| 1 | Modeling assessment for ammonium nitrogen recovery from wastewater by chemical precipitation显示文摘Chemical precipitation to form magnesium ammonium phosphate(MAP) is an effective technology for recovering ammonium nitrogen(NH4+-N).In the present research,we investigated the thermodynamic modeling of the PHREEQC program for NH4+-N recovery to evaluate the effect of reaction factors on MAP precipitation.The case study of NH4+-N recovery from coking wastewater was conducted to provide a comparison.Response surface methodology(RSM) was applied to assist in understanding the relative significance of reaction factors and the interactive effects of solution conditions.Thermodynamic modeling indicated that the saturation index(SI) of MAP followed a polynomial function of pH.The SI of MAP increased logarithmically with the Mg2+/NH4+ molar ratio(Mg/N) and the initial NH4+-N concentration(CN),respectively,while it decreased with an increase in Ca2+/NH4+ and CO32?/NH4+ molar ratios(Ca/N and CO32?/N),respectively.The trends for NH4+-N removal at different pH and Mg/N levels were similar to the thermodynamic modeling predictions.The RSM analysis indicated that the factors including pH,Mg/N,CN,Ca/N,(Mg/N)×(CO32?/N),(pH)2,(Mg/N)2,and(CN)2 were significant.Response surface plots were useful for understanding the interaction effects on NH4+-N recovery. | Tao Zhang Qiucheng Li Lili Ding Hongqiang Ren Ke Xu Yonggang Wu Dong Sheng | 2011 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2011,23,6: | 8 |
| 2 | Highly sensitive detection of melamine based on reversed phase liquid chromatography mass spectrometry显示文摘In this work, we developed a highly sensitive method to detect melamine based on reversed phase liquid chromatography mass spectrometry. A mass spectrometry compatible ion pair, heptafluorobu-tyric acid(HFBA), was used to separate melamine by reversed phase liquid chromatography prior to electrospray mass spectrometry. The incorporation of isotope internal standard and multiple reaction monitoring improved the accuracy and linearity of quantification. Based on this strategy, the method limit of quantification was 0.1 ng/g. The limits of quantification were 8 ng/g for liquid milk and 15 ng/g for dry milk powder. | 3 | A detached petal disc assay and virus-induced gene silencing facilitate the study of Botrytis cinerea resistance in rose flowers显示文摘Fresh-cut roses(Rosa hybrida)are one of the most important ornamental crops worldwide,with annual trade in the billions of dollars.Gray mold disease caused by the pathogen Botrytis cinerea is the most serious fungal threat to cut roses,causing extensive postharvest losses.In this study,we optimized a detached petal disc assay(DPDA)for artificial B.cinerea inoculation and quantification of disease symptoms in rose petals.Furthermore,as the identification of rose genes involved in B.cinerea resistance could provide useful genetic and genomic resources,we devised a virusinduced gene silencing(VIGS)procedure for the functional analysis of B.cinerea resistance genes in rose petals.We used RhPR10.1 as a reporter of silencing efficiency and found that the rose cultivar‘Samantha’showed the greatest decrease in RhPR10.1 expression among the cultivars tested.To determine whether jasmonic acid and ethylene are required for B.cinerea resistance in rose petals,we used VIGS to silence the expression of RhLOX5 and RhEIN3(encoding a jasmonic acid biosynthesis pathway protein and an ethylene regulatory protein,respectively)and found that petal susceptibility to B.cinerea was affected.Finally,a VIGS screen of B.cinerea-induced rose transcription factors demonstrated the potential benefits of this method for the high-throughput identification of gene function in B.cinerea resistance.Collectively,our data show that the combination of the DPDA and VIGS is a reliable and highthroughput method for studying B.cinerea resistance in rose. | Xiaoqian Cao Huijun Yan Xintong Liu Dandan Li Mengjie Sui Jie Wu Hongqiang Yu Zhao Zhang | 2019 | Horticulture Research2019,6,1: | 5 |
| 4 | A method of forced extrapolation of the global magnetic field in the solar corona显示文摘We present a method of forced-field(i.e., non-force-free field: NFFF) extrapolation of the global magnetic field in the corona, on the basis of single-layer vector magnetogram, by extending an extrapolation technique of local magnetic field first developed by Hu et al.(2008). The forced coronal magnetic field is described by a system with the minimum dissipation rate(MDR) which is appropriate for the corona as a forced and open system. The obtained solution of the magnetic field can be decomposed into three components including one potential field and two linear force-free fields(LFFF). Starting from the given single-layer vector magnetogram, the bottom boundary condition for each component is determined with an iterative method to achieve a minimum difference of the transverse component between the extrapolated field and the original magnetogram. The final extrapolated forced field is given by the sum of the three component fields with the obtained bottom boundaries. The method is tested with an analytic magnetohydrostatic(MHS) solution. It is shown that the extrapolated forced field is highly consistent with the MHS solution at least from the solar disk to the heliocentric distance of 1.5 solar radii(R⊙). For instance, the complements of normalized and mean vector errors(E’n, E’m) are as high as ~97% and 95%, respectively. | 7 | A generative deep learning framework for airfoil flow field prediction with sparse data显示文摘Deep learning has been probed for the airfoil performance prediction in recent years.Compared with the expensive CFD simulations and wind tunnel experiments,deep learning models can be leveraged to somewhat mitigate such expenses with proper means.Nevertheless,effective training of the data-driven models in deep learning severely hinges on the data in diversity and quantity.In this paper,we present a novel data augmented Generative Adversarial Network(GAN),daGAN,for rapid and accurate flow filed prediction,allowing the adaption to the task with sparse data.The presented approach consists of two modules,pre-training module and fine-tuning module.The pre-training module utilizes a conditional GAN(cGAN)to preliminarily estimate the distribution of the training data.In the fine-tuning module,we propose a novel adversarial architecture with two generators one of which fulfils a promising data augmentation operation,so that the complement data is adequately incorporated to boost the generalization of the model.We use numerical simulation data to verify the generalization of daGAN on airfoils and flow conditions with sparse training data.The results show that daGAN is a promising tool for rapid and accurate evaluation of detailed flow field without the requirement for big training data. | Haizhou WU Xuejun LIU Wei AN Hongqiang LYU | 2022 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2022,35,1: | 2 |

| 10 | A mesh optimization method using machine learning technique and variational mesh adaptation显示文摘Computational mesh is an important ingredient that affects the accuracy and efficiency of CFD numerical simulation.In light of the introduced large amount of computational costs for many adaptive mesh methods,moving mesh methods keep the number of nodes and topology of a mesh unchanged and do not increase CFD computational expense.As the state-of-the-art moving mesh method,the variational mesh adaptation approach has been introduced to CFD calculation.However,quickly estimating the flow field on the updated meshes during the iterative algorithm is challenging.A mesh optimization method,which embeds a machine learning regression model into the variational mesh adaptation,is proposed.The regression model captures the mapping between the initial mesh nodes and the flow field,so that the variational method could move mesh nodes iteratively by solving the mesh functional which is built from the estimated flow field on the updated mesh via the regression model.After the optimization,the density of the nodes in the high gradient area increases while the density in the low gradient area decreases.Benchmark examples are first used to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method.And then we use the steady subsonic and transonic flows over cylinder and NACA0012 airfoil on unstructured triangular meshes to test our method.Results show that the proposed method significantly improves the accuracy of the local flow features on the adaptive meshes.Our work indicates that the proposed mesh optimization approach is promising for improving the accuracy and efficiency of CFD computation. | Tingfan WU Xuejun LIU Wei AN Zenghui HUANG Hongqiang LYU | 2022 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2022,35,3: | 2 |

| 14 | Autofocus technique for ISAR imaging of uniformly rotating targets based on the ExCoV method显示文摘The inverse synthetic aperture radar(ISAR) imaging can be converted into a sparse reconstruction problem and solved by the l_1-norm minimization algorithm. The basis matrix in sparse ISAR imaging is usually characterized by the unknown rotation rate of a moving target, thus the rotation rate and the sparse signal should be jointly estimated. Especially due to the imperfect coarse motion compensation, we consider the phase error correction problem in the context of the sparse signal reconstruction. To address this issue, we propose an iterative reweighted method,which jointly estimates the rotation rate, corrects the phase error and reconstructs a high resolution ISAR image. The proposed method gives a gradual and interweaved iterative process to refine the unknown parameters to achieve the best sparse representation for the ISAR signals. Particularly, in ISAR image reconstruction,the l_1-norm minimization algorithm is sensitive to user parameters.Setting these user parameters are not trivial and the reconstruction performance depends significantly on their choices. Then, we consider an expansion-compression variance-component(ExCoV) based method, which is automatic and demands no prior knowledge about signal-sparsity or measurement-noise levels. Both numerical and electromagnetic data experiments are implemented to show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
