2The effects of phenolic acid on nitrogen metabolism in Populus 3 euramericana ‘Neva’显示文摘The declines in soil fertility and productivity in continuously cropped poplar plantations are related to phenolic acid accumulation in the soil.Nitrogen is a vital life element for poplar and whether the accumulation of phenolic acid could influence nitrogen metabolism in poplar and thereby hinder continuous cropping is not clear.In this study, poplar cuttings of Populus × euramericana‘Neva’ were potted in vermiculite, and phenolic acids at three concentrations(0 X, 0.5 X and 1.0 X) were added according to the actual content(1.0 X) in the soil of a second-generation poplar plantation.Each treatment had eight replicates.We measured gas exchange parameters and the activities of key enzymes related to nitrogen metabolism in the leaves.Leaf photosynthetic parameters varied with the concentration of phenolic acids.The net photosynthetic rate(P_N) significantly decreased with increasing phenolic acid concentration, and non-stomatal factors might have been the primary limitation for P_N.The activities of nitrate reductase(NR), glutamine synthetase(GS) and glutamate synthase(GOGAT), as well as the contents of nitrate nitrogen, ammonium nitrogen, and total nitrogen in the leaves decreased with increasing phenolic acid concentration.This was significantly and positively related to P_N(P<0.05).The low concentration of phenolic acids mainly affected the transformation process of NO_3^- to NO_2^-, while the high concentration of phenolic acids affected both processes, where NO_3^- was transferred to NO_2^- and NH_4^+ was transferred to glutamine(Gln).Overall, phenolic acid had significant inhibitory effects on the photosynthetic productivity of Populus × euramericana‘Neva’.This was probably due to its influence on the activities of nitrogen assimilation enzymes, which reduced the amount of amino acids that were translated into protein and enzymes.Improving the absorption and utilization of nitrogen by plants could help to overcome the problems caused by continuous cropping.Hui Li Huicheng Xie Zilong Du Xianshuang Xing Jie Zhao Jing Guo Xia Liu Shuyong Zhang 2018Journal of Forestry Research2018,29,4:2

4Analyzing the Relation Between Earthquakes and Active Faults Based on the Parameter Optimization Model显示文摘The gestation and occurrence of strong earthquakes are closely related to fault activity, which is not only revealed by abundant experimentation and seismism but also proved by modern seismology. On the Chinese mainland, the relation between earthquake activity and active faults is one of the bases for partitioning potential seismic sources, analyzing the seismotectonics and estimating location of strong earthquakes.Due to the nonuniformity of earth media, instability of observation systems and disturbance of the environment, etc, the variety of observational data is complicated, that is, there is no absolutely 'normal' or 'abnormal', and seismic anomalies can be divided into many mutually exclusive 'abnormal states'. In different conditions of combined time-space-strength, determining seismic anomalies by different monomial forecast methods and its efficiency could be different due to the uncertainty of a precursor itself or complexity of the relationship between a precursor and earthquake gestation. It is very difficult to discover and dispose of this difference in actual application in a 'two-state' model. But in a 'multi-state' model, the difference can be easily reflected and the optimal combination of forecasting parameters for a forecast method can also be determined easily.Based on the 'multi-state' precursory model and the optimization method for parameters of earthquake forecast model under the condition of optimal forecast efficiency, the relationship of the spatial location of earthquake with M≥6.0 and active faults in three seismic belts are analyzed. The results demonstrate that in the Hetao Seismic Belt, seismicity is mostly concentrated in the range of 20 km along the fault, the optimization model can forecast the location of potential earthquakes of M≥6.0 near the faults with a relatively high accuracy and the reliability is 0.5; while in the Qilian Mt. Seismic Belt, the reliability only reaches 0.14 when we use the model to estimate earthquakes within 30 km range along the faults. The 'multi-state' precursory model, the efficiency-evaluating model and the parameter selection of individual earthquake forecast model based on optimal efficiency are of certain revelatory and practicable meanings for developing knowledge about precursors, investigating the laws of earthquake preparation and searching for optimal forecasting methods.Shao Huicheng Liu Huafeng Yue Zhufeng 2007Earthquake Research in China2007,21,2:1
5Smart nanoprobe based on two-photon sensitized terbium-carbon dots for dual-mode fluorescence thermometer and antibacterial显示文摘Accurate temperature measurement plays an important role in a variety of industrial processes and scientific researches.In our work,the dual-mode temperature response nanoprobe CDs-Tb-TMPDPA containing a two-photon ligand(4-(2,4,6-trimethoxyphenyl)-pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid,TMPDPA)sensitized Tb3+as a temperature-sensitive unit and carbon dots(CDs)as photothermal reagent and a fluorescence reference unit,have been designed and synthesized.In this system,both the fluorescence intensity ratio and the fluorescence lifetime have a good response to temperature.In additio n,due to the excellent photothermal conversion capability of CDs,photothermal antibacterial ability was also tested.Based on the temperature dependence of the fluorescence and the two-photon excitation characteristics of CDs-Tb-TMPDPA,the nanoprobe can also be used in the anti-counterfeiting.Our finding opens a new prospect for the use of two-photon sensitized dual-mode fluorescence thermometers.Huicheng Yan Hongyuhang Ni Yiwei Yang Changfu Shan Xiaoxi Yang Xiangkai Li Jing Cao Wenyu Wu Weisheng Liu Yu Tang 2020Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,7:1

10Lattice confined Ru single sites in hollow Co_(9)S_(8)polyhedron triggering Co-S-Ru catalytic centers for rechargeable Zn-air battery显示文摘Single-atom catalysts with precise structure and tunable coordination nature provide opportunities for developing novel catalytic centers and understanding reaction mechanisms.Herein,hollow Co_(9)S_(8)polyhedrons with lattice-confined Ru single atoms(Ru-Co_(9)S_(8))are fabricated.Aberration-corrected scanning transmission electron microscopy and X-ray absorption spectroscopy verify the isolated Ru atoms are confined in Co_(9)S_(8)to form Co-S-Ru catalytic centers.Theoretical calculations indicate that the oxygen evolution reaction(OER)and oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)energy barriers are extensively reduced,the d-band center of Co_(9)S_(8)downshifts from the Fermi level,therefore boosting the desorption of O-containing intermediates.Consequently,the Ru-Co_(9)S_(8)exhibits an ultralow overpotential of 163 mV at 10 mA·cm^(−2)for OER and could catalyze a rechargeable Zn-air battery with a high-power density of 92.0 mW·cm^(−2).This work provides a promising approach for designing novel bifunctional catalytic active centers for energy conversion.Xuan Liu Siru Chen Huicheng Wang Anmin Liu Shizheng Wen Liwei Mi Yanqiang Li 2023Nano Research2023,16,5:0
11Phytic acid-modified CeO_(2) as Ca^(2+) inhibitor for a security reversal of tumor drug resistance显示文摘Ca^(2+)plays critical roles in the development of diseases,whereas existing various Ca regulation methods have been greatly restricted in their clinical applications due to their high toxicity and inefficiency.To solve this issue,with the help of Ca overexpressed tumor drug resistance model,the phytic acid(PA)-modified CeO_(2) nano-inhibitors have been rationally designed as an unprecedentedly safe and efficient Ca2+inhibitor to successfully reverse tumor drug resistance through Ca^(2+)negative regulation strategy.Using doxorubicin(Dox)as a model chemotherapeutic drug,the Ca^(2+)nano-inhibitors efficiently deprived intracellular excessive free Ca2+,suppressed P-glycoprotein(P-gp)expression and significantly enhanced intracellular drug accumulation in Dox-resistant tumor cells.This Ca^(2+)negative regulation strategy improved the intratumoral Dox concentration by a factor of 12.4 and nearly eradicated tumors without obvious adverse effects.Besides,nanocerias as pH-regulated nanozyme greatly alleviated the adverse effects of chemotherapeutic drug on normal cells/organs and substantially improved survivals of mice.We anticipate that this safe and effective Ca^(2+)negative regulation strategy has potentials to conquer the pitfalls of traditional Ca inhibitors,improve therapeutic efficacy of common chemotherapeutic drugs and serves as a facile and effective treatment platform of other Ca^(2+) associated diseases.Zhimin Tian Junlong Zhao Shoujie Zhao Huicheng Li Zhixiong Guo Zechen Liang Jiayuan Li Yongquan Qu Dongfeng Chen Lei Liu 2022Nano Research2022,15,5:0
