| 2 | The conversion factor of K_(eff) to K_(3.7) in thermoluminescence dating显示文摘In the fine-grain TL dating the full o dose must be converted into the equivalent P dose. The conversion is finished by Keff-value, which is an effective or effectiveness. But the Keff can not be measured directly for each sample and only the external radiative efficiency K3.7 can be measured. In order to obtain the Keff a special study for the conversion factor of Keff to K3.t has been made using the ultrathin TLD. | 3 | Ultrafast photonic PCR显示文摘Nucleic acid amplification and quantification via polymerase chain reaction(PCR)is one of the most sensitive and powerful tools for clinical laboratories,precision medicine,personalized medicine,agricultural science,forensic science and environmental science.Ultrafast multiplex PCR,characterized by low power consumption,compact size and simple operation,is ideal for timely diagnosis at the point-of-care(POC).Although several fast/ultrafast PCR methods have been proposed,the use of a simple and robust PCR thermal cycler remains challenging for POC testing.Here,we present an ultrafast photonic PCR method using plasmonic photothermal light-to-heat conversion via photon–electron–phonon coupling.We demonstrate an efficient photonic heat converter using a thin gold(Au)film due to its plasmon-assisted high optical absorption(approximately 65%at 450 nm,the peak wavelength of heat source light-emitting diodes(LEDs)).The plasmon-excited Au film is capable of rapidly heating the surrounding solution to over 150℃ within 3 min.Using this method,ultrafast thermal cycling(30 cycles;heating and cooling rate of 12.7960.93℃ s^(-1) and 6.660.29℃ s^(-1),respectively)from 55℃(temperature of annealing)to 95℃(temperature of denaturation)is accomplished within 5 min.Using photonic PCR thermal cycles,we demonstrate here successful nucleic acid(λ-DNA)amplification.Our simple,robust and low cost approach to ultrafast PCR using an efficient photonic-based heating procedure could be generally integrated into a variety of devices or procedures,including on-chip thermal lysis and heating for isothermal amplifications. | Jun Ho Son Byungrae Cho SoonGweon Hong Sang Hun Lee Ori Hoxha Amanda J Haack Luke P Lee | 2015 | Light(Science & Applications)2015，4，1： | 2 |
| 4 | Outcomes after arthroscopic repair of rotator cuff tears in the setting of mild to moderate glenohumeral osteoarthritis显示文摘BACKGROUND Rotator cuff pathology is a very common source of shoulder pain.Similarly,osteoarthritis of the glenohumeral joint can cause shoulder pain and produce similar symptoms.Surgical management can be indicated for both pathologies,however,outcomes data is limited when examining rotator cuff repair(RCR) in the setting of glenohumeral arthritis(GHOA).Thus,this study sought to determine outcomes for patients who undergo RCR in the setting of GHOA.AIM To evaluate if a relationship exists between outcomes of RCR in the setting of GHOA.METHODS This was a retrospective analysis of patients who underwent arthroscopic rotator cuff repair with concurrent glenohumeral osteoarthritis between 2010-2017.Patients were stratified based on rotator cuff tear size and glenohumeral osteoarthritis severity.Cohorts were paired 1:1 with patients without glenohumeral osteoarthritis.Patients included had a minimum two year follow-up.Rate of conversion to total shoulder arthroplasty,complication rates following initial surgery,and patient-reported outcome measures were collected.RESULTS A total of 142 patients were included.The number of patients that required total shoulder arthroplasty within two years after index surgery was low.2/71(2.8%) patients with GHOA,and 1/71(1.4%) without GHOA.Following rotator cuff repair,both groups showed favorable patientreported outcomes.CONCLUSION Patients with glenohumeral osteoarthritis who underwent arthroscopic rotator cuff repair showed comparable outcomes to patients without glenohumeral osteoarthritis. | Ian S Hong Allison J Rao Tyler L CarlLee Joshua D Meade Daniel J Hurwit Gregory Scarola David P Trofa Shadley C Schiffern Nady Hamid Patrick M Connor James E Fleischli Bryan Michael Saltzman | 2022 | World Journal of Orthopedics2022，13，7： | 2 |
