1AN ANALYTICAL SOLUTION TO LONGITUDINAL VIBRATION OF A PILE OF ARBITRARY SEGMENTS WITH VARIABLE MODULUS显示文摘The vibration problem of a pile of arbitrary segments with variable modulus under exciting force is established, in which the influence of the soil under pile toe and the surroundings is taken into account. With Laplace transforms, the transmit functions for velocity and displacement of pile are derived. Furthermore, in terms of the convolution theorem and inversed Laplace transform, an analytical solution for the time domain response of a pile subjected to a semi-sine impulse is developed,which is the theoretical basis of the sonic method in pile integrity testing. Based on the solution, the vibration properties of pile with sharp or continuous modulus are studied. The validity of this approach is verified through fidd dynamic tests on some engineering piles. 2Application study on the first cable-stayed bridge with CFRP cables in China显示文摘In order to push forward the development of CFRP cable-stayed bridge and accumulate experiences, the study on the application of the first cable-stayed bridge with CFRP cables in China was carried out. The design essentials of main components of the bridge were introduced and its integral performances, including static properties, dynamic properties and seismic response were analyzed using finite element method. A new bond-type anchorage was developed and the processes of fabricating and installing CFRP cables were elaborated. Based on the results of construction simulation, a tension scheme for bridge was propound. During constructing, the stresses and displacement of girder and pylon, as well as the forces and stresses of cables, were tested. The results indicate that all sections of the bridge could meet the requirements of the ultimate bearing capacity and normal service; the performance of the anchorage is good and the stresses in each cable system are similar; the tested values accord well with the calculated values. Further, creep deformation of the resin in anchorages under service load is not obvious. 3Kinetic calculations for the thermal decomposition of calcium propionate under non-isothermal conditions显示文摘Calcium propionate (CP) is shown to be useful for simultaneous SO2/NO reduction in coal-fired power plants and its thermal decomposition characteristics are measured by thermogravimetric analysis in a feasibility study into more complete reduction of these hazardous gases. Calcium carbonate (CC), which has been used primarily for in-furnace desulfuration, was used for comparison. The thermal decomposition of this organic calcium-based sorbent began at low temperature, i.e. the carboxylic radical was evaporated from 565 K to 759 K for CP and the corresponding mass loss percentage was 47.79%. The residual was subsequently decomposed to release carbon dioxide between 843 K and 1012 K. The latter phase of the process occurred more readily than with CC because of the loose structure of CP resulting from evaporation of the carboxylic radical in the low temperature zone, which could be seen directly by scanning electron microscope. The maximum mass loss rates of this phase occurred at temperatures of 972 K and 1012 K for CP and CC, respectively. The Ozawa-Flynn-Wall method was used to calculate the activation energy during the thermal decomposition process at heating rates of 5, 7.5, 10 and 15 K/min. The result further confirmed the multistage characteristic of CP thermal decomposition, which could be seen in differential thermogravimetry curves. 4Geochemical characteristics of Carboniferous volcanic rocks from the Wulungu-Luliang area, Junggar basin: constraints on magma source and tectonic setting显示文摘The Carboniferous volcanic rocks in the Wulungu-Luliang area are mainly andesites of medium- to high-K calc-alkalic series. Volcanic rock samples have relatively high alkali(Na2O + K2 O = 4.7 % to 6.8 %) and low Ti O2contents(0.7 % to 0.9 %), relatively high Mg O(2.5 % to 3.4 %) and Mg#(49.9 % to 67.1 %), high rare earth element(REE) contents, and relatively high K2 O contents(1.7 % to 3.1 %). Chondrite-normalized REE patterns show light REE enrichment((La/Yb)N= 4.15 to 5.19)with weak Eu anomalies(d Eu = 0.75 to 0.92). These samples are enriched in large-ion lithophile elements but relatively depleted in high field strength elements. The trace elements and REE patterns are similar to those of Setouchi and central Ryukyu high-Mg andesites, indicating a highMg andesite source. Relatively high Y contents(16.7 to24.4 ppm), and relatively low Sr/Y ratios(17.2 to 38.8) and Ti O2contents(0.7 % to 0.9 %) exclude the possibility of slab melting. Low Sr/Nd(16.6 to 42.8), Ba/Th(66.4 to266.8), and U/Th(0.2 to 0.3) indicate that the influence of slab-derived fluids is low. The ratios of Ce/Th(4.9–7.3), Ce/Pb(1.8–4.2), Ba/Rb(7.99–22.03), Ba/Th(66.4–266.8), and La/Sm(3.6–4.3) are similar to ratios found in subducting sediment melts. Relatively high ratios of K/Nb(1357–3258),Th/La(0.28–0.42), Zr/Nb(8.8–27.1), and especially Th/Nb(0.48–1.25) suggest that the magma was assimilated and contaminated by upper continental crust. These characteristics, along with the ratios of La/Yb, Sc/Ni, Th/Yb, Ta/Yb,Ce/P2O5, and Zr/Ti O2, demonstrate that the earlier Carboniferous volcanic rocks in the Wulungu-Luliang area were generated in a continental island-arc setting.Wei Liu Kuihua Zhang Guanlong Zhang Peiming Zhou Qizhi Wang 2015Chinese Journal Of Geochemistry2015,34,4:2

17Carboniferous–Permian marine transgressions in the Jiyang Depression显示文摘In recent years,great attention has been paid to oil and gas exploration in the Carboniferous–Permian strata of the Bohaiwan basin,especially the Carboniferous–Permian marine transgression,using data from drilling,outcrops and carbonate acid-insoluble residue experiments together with the tectonic evolutionary history of the peripheral orogenic zones of the North China plate and the Tan-Lu fault zones.The study concludes that marine transgressions took place on six occasions during Carboniferous–Permian time in the Jiyang Depression.The marine transgressions were concentrated in the Late Carboniferous:two marine transgressions occurred in the early Late Carboniferous,and the scale of the first was smaller and the time was shorter than those of the second.The other four marine transgressions happened in the late Late Carboniferous,the first and the fourth of which were larger in scale and longer in time than the second and the third.The seawater came from the Jiaobei area,the eastward part of the Qinling–Dabie residual sea basin,and invaded progressively as a planar flow from south to north and from east to west.These findings have great significance for thorough analysis of the sedimentary characteristics and evolution of the Carboniferous–Permian strata in the Jiyang Depression.Zhang Kuihua Chen Shiyue Zhang Guanlong 2014International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2014,24,1:1
