| 4 | Houttuynia cordata polysaccharides alleviate ulcerative colitis by restoring intestinal homeostasis显示文摘Houttuynia cordata is traditionally used as phytoantibiotics for treating lung disease in China.Houttuynia cordata polysaccharides(HCPs)have been reported to alleviate influenza virus-induced intestinal and lung immune injury by regulating the gutlung axis. The present study aims to investigate the effects and mechanisms of HCPs on ulcerative colitis(UC).Male C57BL/6 mice were induced by dextran sodium sulfate(DSS)to establish the UC animal model. Our results showed that HCPs significantly reduced the weight loss and the shortening of colon length in colitis mice, and relieved the pathological damage of colon mucosa and inhibited the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as TNF-α,IL-1β,IL-6,etc.It was suggested that HCPs could significantly improve DSS-induced colitis in mice.HCPs directly protected intestinal epithelial cells, ameliorated epithelial barrier dysfunction and cell apoptosis, which was also proved in H2O2 stimulated cell apoptosis model.HCPs inhibited inflammation in the colon, which was related to suppressing the infiltration of macrophages, inhibiting the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines and proteins(TLR4,NF-κB),and restoring the dysfunction of Th17 and Treg cells.HCPs also restored the alteration of intestinal flora induced by DSS,increased the abundance of Firmicutes and Bacteroides, and reduced the abundance of Proteobacteria. This study confirmed the protective effect of Houttuynia cordata polysaccharide extracted from traditional Chinese medicine on ulcerative colitis,of which the mechanism was closely related to the maintenance of intestinal homeostasis(intestinal barrier, immune cells, and intestinal bacteria). | CEN Lifeng YI Tong HAO Yuanzhen SHI Chenchen SHI Xunlong LU Yan CHEN Daofeng ZHU Haiyan | 2022 | Chinese Journal of Natural Medicines2022,20,12: | 1 |

| 16 | Spectral feature characterization and nitrogen content prediction in soils with different particle sizes and moisture contents显示文摘The objective of this research is to analyze the influences of light source incidence angle, fiber height, moisture content, and particle size on loamy mixed soil spectra.Nitrogen(N)content calibration and cross-validation models at different moisture contents and particle sizes were obtained using partial least squares(PLS)analysis.Spectral data were collected using a spectrophotometer.Fiber height of 100 mm and light source angle at 45°were chosen to obtain the sharpest spectra without apparent scattering effect. The results show that moisture content and particle size strongly influenced the absorbance of the spectra, and a better N prediction model was obtained when the particle sizes were in the ranges of 0.5-1.0,1.0-2.0 and 2.0-5.0 mm,with the correlation coefficients(r)of 0.819,0.815 and 0.818,and standard errors of prediction(SEP)of 2.29,2.41 and 2.42 mg/kg,respectively.Poor N prediction model was obtained when the soil was kept in its natural moisture content with r of 0.575 and SEP of 3.275 mg/kg,compared to the performance of dried soil samples with r of 0.815 and SEP of 2.425 mg/kg. | He Yong Shao Yongni Annia García Pereira Antihus Alexander Hernández Gómez Cen Haiyan | 2008 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2008,1,1: | 0 |
| 17 | Stability evaluation of the PROSPECT model for leaf chlorophyll content retrieval显示文摘The radiative transfer model,PROSPECT,has been widely applied for retrieving leaf biochemical traits. However, little work has been conducted to evaluate the stability of the PROSPECT model with consideration of multiple factors(i.e.,spectral resolution,signal-to-noise ratio, plant growth stages, and treatments). This study aims to investigate the stability of the PROSPECT model for retrieving leaf chlorophyll(Chl)content(Cab).Leaf hemispherical reflectance and transmittance of oilseed rape were acquired at different spectral resolutions, noise levels, growth stages, and nitrogen treatments. The Chl content was also measured destructively by using a microplate spectrophotometer. The performance of the PROSPECT model was compared with a commonly used random forest(RF)model. The results showed that the prediction accuracy of PROSPECT and RF models for Cab did not produce significant differences under varied spectral resolutions ranging from 1 to 20 nm.The ranges of the relative root mean square errors(rRMSE)of the PROSPECT and RF models were 12%-13%and 11.70%-12.86%,respectively.However,the performance of both models for leaf Chl retrieval was strongly influenced by the noise level with the rRMSE of 13-15.37%and 12.04%-15.80%for PROSPECT and RF,respectively. For different growth stages, the PROSPECT model had similar prediction accuracies(rRMSE=9.26%-12.41%)to the RF model(rRMSE=9.17%-12.70%).Furthermore,the superiority of the PROSPECT model(rRMSE=10.10%-12.82%)over the RF model(rRMSE=11.81%-15.47%)was prominently observed when tested with plants growth at different nitrogen treatment levels. The results demonstrated that the PROSPECT model has a more stable performance than the RF model for all datasets in this study. | Li Zhai Liang Wan Dawei Sun Alwaseela Abdalla Yueming Zhu Xiaoran Li Yong He Haiyan Cen | 2021 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2021,14,5: | 0 |
