| 1 | Is resource allocation and grain yield of rice altered by inoculation with arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi?显示文摘Aims our study quantified the combined effects of fertilization and inoculation with arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi(AMF)on grain yield and allocation of biomass and nutrients in field-grown rice(Oryza sativa l.).Methods a two-factor experiment was conducted at a field site in northeast of China(in shuangcheng,Heilongjiang Province,songhua river basin):six nitrogen-phosphorus-potassium fertilizer levels were provided(0,20,40,60,80 and 100%of the local norm of ferti-lizer supply),with or without inoculation with Glomus mosseae.at maturity,we quantified the percentage of root length colonization by AMF,grain yield,shoot:root ratios,shoot N and P contents and nutrients allocated to panicles,leaves and stems.Important Findingsas expected,inoculation resulted in greatly increased AMF colo-nization,which in turn led to higher shoot:root ratios and greater shoot N contents.shoot:root ratios of inoculated rice increased with increasing fertilization while there was a significant interaction between fertilization and inoculation on shoot:root ratio.additionally,a F inoculation increased panicle:shoot ratios,panicle N:shoot N ratios and panicle P:shoot P ratios,especially in plants grown at low fertilizer levels.Importantly,inoculated rice exhibited higher grain yield,with the maximum improvement(near 62%)at the lower fertilizer end.our results showed that(i)AMFinoculated plants conform to the functional equilibrium theory,albeit to a reduced extent compared to non-inoculated plants and(ii)AMF inoculation resulted in greater allocation of shoot biomass to panicles and increased grain yield by stimulating N and P redis-tribution to panicles. | Shujuan Zhang Li Wang Fang Ma Keith J.Bloomfield Jixian Yang Owen K.Atkin | 2015 | Journal of Plant Ecology2015,8,4: | 5 |
| 2 | Pseudomonas sp.ZXY-1,a newly isolated and highly efficient atrazine-degrading bacterium,and optimization of biodegradation using response surface methodology显示文摘Atrazine, a widely used herbicide, is increasing the agricultural production effectively, while also causing great environmental concern. Efficient atrazine-degrading bacterium is necessary to removal atrazine rapidly to keep a safe environment. In the present study, a new atrazine-degrading strain ZXY-1, identified as Pseudomonas, was isolated. This new isolated strain has a strong ability to biodegrade atrazine with a high efficiency of 9.09 mg/L/hr.Temperature, p H, inoculum size and initial atrazine concentration were examined to further optimize the degradation of atrazine, and the synthetic effect of these factors were investigated by the response surface methodology. | 3 | Characterization and biodegradation kinetics of a new cold-adapted carbamazepine-degrading bacterium, Pseudomonas sp. CBZ-4显示文摘Carbamazepine is frequently detected in waters and hardly eliminated during conventional wastewater treatment processes due to its complicated chemical structure and resistance to biodegradation. A carbamazepine-degrading bacterium named CBZ-4 was isolated at a low temperature(10°C) from activated sludge in a municipal wastewater treatment plant. Strain CBZ-4, which can use carbamazepine as its sole source of carbon and energy, was identified as Pseudomonas sp. by the 16S rRNA gene sequence. The composition and percentage of fatty acids, which can reveal the cold-adaptation mechanism of strain CBZ-4, were determined. Strain CBZ-4 can efectively degrade carbamazepine at optimal conditions: pH 7.0, 10°C, 150 r/min rotation speed, and 13% inoculation volume. The average removal rate of carbamazepine was 46.6% after 144 hr of incubation. The biodegradation kinetics of carbamazepine by CBZ-4 was fitted via the Monod model. | 4 | Randomized controlled study of a diagnosis and treatment plan for moderate coronavirus disease 2019 that integrates Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate the clinical efficacy and safety of a diagnosis and treatment plan for moderate coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)that integrates traditional Chinese(TCM)and western medicine.METHODS:One hundred twenty patients with moderate COVID-19 were randomized 1∶2 to the control group(n=40)and experimental group(n=80).Both groups received conventional western medicine treatment,and the experimental group also received TCM decoction.Over a 2-week period from diagnosis,we observed the time to clinical recovery(TTCR),rate of improvement on lung computed tomography(CT)imaging,time to defervescence,cough remission time,hospital discharge rate,average hospitalization stay,modified Medical Research Council(m MRC)scale score,clinical cure rate,laboratory findings,incidence of progression to severe or critical disease,and adverse events.RESULTS:Among 120 enrolled patients,108 completed the study.The baseline data did not differ between the experimental and control groups(all P>0.05).After treatment,the TTCR,rate of lung CT imaging improvement,time to defervescence,cough remission time,hospital discharge rate,average hospitalization stay(among discharged patients),m MRC scale score,clinical cure rate,and rates of normal values for laboratory findings were better in the experimental group than in the control group(P<0.05 or<0.01).The incidence of progression to severe or critical disease and the incidence of adverse events did not differ between the two groups(P>0.05).CONCLUSION:The diagnosis and treatment plan integrating Chinese and western medicine showed improved clinical efficacy compared with western medicine alone for patients with moderate COVID-19 and is worthy of clinical promotion and application. | XIA Wenguang ZHENG Chanjuan ZHANG Jixian HUANG Min LI Qinglin DUAN Can LI Zhengliang FAN Cunyu ZOU Yilong XU Bo YANG Fengwen LIU Qingquan | 2022 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2022,42,2: | 2 |

| 15 | Causal Analysis Between Rice Growth and Cadmium Accumulation and Transfer under Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Inoculation显示文摘Cadmium(Cd)contamination in rice has been a serious threat to human health.To investigate the effects of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi(AMF)on the Cd translocation in rice,a controlled pot experiment was conducted.The results indicated that AMF significantly increased rice biomass,with an increase of up to 40.0%,particularly in root biomass by up to 68.4%.Notably,the number of prominent rice individuals also increased,and their plasticity was enhanced following AMF inoculation.AMF led to an increase in the net photosynthetic rate and antioxidant enzyme activity of rice.In the AMF treatment group,the Cd concentration in the rice roots was significantly higher(19.1%‒68.0%)compared with that in the control group.Conversely,the Cd concentration in the rice seeds was lower in the AMF treatment group,indicating that AMF facilitated the sequestration of Cd in rice roots and reduced Cd accumulation in the seeds.Path coefficients varied across different treatments,suggesting that AMF inoculation reduced the direct impact of soil Cd concentration on the total Cd accumulation in seeds.The translocation of Cd was consistently associated with simultaneous growth dilution and compensatory accumulation as a result of mycorrhizal effects.Our study quantitatively analyzed this process through path analysis and clarified the causal relationship between rice growth and Cd transfer under the influence of AMF. | ZHAO Ting WANG Li YANG Jixian MA Fang | 2024 | Rice science2024,31,2: | 0 |
| 16 | Phenotypic plasticity in rice:responses to fertilization and inoculation with arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi显示文摘Aims Changes in the phenotype of crops(phenotypic plasticity)are known to play an important role in determining responses to nutrient availability,with the direction and magnitude of plasticity of individual traits being crucial for grain yields.Our study analysed the direction,magnitude and hierarchy of plastic responses of yieldrelated traits(i.e.biomass allocation and yield components)of rice(Oryza sativa L.)to nutrient availability.We estimated the effect of inoculation with arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi(AMF)on these characteristics of phenotypic plasticity.Methods A field experiment was carried out in northeast China,providing rice with six NPK fertilizer levels with or without inoculation with Glomus mosseae.At maturity,we quantified biomass allocation traits(shoot:root ratio and panicle:shoot ratio)and yield component traits(panicle number per hill,spikelet number per panicle,percentage of filled spikelets and seed weight).We also assessed the direction of change in each trait and the magnitude of trait plasticity.Important Findings In non-inoculated plants,we found that biomass allocation and seed-number traits(i.e.panicle number per hill,spikelet number per panicle and percentage of filled spikelets)responded to fertilization in the same direction,increasing with rising fertilization.Panicle formation was the most plastic trait,while seed mass was the least plastic trait.AMF inoculation nullified the relationship between most biomass allocation and seed-number traits(except for that between panicle:shoot ratio and the percentage of filled spikelets)but increased the magnitude of plasticity in biomass allocation traits without altering the hierarchy of traits’plasticity.These results underscore the importance of plasticity of yield-related traits per se,and the impact of AMF on plasticity,for maintaining rice yields under low fertilization regimes. | Shujuan Zhang Li Wang Fang Ma Jixian Yang Owen K.Atkin | 2016 | Journal of Plant Ecology2016,9,1: | 0 |

| 18 | 胃中部癌前哨淋巴结邻近、横向和跳跃性转移的临床分析(英文)显示文摘Objective: To investigate the distribution pathway of sentinel lymph nodes (SLN) in middle third gastric carci-noma, as the foundation for rational lymphadenectomy. Methods: 52 cases of middle third tumors with solitary lymph nodes from 1852 gastric carcinomas were selected. The locations and histological types of metastatic lymph nodes were analyzed retrospectively. Results: Of 52 solitary node metastases cases, 37 were limited to perigastric nodes (N1), while 15 with skipping metastasis. In the 35 cases with tumor of lesser curvature, there were 17 cases found lymph nodes of the lesser curvature side (No. 3), 5 cases involved lymph nodes of the greater curvature (No. 4), and 8 cases with lymph nodes of the left gastric artery (No. 7). In the 17 cases with tumor of greater curvature, 7 cases spread to No. 4, while 3 metastasized to lymph nodes of the spleen hilum (No. 10). The difference of the histological types in groups N1 and over N1, were not statistically significant (P > 0.05). | 19 | Genome-wide association study exposed the pleiotropic genes for yield-related and oil quality traits in Brassica napus L.显示文摘Oilseed rape(Brassica napus L.) is an allotetraploid(AACC,2n=38) crop,valued for its edible oil and protein content.seed yield and nutritional composition of rapeseed are influenced by its yield and oil quality traits.However,the genetic basis of yield-related and oil-quality traits remain ambiguous.A panel of 266 diversified oilseed rape accessions was genotyped using 223 simple sequence repeat(SSR) markers covering all 19 chromosomes to identify significant markers associated with yield and quality traits.Twelve yield-related and six quality traits were investigated in two consecutive years(2014 and 2015),with three replications in two environments(Changshun,CS;and Qinghe,QH).Using the model GLM with population structure and kinship(Q+K),a total of 25 significant SSR markers(P <0.001) were detected to be associated with these twelve yield-related and six quality traits,explaining 4.56%-19.17% of the phenotypic variation for each trait.Based on these markers,BnaA03g23490D, BnaC09g46370D,BnaA07g37150D,BnaA01g32590D, and BnaC09g37280D were identified as pleiotropic genes controlling multiple traits.These candidate genes illustrated the potential for the genetic understanding of yield and oil quality traits.Most importantly,these significant markers can be used for marker-assisted breeding of oilseed rape in different environments. | Yang Xiang M.M.U.Helal Longbing Liang Minqin Zhang Hongshi Han Xianglai Dai Jixian Zhao Dalun Chen Xianping Wang Min Li Chuanji Zhao | 2023 | Oil Crop Science2023,8,3: | 0 |
