3Progress of Jinping Underground laboratory for Nuclear Astrophysics(JUNA)显示文摘Jinping Underground laboratory for Nuclear Astrophysics(JUNA) will take the advantage of the ultra-low background of CJPL lab and high current accelerator based on an ECR source and a highly sensitive detector to directly study for the first time a number of crucial reactions occurring at their relevant stellar energies during the evolution of hydrostatic stars. In its first phase, JUNA aims at the direct measurements of^(25)Mg(p,γ)^(26)Al,^(19)F(p,α)^(16)O,^(13)C(α,n)^(16)O and ^(12)C(α,γ)^(16)O reactions. The experimental setup,which includes an accelerator system with high stability and high intensity, a detector system, and a shielding material with low background, will be established during the above research. 5GRACE observed mass loss in the middle and lower Yangtze basin显示文摘Anthropogenic architectures have a significant impact to the environment. The Three Gorges Dam(TGD),as the largest dam in the world, is a typical example, and has influenced the mass anomalies transported by the flow downstream in the Yangtze River since June 2003. However, the evidence of TGD influence on downstream mass transportation is not documented. In this study, we analyze the monthly gravity solutions from GRACE to investigate the downstream mass variations of Yangtze River. From our results,the considerable mass loss is detected in the downstream of TGD. By comparing our estimations with the in situ water level data of TGD, we find that the mass variations derived from GRACE at Datong station decreases shortly after the impoundment of TGD. This confirms a strong connection between them.Furthermore, by comparing with the in situ sediment load and river discharge at Yichang and Datong gauging stations, we find that the sediment load data shows a similar mass loss signature while the river discharge of both stations has stay at a relative stable level. 10Junctional and somatic hypermutation-induced CX4C motif is critical for the recognition of a highly conserved epitope on HCV E2 by a human broadly neutralizing antibody显示文摘Induction of broadly neutralizing monoclonal antibodies(bNAbs)that bind to the viral envelope glycoproteins is a major goal of hepatitis C virus(HCV)vaccine research.The study of bNAbs arising in natural infection is essential in this endeavor.We generated a human antibody,8D6,recognizing the E2 protein of HCV isolated from a chronic hepatitis C patient.This antibody shows broadly neutralizing activity,which covers a pan-genotypic panel of cell culture-derived HCV virions(HCVcc).Functional and epitope analyses demonstrated that 8D6 can block the interaction between E2 and CD81 by targeting a highly conserved epitope on E2.We describe how the 8D6 lineage evolved via somatic hypermutation to achieve broad neutralization.We found that the V(D)J recombination-generated junctional and somatic hypermutation-induced disulfide bridge(C-C)motif in the CDRH3 is critical for the broad neutralization and binding activity of 8D6.This motif is conserved among a series of broadly neutralizing HCV antibodies,indicating a common binding model.Next,the 8D6 inferred germline(iGL)was reconstructed and tested for its binding affinity and neutralization activity.Interestingly,8D6 iGL-mediated relatively strong inhibition of the 1b genotype PR79L9 strain,suggesting that PR79L9 may serve as a potential natural viral strain that provides E2 sequences that induce bNAbs.Overall,our detailed epitope mapping and genetic studies of the HCV E2-specific mAb 8D6 have allowed for further refinement of antigenic sites on E2 and reveal a new mechanism to generate a functional CDRH3,while its iGL can serve as a probe to identify potential HCV vaccine strains.Chunyan Yi Jing Xia Lan He Zhiyang Ling Xuesong Wang Yu Yan Jiangjun Wang Xinhao Zhao Weiguo Fan Xiaoyu Sun Ronghua Zhang Sheng Ye Rongguang Zhang Yongfen Xu Liyan Ma Yaguang Zhang Honglin Zhou Zhong Huang Junqi Niu Gang Long Junxia Lu Jin Zhong Bing Sun 2021Cellular & Molecular Immunology2021,18,3:0
11Optoeletronic investigation of Cu2ZnSn(S,Se)4 thin-films & Cu2Zn Sn(S,Se)4/CdS interface with scanning probe microscopy显示文摘The kesterite-structured semiconductor Cu_2 Zn Sn(S,Se)_4(CZTSSe) is prepared by spin coating a non-hydrazine precursor and annealing at Se atmosphere. Local electrical and optoelectronic properties of the CZTSSe thin-film are explored by Kelvin probe force microscopy and conductive atomic force microscopy. Before and after irradiation, no marked potential bending and very low current flow are observed at GBs, suggesting that GBs behave as a charge recombination site and an obstacle for charge transport. Furthermore, Cd S nano-islands are synthesized via successive ionic layer adsorption and reaction(SILAR) method on the surface of CZTSSe. 12Clay Mineralogy and its Paleoclimatic Significance of the OligoceneMiocene Sediments in the Gerze Basin, Tibet显示文摘This study collected the early Oligocene to middle Miocene sediments from the Gerze Basin of Tibet, and used X-Ray diffraction(XRD) and Scanning Electron Microscope(SEM) to discuss their clay mineralolgy, clay indices, better understand the clay mineralogy and its paleoclimatic significance. The results show that clay minerals of the Gerze Basin sediments are mainly composed of illite and chlorite, with minor amounts of smectite and kaolinite, and their relative content varies along the section. Variations of relative contents and clay indices suggest that the Gerze Basin has experienced three-stage evolution of paleoclimate: Ⅰ) high illite and chlorite contents, with fluctuant smectite and low(I+Ch)/(K+S) ratio, indicative of a dominant seasonal arid climate from the early Oligocene to late Oligocene; Ⅱ) higher illite and chlorite contents and larger(I+Ch)/(K+S) ratio but absence of kaolinite, indicating a colder and drier climate from the late Oligocene to early Miocene; Ⅲ) high illite and chlorite contents with fluctuant(I+Ch)/(K+S) ratios and occasional occurrence of kaolinite, suggesting that the climate became warmer and more humid compared with that of stage Ⅱin the mid-Miocene. These conclusions were also reinforced by the clay morphology, which suggests that physical weathering dominated in stage Ⅱ, while relatively strong chemical weathering was dominant in stages Ⅰ and Ⅲ. Clay minerals of the sediments mainly consist of illite and chlorite, indicating that the source rock played a significant role in clay origin. It is inferred that global cooling and the enhancement of denudation and obstruction of northward moisture due to the uplift of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau were responsible for the provenance of illite and chlorite under weak chemical weathering.
