have not fully exploited the advantages of event cameras,such as compressing event streams into frames for subsequent calculation,which greatly sacrifices the time information of event streams.Meanwhile,the conventional PointCloud-based methods suffer from large computational complexity while processing event data,which make it difficult to handle long-term actions.To tackle the above problems,we propose a dynamic graph memory-boosting recurrent neural network(DG-MBRNN).The proposed DG-MBRNN splits the event stream into sequential graph data for preserving structural information,then uses the recurrent neural network(RNN)with boosting spatiotemporal memory to handle long-term sequences of actions.In addition,the proposed method introduces a dynamic reorganization mechanism for the graph based on the distances of features,which can effectively increase the ability to extract local features.In order to cope with the situation that the existing datasets have too simple actions and too limited categories,we propose a new event-based dataset containing 36 complex actions.This dataset will greatly promote the development of event-based action recognition research.Experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed method in completing the event-based action recognition task.CHEN Guanzhou LIU Sheng XU Jingting 2023Optoelectronics Letters2023,19,10:0
15Self-shrinking supramolecular nanoparticles syndicate energy suppression and NIR-II mild photothermal amplification of mitochondrial oxidative stress for breast cancer therapy显示文摘Photothermal therapy(PTT)may lead to healthy tissue damage,tumor metastasis,and recurrence,which makes mild photothermal therapy(mild PTT)stand out.However,overcoming heat resistance,insufficient therapeutic effect,and poor photothermal conversion efficiency has become new challenge.Herein,we report a dynamic supramolecular nanocarrier formed from amide-sericin and aldehyde-polyhydroxy glucan(denoted as SDA),the loose cavity of which can be filled by using the pharmaceutical combination of lonidamine(LND)and NIR-II photothermal agent of IR-1061,producing SDLI with a tighter inner hole,smaller and uniform particle size and excellent stability due to multiple pulling forces.Moreover,the intricate internal network structure prevents the hydrophobic IR-1061 from forming aggregates in the small cavity,and the photothermal conversion efficiency(PCE)can reach 48.9%.At the acidic tumor microenvironment of pH 6.5,the controlled release of LND can solve the problem of heat resistance of NIR-II mild PTT and significantly improve the therapeutic effect of NIR-II mild PTT.Meanwhile,SDLI also shows a reasonable tumor inhibition rate,so the synergistic strategy of inhibiting tumor energy metabolism and NIR-II mild PTT to magnify mitochondrial oxidative stress,continuous cell stress state-induced immunogenic cell death to promote the induction of tumor apoptosis is proposed to achieve more effective cancer treatment.Hongmei Liu Jiming Xu Mengjie Ye Hengbo Zhang Linlin Han Jingting Wang Peng Xue Yuejun Kang Zhigang Xu 2024Nano Research2024,17,5:0
16Bifurcated convolutional network for specular highlight removal显示文摘Specular highlight usually causes serious information degradation,which leads to the failure of many computer vision algorithms.We have proposed a novel bifurcated convolution neural network to tackle the problem of high reflectivity image information degradation.A two-stage process is proposed for the extraction and elimination of the specular highlight features,with the procedure starting at a coarse level and progressing towards a finer level,to ensure the generated diffuse images are less affected by visual artifacts and information distortions.A bifurcated feature selection module is designed to remove the specular highlight features,thereby enhancing the detection capability of the network.The experiments on two types of challenging datasets demonstrate that our method outperforms state-of-the-art approaches for specular highlight detection and removal.The effectiveness of the proposed bifurcated feature selection module and the overall network is also verified.XU Jingting LIU Sheng CHEN Guanzhou LIU Qianxi 2023Optoelectronics Letters2023,19,12:0
17Different metabolomic responses of grass carp(Ctenopharyngodon idellus)to dietary tannin and rapeseed meal显示文摘In order to study the metabolomic responses of rapeseed meal on grass carp and the role that tannin plays in those responses,grass carp were fed four diets for an eight week trial.Two were practical diets:FM diet contained 10%fishmeal without rapeseed meal,RM diet contained 50%rapeseed meal without fishmeal;the other two were semi-purified diets without(T0)or with 1.25%(T1)of supplemental hydrolysable tannin.The tannin content in the RM diet was close to that of T1.The rate of weight gain for RM was significantly lower than FM,while the feed conversion ratio in the T1 was significantly higher than T0.The muscle lipid and protein content was significantly lower and glycogen higher in the RM and T1 compared to the other treatments.The percent of muscle-saturated fatty acid(SFA)in the RM and T1 groups was significantly lower than FM and T0 groups,respectively,while the mono-unsaturated fatty acid(MUFA)in the RM group was significantly higher than FM.The hepatic activities of alanine aminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase were lower and the hepatic glycogen and malonaldehyde were higher in the T1 and RM than the other treatments.The total serum protein,globulin,and triglycerides were significantly higher in T1 and RM;the alanine aminotransferase in the T1 was significantly higher than T0;and the aspartate aminotransferase in the RM and T0 groups were significantly higher than the other treatments.In a metabolomic assay,29 differential metabolites were identified between T0 and T1,23 metabolites were downregulated,and 6 metabolites were upregulated in T1 compared to T0.Ninety-two differential metabolites were identified between FM and RM,31 metabolites were downregulated,and 61 metabolites were upregulated in RM compared to FM.These indicated that lipid utilization and carbohydrate metabolism might be improved,while the protein metabolism was suppressed by rapeseed meal.The abnormal protein and lipid metabolism may be partly caused by tannin in the rapeseed meal,as the tannin contained within the rapeseed meal seemed to bring different effects that the tannin additive.Jingting Yao Ning Liu Ningyu Li Xiang Li Xueming Hua 2022Aquaculture and Fisheries2022,7,1:0
18Integrated sensor based on acoustics-electricity-mechanics coupling effect for wireless passive gas detection显示文摘Integrated sensor combines multiple sensor functions into a single unit,which has the advantages of miniaturization and better application potential.However,limited by the sensing platforms of the sensor and the selectivity of the sensitive film,there are still challenges to realize multi-component gas detection in one unit.Herein,a principle integration method is proposed to achieve the multi-component gas detection based on the acoustics-electricity-mechanics coupling effect.The electrical and mechanical properties of the Bi_(2)S_(3)nanobelts materials in different atmospheres indicate the possibility of realizing the principle integration.At the same time,the surface acoustic wave(SAW)sensor as a multivariable physical transducer can sense both electrical and mechanical properties.Upon exposure to 10 ppm NO_(2),NH_(3),and their mixtures,the integrated SAW gas sensor shows a 4.5 kHz positive frequency shift(acoustoelectric effect),an 11 kHz negative frequency shift(mechanics effects),and a reduced 4 kHz negative frequency shift(acoustics-electricity-mechanics coupling effect),respectively.Moreover,we realize wireless passive detection of NO_(2)and NH_(3)based on the SAW sensor.Our work provides valuable insights that can serve as a guide to the design and fabrication of single sensors offering multi-component gas detection via different gas sensing mechanisms.Licheng Zhou Bohui Zhai Zhixiang Hu Mingqi Zhang Long Li Xiangxin Wang Guangzu Zhang Jingting Luo Honglang Li Bingbing Chen Shenglin Jiang Hua-Yao Li Huan Liu 2023Nano Research2023,16,2:0
19Salt stress induced apoptotic-like changes in Thellungiella halophila显示文摘With a view of studying programmed cell death (PCD) in a halophytic plant at the molecular level, we report here that apop-totic-like changes are induced by NaCl stress in Thellungiella halophila. The dose of 300 mM NaCl induced some apoptotic-like features in Thellungiella halophila cells, including the retraction of the plasma membrane from the cell wall, nuclear condensation, DNA laddering and the release of cytochrome c accompanying the increase of caspase 3-like protease activity. This process re-sulted in ultrastructural changes of mitochondria and Golgi bodies, and the appearance of autophagic vacuoles. This suggests that T. halophila suspension cell culture is an ideal system for studying severe salt stress-induced plant PCD.
