2Spinal CCL2 Promotes Pain Sensitization by Rapid Enhancement of NMDA-Induced Currents Through the ERK-GluN2B Pathway in Mouse Lamina Ⅱ Neurons显示文摘Previous studies have shown that CCL2(C-C motif chemokine ligand 2)induces chronic pain,but the exact mechanisms are still unknown.Here,we established models to explore the potential mechanisms.Behavioral experiments revealed that an antagonist of extracellular signal-regulated kinase(ERK)inhibited not only CCL2-induced inflammatory pain,but also pain responses induced by complete Freund’s adjuvant.We posed the question of the intracellular signaling cascade involved.Subsequent experiments showed that CCL2 up-regulated the expression of phosphorylated ERK(pERK)and N-methyl D-aspartate receptor[NMDAR]subtype 2B(GluN2B);meanwhile,antagonists of CCR2 and ERK effectively reversed these phenomena.Whole-cell patchclamp recordings revealed that CCL2 enhanced the NMDAR-induced currents via activating the pERK pathway,which was blocked by antagonists of GluN2B and ERK.In summary,we demonstrate that CCL2 directly interacts with CCR2 to enhance NMDAR-induced currents,eventually leading to inflammatory pain mainly through the CCL2-CCR2-pERK-GluN2B pathway.Hui Zhang Sui-Bin Ma Yong-Jing Gao Jun-Ling Xing Hang Xian Zhen-Zhen Li Shu-Ning Shen Sheng-Xi Wu Ceng Luo Rou-Gang Xie 2020Neuroscience Bulletin2020,36,11:3
3Mg-doped ZnO radial spherical structures via chemical vapor deposition显示文摘Mg-doped ZnO radial spherical structures with nanorods grown on both sides of the spherical shell were successfully prepared via chemical vapor deposition (CVD) of Zn and Mg powders in the absence of a catalyst. The structures associated with different growth temperatures (700, 800, and 850°C) were monitored by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and the result shows that the length of the nanorods increase progressively with the growth temperature increasing. X-ray diffraction (XRD) shows that the as-obtained samples can be indexed to high crystallinity with wurtzite structure. The growth of the nanostructures mainly depends on the formation of sphere-like Mg-doped Zn droplets before adding oxygen. 4Research progress in the use of leeches for medical purposes显示文摘Leeches are invertebrates that have a long history of application in the development of human medicine in both the East and the West.This paper comprehensively analyzes and evaluates current research and the latest progress with regard to the application of leeches,their medical value,and their application prospects from various perspectives,so as to provide a reference for new viewpoints and directions for research on leeches.Modern research has revealed that leeches contain various bioactive components,which have pharmacological effects such as anticoagulation,antithrombosis,blood viscosity reduction,and anti-atherosclerosis.Leech therapy is an important treatment approach for venous congestion after microsurgery and is also an effective adjuvant treatment for diabetic feet,chronic pain,and tumors.Therefore,leeches are of importance for the research and development of new drugs,the restoration of blood supply after surgery,and the adjuvant treatment of diseases accompanied by blood blocking.In addition,leeches can also be used as model organisms for research in evolutionary biology and invertebrate neurophysiology as well as in neurophysiological,behavioral,and functional studies.Chen-Jing Ma Xian Li Hang Chen 2021Traditional Medicine Research2021,6,2:2
5Aerosol printing and photonic sintering of bioresorbable zinc nanoparticle ink for transient electronics manufacturing显示文摘Bioresorbable electronics technology can potentially lead to revolutionary applications in healthcare, consumer electronics, and data security. This technology has been demonstrated by various functional devices. However, majority of these devices are realized by CMOS fabrication approaches involving complex and time-consuming processes that are high in cost and low in yield. Printing electronics technology represents a series of printing and post processing techniques that hold promise to make high performance bioresorbable electronics devices. But investigation of printing approaches for bioresorbable electronics is very limited. Here we demonstrate fabrication of conductive bioresorbable patterns using aerosol printing and photonic sintering approaches. Experimental results and simulation reveals that ink compositions, photonic energy, film thickness, and ventilation conditions may influence the effect of photonic sintering. A maximum conductivity of 22321.3 S/m can be achieved using 1 flash with energy of 25.88 J/cm^2 with duration of 2 ms. By combining two cascaded sintering procedures using flash light and laser further improve the conductivity to 34722.2 S/m. 7Metal-organic frameworks as functional materials for implantable flexible biochemical sensors显示文摘Metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)exhibit attractive properties such as highly accessible surface area,large porosity,tunable pore size,and built-in redox-active metal sites.They may serve as excellent candidates to construct implantable flexible devices for biochemical sensing due to their high thermal and solution stability.However,MOFs-based sensors have only been mostly reported for in-vitro chemical sensing,their use in implantable chemical sensing and combination with flexible electronics to achieve excellent mechanical compatibility with tissues and organs has rarely been summarized.This paper systematically reviews the biochemical sensors based on MOFs and discusses the feasibility to achieve implantable biochemical sensing through MOFs-based flexible electronics.The properties of MOFs and underlying mechanisms have been intrcxluced,followed by a summarization of different biochemical sensing applications.Strategies to integrate MOFs with flexible devices have been supplied from the standpoints of matching mechanics and compatible fabrication processes.Issues that should be addressed in developing flexible MOFs sensors and potential solutions have also been provided,followed by the perspective for future applications of flexible MOFs sensors.This paper may serve as a reference to offer potential guidelines for the development of flexible MOFs-based biochemical sensors that may benefit future applications in personal healthcare,disease diagnosis and treatment,and fundamental study of various biological processes.Ya Li Wei Ling Xinyu Liu Xue Shang Pan Zhou Zhaorun Chen Hang Xu Xian Huang 2021Nano Research2021,14,9:2

15The protective effect of carnosic acid on dextran sulfate sodium-induced colitis based on metabolomics and gut microbiota analysis显示文摘Accumulating evidence suggests that the gut microbiota plays an important role in the pathogenesis of inflammatory bowel disease(IBD).Carnosic acid(CA)is a major antioxidant component of rosemary and sage.Herein,we investigated the protective effects of dietary CA on dextran sodium sulfate(DSS)-induced colitis mouse model with an emphasis on its impact on the composition and metabolic function of gut microbiota.We found that CA effectively attenuated DSS-stimulated colitis in mice,as evidenced by reduced disease activity index(DAI),and systemic and colonic inflammation.Additionally,CA restored microbial diversity and improved the composition of gut microbiota in DSS-treated mice.Moreover,Spearman’s correlation coefficient showed a significant correlation between the fecal metabolites and the gut microbiota species.Changes in gut microbiota and the correlated metabolites might partially explain CA’s anti-inflammatory effects against colitis.Future clinical trials are needed to determine the therapeutic effects and mechanisms of CA on IBD in humans.Changhui Du Zhenjie Li Jing Zhang Ni Yin Lirong Tang Jie Li Jingyin Sun Xiaoqing Yu Wei Chen Hang Xiao Xian Wu Xuexiang Chen 2023Food Science and Human Wellness2023,12,4:1

19An updated classification for the hyper-diverse genus Corydalis(Papaveraceae: Fumarioideae)based on phylogenomic and morphological evidence显示文摘The genus Corydalis, with ca. 530 species, has long been considered taxonomically challenging because of its great variability. Previous molecular analyses,based on a few molecular markers and incomplete taxonomic sampling, were clearly inadequate to delimit sections and subgenera. We have performed phylogenetic analyses of Corydalis and related taxa,using 65 shared protein-coding plastid genes from313 accessions(including 280 samples of ca. 226species of Corydalis) and 152 universal low-copy nuclear genes from 296 accessions(including 271samples of Corydalis) covering all 42 previously recognized sections and five independent “series”.Phylogenetic trees were inferred using Bayesian Inference and Maximum Likelihood. Eight selected morphological characters were estimated using ancestral state reconstructions. Results include:(i) of the three subgenera of Corydalis, two are fully supported by both the plastid and nuclear data;the third,subg. Cremnocapnos, is weakly supported by plastid DNA only, whereas in the nuclear data the two included sections form successive outgroups to the rest of the genus;(ii) among all 42 sections and five“series”, 25 sections and one “series” are resolved as monophyletic in both data sets;(iii) the common ancestor of Corydalis is likely to be a perennial plant with a taproot, yellow flowers with a short saccate spur, linear fruits with recurved fruiting pedicels, and seeds with elaiosomes;(iv) we provide a new classification of Corydalis with four subgenera(of which subg. Bipapillatae is here newly described), 39 sections, 16 of which are consistent with the previous classification, 16 sections have been recircumscribed, one section has been reinstated and six new sections are established. Characters associated with lifespan, underground structures, floral spur, fruit and elaiosomes are important for the recognition of subgenera and sections.
