| 4 | Reduction kinetics of iron oxide pellets with H_2 and CO mixtures显示文摘Reduction of hematite pellets using H2–CO mixtures with a wide range of H2/CO by molar(1:0, 3:1, 1:1, 1:3, and 0:1) at different reducing temperatures(1073, 1173, and 1273 K) was conducted in a program reducing furnace. Based on an unreacted core model, the effective diffusion coefficient and reaction rate constant in several cases were determined, and then the rate-control step and transition were analyzed. In the results, the effective diffusion coefficient and reaction rate constant increase with the rise in temperature or hydrogen content. Reduction of iron oxide pellets using an H2–CO mixture is a compound control system; the reaction rate is dominated by chemical reaction at the very beginning, competition during the reduction process subsequently, and internal gas diffusion at the end. | 13 | Submucosal esophageal abscess evolving into intramural submucosal dissection:A case report显示文摘BACKGROUND Here we report a rare case of submucosal esophageal abscess evolving into intramural submucosal dissection.CASE SUMMARY An 80-year-old woman was admitted to our emergency department with a chief complaint of dysphagia and fever.Laboratory tests showed mild leukocytosis and elevated C-reactive protein level.Computed tomography showed thickening of the esophageal wall.Upper endoscopy showed a laceration of the esophageal mucosa and a submucosal mass.Spontaneous drainage occurred,and we could see purulent exudate from the crevasse.We closed the laceration with endoscopic clips.The patient did not remember swallowing a foreign body;however,she ate crabs before the symptoms occurred.We prescribed the patient with antibiotic,and the symptoms were gradually relieved.Two months later,upper endoscopy showed that the laceration was healed,and the submucosal abscess disappeared.However,intramural esophageal dissection was formed.We performed endoscopic incision of the septum using dual-knife effectively.CONCLUSION In conclusion,we are the first to report the case of esophageal submucosal abscess evolving into intramural esophageal dissection.The significance of this case lies in clear presentation of the evolution process between two disorders.In addition,we recommend that endoscopic incision be considered as one of the routine therapeutic modalities of intramural esophageal dissection. | Yang Jiao Yin-He Sikong Ai-Jun Zhang Xiu-Li Zuo Pu-Yue Gao Qing-Guo Ren Ru-Yuan Li | 2022 | World Journal of Clinical Cases2022,10,29: | 1 |

| 15 | Selective sulfur conversion with surface engineering of electrocatalysts in a lithium-sulfur battery显示文摘The sluggish kinetics of multiphase sulfur conversion with homogeneous and heterogeneous electrochemical processes,causing the“shuttle effect”of soluble polysulfide species(PSs),is the challenges in terms of lithium-sulfur batteries(LSBs).In this paper,a Mn_(3)O_(4-x) catalyst,which has much higher activity for heterogeneous reactions than for homogeneous reactions(namely,preferentialactivity catalysts),is designed by surface engineering with rational oxygen vacancies.Due to the rational design of the electronic structure,the Mn_(3)O_(4-x) catalyst prefers to accelerate the conversion of Li2S4 into Li_(2)S_(2)/Li_(2)S and optimize Li_(2)S deposition,reducing the accumulation of PSs and thus suppressing the“shuttle effect.”Both density functional theory calculations and in situ X-ray diffraction measurements are used to probe the catalytic mechanism and identify the reaction intermediates of MnS and Li_(y)Mn_(z)O_(4-x) for fundamental understanding.The cell with Mn_(3)O_(4-x) delivers an ultralow attenuation rate of 0.028% per cycle over 2000 cycles at 2.5 C.Even with sulfur loadings of 4.93 and 7.10mg cm^(-2) in a lean electrolyte(8.4μL mg s^(-1)),the cell still shows an initial areal capacity of 7.3mAh cm^(-2).This study may provide a new way to develop preferential-activity heterogeneous-reaction catalysts to suppress the“shuttle effect”of the soluble PSs generated during the redox process of LSBs. | Yuejin Zhu Yinze Zuo Xuechao Jiao Revanasiddappa Manjunatha Ejikeme Raphael Ezeigwe Wei Yan Jiujun Zhang | 2023 | Carbon Energy2023,5,2: | 1 |

| 19 | Chromosome-level assembly of triploid genome of Sichuan pepper(Zanthoxylum armatum)显示文摘As an important spice species in Rutaceae, the Sichuan pepper (Zanthoxylum armatum) can provide pungent and numbing taste, as well as aroma in its mature fruit. Here we assembled a chromosome-level genome of green prickly ash which was widely cultivated in a major production area including Chongqing and Sichuan province, China. We generated 712 Gb (~112×) PacBio long reads and 511 Gb (~82×) Hi-C data, and yielded an assembly of 99 pseudochromosomes with total size of 5.32 Gb and contig N50 of 796 kb. The genomic analyses and cytogenetic experiments both indicated that the cultivarZhuye Huajiao’ was a triploid. We identified a Zanthoxylum-specific whole genome duplication event emerging about 24.8 million years ago (Mya). We also detected a transposition burst event (0.3-0.4 Mya) responsible for the large genome size of Z. armatum. Metabolomic analysis of the Zanthoxylum fruits during development stages revealed profiles of39 volatile aroma compounds and 528 secondary metabolites, from which six types of sanshools were identified. Based on metabolomic and transcriptomic network analysis, we screened candidate genes encoding long chain acyl-CoA synthetase, fatty acid desaturase,branched-chain amino acid aminotransferase involved in sanshool biosynthesis and three genes encoding terpene synthase during fruit development.
