| 2 | Application of waste frying oils in the biosynthesis of biodemulsifier by a demulsifying strain Alcaligenes sp.S-XJ-1显示文摘Exploration of biodemulsifiers has become a new research aspect.Using waste frying oils(WFOs) as carbon source to synthesize biodemulsifiers has a potential prospect to decrease production cost and to improve the application of biodemulsifiers in the oilfield.In this study,a demulsifying strain,Alcaligenes sp.S-XJ-1,was investigated to synthesize a biodemulsifier using waste frying oils as carbon source.It was found that the increase of initial pH of culture medium could increase the biodemulsifier yield but decrease the demulsification ratio compared to that using paraffin as carbon source.In addition,a biodemulsifier produced by waste frying oils and paraffin as mixed carbon source had a lower demulsification capability compared with that produced by paraffin or waste frying oil as sole carbon source.Fed-batch fermentation of biodemulsifier using waste frying oils as supplementary carbon source was found to be a suitable method.Mechanism of waste frying oils utilization was studied by using tripalmitin,olein and tristearin as sole carbon sources to synthesize biodemulsifier.The results showed saturated long-chain fatty acid was diffcult for S-XJ-1 to utilize but could effectively enhance the demulsification ability of the produced biodemulsifier.Moreover,FT-IR result showed that the demulsification capability of biodemulsifiers was associated with the content of C=O group and nitrogen element. | Jia Liu Kaiming Peng Xiangfeng Huang Lijun Lu Hang Cheng Dianhai Yang Qi Zhou Huiping Deng | 2011 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2011,23,6: | 4 |

| 5 | Dynamic flow resistivity based model for sound absorption of multi-layer sintered fibrous metals显示文摘The sound absorbing performance of the sintered fibrous metallic materials is investigated by employing a dynamic flow resistivity based model,in which the porous material is modeled as randomly distributed parallel fibers specified by two basic physical parameters:fiber diameter and porosity.A self-consistent Brinkman approach is applied to the calculation of the dynamic resistivity of flow perpendicular to the cylindrical fibers.Based on the solved flow resistivity,the sound absorption of single layer fibrous material can be obtained by adopting the available empirical equations.Moreover,the recursion formulas of surface impedance are applied to the calculation of the sound absorption coefficient of multi-layer fibrous materials.Experimental measurements are conducted to validate the proposed model,with good agreement achieved between model predictions and tested data.Numerical calculations with the proposed model are subsequently performed to quantify the influences of fiber diameter,porosity and backed air gap on sound absorption of uniform(single-layer)fibrous materials.Results show that the sound absorption increases with porosity at higher frequencies but decreases with porosity at lower frequencies.The sound absorption also decreases with fiber diameter at higher frequencies but increases at lower frequencies.The sound absorption resonance is shifted to lower frequencies with air gap.For multi-layer fibrous materials,gradient distributions of both fiber diameter and porosity are introduced and their effects on sound absorption are assessed.It is found that increasing the porosity and fiber diameter variation improves sound absorption in the low frequency range.The model provides the possibility to tailor the sound absorption capability of the sintered fibrous materials by optimizing the gradient distributions of key physical parameters. | MENG Han AO QingBo TANG HuiPing XIN FengXian LU TianJian | 2014 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2014,57,11: | 3 |

| 9 | Extracellular-superoxide dismutase DNA methylation promotes oxidative stress in homocysteine-induced atherosclerosis显示文摘In the present study,we investigate the effect of homocysteine(Hcy)on extracellular-superoxide dismutase(ECSOD)DNA methylation in the aorta of mice,and explore the underlying mechanism in macrophages,trying to identify the key targets of Hcy-induced EC-SOD methylation changes.ApoE--mice are fed different diets for 15 weeks,EC-SODand DNAmethyltransferase1(DNMT1)expression levels aredetected byRT-PCRandwestern blot analysis.EC-SOD methylation levels are assessed by ntMS-PCR.After EC-SOD overexpression or knockdown in macrophages,following the transfection of macrophages with pEGFP-N1-DNMT1,the methylation levels of ECSOD are detected.Our data show that the concentrations of Hcy and the area of atherogenic lesions are significantly increased in ApoE--mice fed with a high-methionine diet,and have a positive correlation with the levels of superoxide anions,which indicates that Hcy-activated superoxide anions enhance the development of atherogenic lesions.EC-SOD expression is suppressed by Hcy,and the content of superoxide anion is increased when EC-SOD is silenced by RNAi in macrophages,suggesting that EC-SOD plays a major part in oxidative stress induced by Hcy.Furthermore,the promoter activity of EC-SOD is increased following transfection with the-1/-110o fragment,and EC-SOD methylation level is significantly suppressed by Hcy,and more significantly decreased upon DNMT1 overexpression.In conclusion,Hcy may alter the DNA methylation status and DNMT1 acts as the essential enzyme in the methyl transfer process to disturb the status of EC-SOD DNA methylation,leading to decreased expression of Ec-sODandincreasedoxidativestressandatherosclerosis. | Shengchao Ma Guanjun Lu Qing Zhang Ning Ding Yuzhen Jie Hui Zhang Lingbo Xu Lin Xie Xiaoling Yang Huiping Zhang Yideng Jiang | 2022 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2022,54,9: | 1 |

| 15 | Hydrothermal synthesis of zeolitic material from circulating fluidized bed combustion fly ash for the highly efficient removal of lead from aqueous solution显示文摘The utilization of coal fly ash derived from circulating fluidized bed combustion(CFBFA)still faces great challenges because of its unique characteristics.In this study,a zeolitic material with Na-P1 zeolite as the main phase was successfully synthesized via a hydrothermal method by using CFBFA as the raw material.The effects of hydrothermal temperature,time,and added CTAB amount on the characterizations of synthesized materials were investigated by XRD,SEM,and XPS.The properties of the optimal zeolitic material and its adsorption performance for Pb^(2+)in aqueous solution were evaluated.The influences of pH,initial concentration,dosage,and temperature on Pb^(2+)adsorption were also examined.Results revealed the following optimal parameters for the synthesis of zeolitic material:NaOH concentration of 2 mol·L^(-1),solid-to-liquid ratio of 1:10 g·ml^(-1),hydrothermal temperature of 110℃,hydrothermal time of 9 h,and CTAB amount of 1 g(per 100 ml solution).The adsorption capacities of the zeolitic material reached 329.67,424.69,and 542.22 mg·g^(-1) when the pH values of aqueous solution were 5,6,and 7,respectively.The Pb^(2+)removal efficiency can reach more than 99%in aqueous solution with the initial concentrations of 100-300 mg·L^(-1) under pH 6 and suitable adsorbent dosage.The adsorption and kinetics of Pb^(2+)on the zeolitic material can be described by Langmuir isotherm and pseudo-second-order kinetic models,respectively.The ion exchange between Pb^(2+)and Na^(+)and chemisorption are the main adsorption mechanism.All these findings imply that the synthesis of low-cost adsorbent for Pb^(2+)removal from weak acid and neutral aqueous solution provides a highly effective method to utilize CFBFA. | Zhibin Ma Xueli Zhang Guangjun Lu Yanxia Guo Huiping Song Fangqin Cheng | 2022 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2022,35,7: | 0 |
| 16 | The impacts of base level and lithology on fluvial geomorphic evolution at the tectonically active Laohu and Hasi Mountains,northeastern Tibetan Plateau显示文摘Previous researches had emphasized tectonic impacts on the fluvial system at the tectonically active areas,while the effects of lithology and local base level change have received relatively rare attention.Here we investigated fluvial landforms at different spatial scales,focusing on knickpoints and channel network reorganization from an area affected by the Haiyuan Fault in the northeastern Tibetan Plateau.The geomorphic indices,i.e.,drainage pattern andχanomalies,were calculated and investigated.The results show that two regional radial drainages formed around the Laohu and Hasi Mountains.Within the interior of the radial drainage,tributaries from the southeast side of the Laohu Mountain experienced near 180°direction change.We interpret this as the gradual drainage capture originating from the height difference(~190 m)of the local base level between the two catchments.Some tributaries from the Hasi Mountain show alternating gorges and broad valleys controlled by lithology.Besides,tectonic uplift and the lowering of base level(from the incision of the Yellow River)triggered an autogenic positivefeedback transition from parallel to dendritic drainage patterns.These observations suggest that base level change and lithology play a crucial role in landscape evolution,even in a tectonically active region. | Zhengchen LI Xianyan WANG Yang YU Huiping ZHANG Qi SU Xiaodong MIAO Huayu LU | 2021 | Science China Earth Sciences2021,64,6: | 0 |
