1Characteristics of the crustal structure and hypocentral tectonics in the epicentral area of Nan'ao earthquake (M7.5), the northeastern South China Sea显示文摘1918 Nan’ao earthquake (M7.5) occurred in the northeast coastal areas of Guangdong Province. With the seismogeological survey of the epicentral area and history materials analyses, the earthquake epicenter was estimated to locate in the intersection part of the Binhai fault zone (Littoral) and Huanggangshui fault, which strikes NEE and NW, respectively. The activities of the NEE-striking thrust fault and NW-striking extensional fault that were attributed to 1918 Nan’ao earthquake occurred in the Dongshan Island of the epicentral area; they reflected the focal stress field with compression in NW-SE direction and extension in NE-SW direction. The isoseismal contour of seismic intensity X shows a shape of ‘X’ composed of two mutually overlapping ellipses with two axes striking NEE and NW, respectively, and such shape implies that the occurrence of this earthquake is controlled by a pair of conjugate seismotectonic faults constituted by the NEE-striking Binhai fault zone and the NW-striking Huanggangshui fault. The Binhai fault zone is a dominant seismogenic structure, and the NW-striking Huanggangshui fault is the subdominant one. The onshoreoffshore deep seismic profile that crossed the epicentral area and was perpendicular to the strike of the Binhai fault zone was obtained. According to the analyses of the seismic data, the Binhai fault zone is defined as a low velocity zone with SE dip-slip in thecrustal structure section. The Binhai fault zone is a boundary fault between the South China subplate and South China Sea subplate. The crust structure on the northwest side of Binhai fault zone is a normal continental crust with a thickness of 30 km, and the one on the southeast side of the fault zone is a thinning continental crust with a thickness of 25―28 km. The Binhai fault zone is an important seismogenic fault and also is an earthquake-controlling fault. 2Effect of preparation method on physicochemical properties and catalytic performances of LaCoO3 perovskite for CO oxidation显示文摘Perovskite oxides LaCoO3 prepared by templating,co-precipitation and sol-gel method with different complexants were systematically characterized and its catalytic performances for CO oxidation were investigated.The samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction,thermogravimetry analysis and differential scanning calorimetry,N2 physisorption,transmission electron microscopy,temperature program reduction of hydrogen,temperature program desorption of oxygen and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy measurement,results of which show that the properties of LaCoO3,such as surface morphology,surface area,surface compositions,redox capability,oxygen vacancy,as well as the calcination temperature and formation mechanism,depend intimately on the preparation method.Catalytic tests indicate that the sample prepared by carbon templating method shows the best activity for CO oxidation,with full CO conversion obtained at 135℃.In particular,the catalyst can be activated and significant increase of activity can be obtained with the increase of reaction time.The cyclic and longterm stability of catalysts were discussed and compared.Shan Wang Xuelian Xu Junjiang Zhu Duihai Tang Zhen Zhao 2019Journal of Rare Earths2019,37,9:10
3Meso-Cenozoic Evolution of Earth Surface System under the East Asian Tectonic Superconvergence显示文摘The East Asian geological setting has a long duration related to the superconvergence of the Paleo-Asian, Tethyan and Paleo-Pacific tectonic domains. The Triassic Indosinian Movement contributed to an unified passive continental margin in East Asia. The later ophiolites and I-type granites associated with subduction of the Paleo-Pacific Plate in the Late Triassic, suggest a transition from passive to active continental margins. With the presence of the ongoing westward migration of the Paleo-Pacific Subduction Zone, the sinistral transpressional stress field could play an important role in the intraplate deformation in East Asia during the Late Triassic to Middle Jurassic, being characterized by the transition from the E-W-trending structural system controlled by the Tethys and Paleo-Asian oceans to the NE-trending structural system caused by the Paleo-Pacific Ocean subduction. The continuously westward migration of the subduction zones resulted in the transpressional stress field in East Asia marked by the emergence of the Eastern North China Plateau and the formation of the Andean-type active continental margin from late Late Jurassic to Early Cretaceous(160-135 Ma), accompanied by the development of a small amount of adakites. In the Late Cretaceous(135-90 Ma), due to the eastward retreat of the Paleo-Pacific Subduction Zone, the regional stress field was replaced from sinistral transpression to transtension. Since a large amount of late-stage adakites and metamorphic core complexes developed, the Andean-type active continental margin was destroyed and the Eastern North China Plateau started to collapse. In the Late Cretaceous, the extension in East Asia gradually decreased the eastward retreat of the Paleo-Pacific subduction zones. Futhermore, a significant topographic inversion had taken place during the Cenozoic that resulted from a rapid uplift of the Tibet Plateau resulting from the India-Eurasian collision and the formation of the Bohai Bay Basin and other basins in the East Asian continental margin. The inversion caused a remarkable eastward migration of deformation, basin formation and magmatism. Meanwhile, the basins that mainly developed in the Paleogene resulted in a three-step topography which typically appears to drop eastward in altitude. In the Neogene, the basins underwent a rapid subsidence in some depressions after basin-controlled faulting, as well as the intracontinental extensional events in East Asia, and are likely to be a contribution to the uplift of the Tibetan Plateau.DMITRIENKO Liudmila V. 4Testing and evaluation for fatigue crack propagation of Ti-6Al-4V/ELI and 7050-T7452 alloys at high temperatures显示文摘This paper seeks to evaluate crack propagation properties and residual lives of metallic alloys subjected to fatigue loading at room and high temperatures. Fatigue crack growth tests were performed on Ti-6Al-4V/ELI and 7050-T7452 subjected to constant-amplitude and actual randomspectra loading at room temperature of about 25 ℃ and at high temperatures of 250 ℃ and 150 ℃ to determine their crack growth properties and residual lives. The damage mode and mechanisms at high temperature were compared with those at room temperature on the basis of the results of fractographic analysis. 14EARTHQUAKE FOCAL MECHANISM AND ITS TECTONIC SIGNIFICANCE ALONG THE TWO SIDES OF THE RED RIVER FAULT ZONE显示文摘The Red River Fault Zone is a gigantic slide-slip fault zone extending up to 1000km from Tibet to SouthChina Sea. It has been divided into the north, central and south segments according to the difference of thegeometry, kinetics, and seismicity on the land, but according to the contacted relationship between the old pre-Cenozoic block in Indochina Peninsula and the South China block, the Red River Fault Zone was divided into two parts extending from land to ocean, the north and south segments. Since the Tertiary, the Red River Fault Zone suffered first the sinistral movement and then the dextral movement. The activities of the north and the south segments were different. Based on the analysis of earthquakes and focal mechanism solutions,earthquakes with the focus depths of 0-33km are distributed over the whole region and more deep earthquakes are distributed on the northeastern sides of the Red River fault. Types of faulting activities are the thrust in the northwest, the normal in the north and the strike-slip in the south, with the odd type, viz. the transition type, in the other region. 16Carbon coated LaFe_(0.92)Pd_(0.08)O_(3) composites for catalytic transfer hydrogenation:Balance in the ability of substrates adsorption and conversion显示文摘Catalytic transfer hydrogenation(CTH)is a green and efficient pathway for selective hydrogenation of unsaturated aldehydes and ketones.However,managing the abilities of solid catalysts to adsorb substrates and to convert them into desired products is a challenging task.Herein,we report the synthesis of carbon coated LaFe_(0.92)Pd_(0.08)O_(3) composites(LFPO-8@C)for CTH of benzaldehyde(BzH)into benzyl alcohol(BzOH),using isopropanol(IPA)as hydrogen source.The coating with carbon improves the ability to adsorb/transfer reactants from solution to active sites,and the doping of Pd2+at Fe3+site strengthens the ability of LaFeO_(3) to convert BzH into BzOH.A balanced point between them(i.e.,abilities to adsorb BzH and to convert BzH into BzOH)is obtained at LFPO-8@C,which exhibits a BzOH formation rate of 3.88 mmol·gcat^(-1)·h^(-1) at 180℃ for 3 h,which is 1.50 and 2.72 times faster than those of LFPO-8 and LaFeO_(3)@C.A reaction mechanism is proposed,in which the acidic sites(e.g.,Fe^(4+),oxygen vacancy)are used for the activation of C=O bond of BzH and O-H bond of IPA,and the basic sites(e.g.,lattice oxygen)for the activation ofα-H(O-H)bond of IPA.Bowen Wang Nan Zhang Ping Xiao Jian Zhang Sónia A.C.Carabineiro Junjiang Zhu 2024Nano Research2024,17,5:0
17Low-temperature epitaxy of transferable high-quality Pd(111)films on hybrid graphene/Cu(111)substrate显示文摘The continuous pursuit of miniaturization in the electronics and optoelectronics industry demands all device components with smaller size and higher performance,in which thin metal film is one heart material as conductive electrodes.However,conventional metal filmns are typically polycrystalline with random domain orientations and various grain boundaries,which greatly degrade their mechanical,thermal and electrical properties.Hence,it is highly demanded to produce single-crystal metal films with epitaxy in an appealing route.Traditional epitaxy on non-metal single-crystal substrates has difficulty in exfoliating away due to the formation of chemical bonds.Newly developed epitaxy on single-crystal graphene enables the easy exfoliation of epilayers but the annealing temperature must be high(typical 500-1,000℃ and out of the tolerant range of integrated circuit technology)due to the relative weak intertacial interactions.Here we demonstrate the facile production of 6-inch transferable high-quality Pd(111)filims on single-crystal hybrid graphene/Cu(111)substrate with CMOS-compatible annealing temperature of 150℃ only.The interfacial interaction between Pd and hybrid graphene/Cu(111)substrate is strong enough to enable the low-temperature epitaxy of Pd(111)films and weak enough to facilitate the easy film release from substrate.The obtained Pd(111)films possess superior properties to polyrystalline ones with-0.25 eV higher work function and almost half sheet resistance.This technique is proved to be applicable to other metals,such as Au and Ag.As the single-crystal graphene/Cu(111)substrates are obtained from industrial Cu foils and accessible in meter scale,our work will promote the massive applications of large-area high-quality metal fims in the development of next-generation electronic and optoelectronic devices.Zhihong Zhang Xiaozhi Xu Ruixi Qiao Junjiang Liu Yuxia Feng Zhibin Zhang Peizhao Song Muhong Wu Lan Zhu Xuelin Yang Peng Gao Lei Liu Jie Xiong Enge Wang Kaihui Liu 2019Nano Research2019,12,11:0
18Photocatalytic degradation of sulfadiazine in suspensions of TiO_(2)nanosheets with exposed(001)facets显示文摘Antibiotics such as sulfonamides are widely used in agriculture as growth promoters and medicine in treatment of infectious diseases.However,the release of these antibiotics has caused serious environmental problems.In this paper,photocatalytic oxidation technology was used to degrade sulfadiazine(SDZ),one of the typical sulfonamides antibiotics,in UV illuminated TiO_(2)suspensions.It was found that TiO_(2)nanosheets(TiO_(2)-NSs)with exposed(001)facets exhibit much higher photoreactivity towards SDZ degradation compared to TiO_(2)nanoparticles(TiO_(2)-NPs)with a rate constant increases from0.017 min^(-1)to 0.035 min^(-1),improving by a factor of 2.1.Under the attacking of reactive oxygen species(ROSs)such as superoxide radicals(*O_(2)^(-))and hydroxyl radicals(*OH),SDZ was steady degraded on the surface of TiO_(2)-NSs.Based on the identification of the produced intermediates by LC–MS/MS,possible degradation pathways of SDZ,which include desulfonation,oxidation and cleavage,were put forwards.After UV irradiation for 4 h,nearly 90%of the total organic carbon(TOC)can be removed in suspensions of TiO_(2)-NSs,indicating the mineralization of SDZ.TiO_(2)-NSs also exhibits excellent stability in photocatalytic degradation of SDZ in wide range of pH.Even after recycling used for 7 times,more than 91.3%of the SDZ can be efficiently removed,indicating that they are promising to be practically used in treatment of wastewater containing antibiotics.Xiaofan Xiang Laiyan Wu Junjiang Zhu Jiazhou Li Xi Liao Hongcheng Huang Jiajie Fan Kangle Lv 2021Chinese Chemical Letters2021,32,10:0

20The Coulomb Stress Change Associated with the Taiwan Straits M_S 7.3 Earthquake on September 16,1994 and the Risk Prediction of Its Surrounding Faults显示文摘Using the focal mechanism solutions and slip distribution model data of the Taiwan Straits MS7.3 earthquake on September 16, 1994, we calculate the static Coulomb stress changes stemming from the earthquake. Based on the distribution of aftershocks and stress field, as well as the location of historical earthquakes, we analyze the Coulomb stress change triggered by the Taiwan Straits MS7.3 earthquake. The result shows that the static Coulomb stress change obtained by forward modeling based on the slip distribution model is quite consistent with the location of aftershocks in the areas far away from the epicenter. Ninety percent of aftershocks occurred in the stress increased areas. The Coulomb stress change is not entirely consistent with the distribution of aftershocks near the epicenter. It is found that Coulomb stress change can better reflect the aftershock distribution far away from the epicenter, while such corresponding relationship becomes quite complex near the epicenter. Through the calculation of the Coulomb stress change, we find that the stress increases in the southwest part of the Min-Yue (Fujian-Guangdong) coastal fault zone, which enhances the seismic activity. Therefore, it is deemed that the sea area between Nanpeng Island and Dongshan Island, where the Min-Yue coastal fault zone intersects with the NW-trending Shanghang-Dongshan fault, has a high seismic risk.Wang Shaowen Zhan Wenhuan Zhang Fan Zhu Junjiang 2013Earthquake Research in China2013,27,1:0
