| 1 | An Equivalent Substitute Strategy for Constructing 3D Ordered Porous Carbon Foams and Their Electromagnetic Attenuation Mechanism显示文摘Three-dimensional(3D)ordered porous carbon is generally believed to be a promising electromagnetic wave(EMW)absorbing material.However,most research works targeted performance improvement of 3D ordered porous carbon,and the specific attenuation mechanism is still ambiguous.Therefore,in this work,a novel ultra-light egg-derived porous carbon foam(EDCF)structure has been successfully constructed by a simple carbonization combined with the silica microsphere template-etching process.Based on an equivalent substitute strategy,the influence of pore volume and specific surface area on the electromagnetic parameters and EMW absorption properties of the EDCF products was confirmed respectively by adjusting the addition content and diameter of silica microspheres.As a primary attenuation mode,the dielectric loss originates from the comprehensive effect of conduction loss and polarization loss in S-band and C band,and the value is dominated by polarization loss in X band and Ku band,which is obviously greater than that of conduction loss.Furthermore,in all samples,the largest effective absorption bandwidth of EDCF-3 is 7.12 GHz under the thickness of 2.13 mm with the filling content of approximately 5 wt%,covering the whole Ku band.Meanwhile,the EDCF-7 sample with optimized pore volume and specific surface area achieves minimum reflection loss(RL_(min))of−58.08 dB at 16.86 GHz while the thickness is 1.27 mm.The outstanding research results not only provide a novel insight into enhancement of EMW absorption properties but also clarify the dominant dissipation mechanism for the porous carbon-based absorber from the perspective of objective experiments. | Meng Zhang Hailong Ling Ting Wang Yingjing Jiang Guanying Song Wen Zhao Laibin Zhao Tingting Cheng Yuxin Xie Yuying Guo Wenxin Zhao Liying Yuan Alan Meng Zhenjiang Li | 2022 | Nano-Micro Letters2022,14,10: | 3 |

| 3 | Sulfur-deficient Co9S8/Ni3S2 nanoflakes anchored on N-doped graphene nanotubes as high-performance electrode materials for asymmetric supercapacitors显示文摘In this paper,Co9S8/Ni3S2 nanoflakes(NFs)with sulfur deficiencies were grown in-situ on N-doped graphene nanotubes(NGNTs).They were successfully prepared through electrodeposition followed by hydrogenation treatment,which is able to act as a self-supported electrode for asymmetric supercapacitors(ASCs).Combining the defect-rich active materials with highly conductive skeletons,the hybrid electrode N-GNTs@sd-Co9S8/Ni3S2NFs show ultrahigh specific capacity of^304 mA hg^-1 and prominent rate capability(capacity retention ratio of^85%even at 100 Ag^-1),and deliver a long cycling lifespan of^1.9%capacitance loss after 10000 cycles.In addition,an ASC was constructed using the as-synthesized composite electrode as the positive electrode and active carbon(AC)as the negative electrode.The fabricated device shows a high energy density of^45.1 Wh kg^-1 at^3.4 kW kg^-1 and superior cycling stability.This work substantiates a smart strategy to fabricate novel composite electrode materials for next-generation supercapacitors by incorporating riched deficiencies into nanostructures. | ZHAO Jian SONG GuanYing YUAN XiangCheng SHEN Tong JIANG QingYan MENG ALan LIN YuSheng LI ZhenJiang LI QingDang | 2020 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2020,63,4: | 2 |

| 6 | Increasing operational stability of journal bearing in hydraulic suspension micro-pump by herringbone grooved structure显示文摘The operational stability of radial journal bearings is the bottleneck that limits the reliability of hydraulic suspension micropump. Due to self-excited vibrations, the whirl amplitude of the plain journal bearing(PJB) is large at high rotational speeds,which will accelerate wear failure. It has been proven that employing herringbone grooved journal bearing(HGJB) is an effective method to reduce the whirl amplitude and improve operational stability. However, enhancing the stability of journal bearings in micro-pumps by herringbone grooved structures has rarely been studied, and its effect needs to be verified. We validated the mechanism of the stability improvement with the CFD method and compared the dynamic characteristics of HGJB and PJB by rotor dynamics evaluation and experiment. The experimental results show that under the same conditions the whirl amplitude of the HGJB decreases by 29.61% in the x direction and by 24.09% in the y direction compared with that of the PJB. | 8 | Comparative characterization of antibody responses induced by Ad5-vectored spike proteins of emerging SARS-CoV-2 VOCs显示文摘Highly divergent SARS-CoV-2 variants have continuously emerged and spread around the world,and updated vaccines and innovative vaccination strategies are urgently needed to address the global SARS-COV2 pandemic.Here,we established a series of Ad5-vectored SARS-CoV-2 variant vaccines encoding multiple spike proteins derived from the Alpha,Beta,Gamma,Epsilon,Kappa,Delta and Omicron lineages and analyzed the antibody immune responses induced by single-dose and prime-boost vaccination strategies against emerging SARS-CoV-2 variants of concern(VOCs).Single-dose vaccination with SARS-CoV-2 variant vaccines tended to elicit the optimal self-matched neutralizing effects,and Ad5-B.1.351 produced more broad-spectrum cross-neutralizing antibodies against diverse variants.In contrast,prime-boost vaccination further strengthened and broadened the neutralizing antibody responses against highly divergent SARS-CoV-2 variants.The heterologous administration of Ad5-B.1.617.2 and Ad5-B.1.429 to Ad5-WT-primed mice resulted in superior antibody responses against most VOCs.In particular,the Omicron spike could only stimulate self-matched neutralizing antibodies with infrequent cross-reactivities to other variants used in single-dose vaccination strategies;moreover,with prime-boost regimens,this vaccine elicited an optimal specific neutralizing antibody response to Omicron,and prompted cross-antibody responses against other VOCs that were very similar to those obtained with Ad5-WT booster.Overall,this study delineated the unique characteristics of antibody responses to the SARS-CoV-2 VOC spikes with the single-dose or prime-boost vaccination strategies and provided insight into the vaccine development of next SARS-CoV-2 VOCs. | Busen Wang Jinghan Xu Shipo Wu Zhe Zhang Zhenghao Zhao Jun Zhang Ling Fu Xiaodong Zai Yudong Wang Guanying Zhang ZhengShan Chen Yi Chen Hancong Sun Xiaohong Song Jinlong Zhang Lianhui Zhu Lihua Hou Wei Chen | 2022 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2022,7,8: | 0 |
| 9 | A novel hydrodynamic suspension micropump using centrifugal pressurization and the wedge effect显示文摘The micropump is the heart of microfluidics systems.However,for mechanical micropumps,bearing wear failure has been a major obstacle to performance and reliability.Hydrodynamic suspension,which can make the rotating components levitate in liquid without any mechanical friction,is applied to break this bottleneck.In this paper,a novel kind of hydrodynamic suspension micropump(HSMP) without a grooved thrust bearing is proposed.Based on the centrifugal effect,the HSMP uses a rotating rotor to accelerate and pressurize adjacent fluid,and thus reacting forces are generated on the rotor surfaces to levitate it.The mechanisms of suspension forces formation,the centrifugal effect and the wedge effect in the liquid films near the rotor are identified using theoretical analysis and simulation.The variation in suspension forces with rotor position is investigated,revealing that the suspension bearings of the HSMP,similar to a spring damper,can self-adjust suspension forces along with a change in rotor position.Moreover,the suspension stiffness is positively correlated with the rotating speed.The HSMP prototype designed herein,whose overall size is only 34 mm × 34 mm × 31 mm,can provide a maximum output performance of3230 mL/min and 96.3 kPa at 20000 r/min,which is manyfold greater than other micropumps.The proposed HSMP is demonstrated to be more powerful with a simple structure,high power density,and high reliability. | XING GuanYing XUE Song HONG Tao ZUO HuaiYu LUO XiaoBing | 2023 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2023,66,7: | 0 |
| 10 | Bone analysis using an aggregation-induced emission-active iridium complex显示文摘Fluorescent analysis of bone provides valuable insights into bone structures.However,conventional dyes suffer from low specificity on bone tissue,small stokes shift,short fluorescent lifetime,and aggregation-caused quenching effect,which result in low efficacy and artifacts.In this work,we design an aggregation-induced emission(AIE)-active iridium(III)complex(Ir-BP2)as a highly selective,convenient,nondestructiveness,and dual-mode staining agent for bone analysis.Ir-BP2 containing phosphonate groups selectively binds to hydroxyapatites,the main component of bone matrix,and exhibits turn-on AIE phosphorescence with prolonged lifetime.Ir-BP2 exhibits promising biosafety and offers higher accuracy in staining calcium deposits than conventional Alizarin Red S staining assay when it is employed in real-time monitoring of osteogenesis differentiation process.A ready-to-use staining spray of Ir-BP2 is fabricated.By using fluorescent imaging and lifetime imaging,Ir-BP2 staining provides valuable insights into bone microstructure analysis,microdamage diagnosis,and bone growth state identification.Further,Ir-BP2 is successfully applied on a human spine vertebra for diagnosing bone invasiveness of eosinophilic granuloma,validating its clinical practice.This work presents a powerful tool in bone analysis and will lead to new approaches for the diagnosis and treatment of bone-related diseases. | Xianpeng Zhang Xinling Liu Hongwen Yu Shuang Shen Junchao Zhi Zhen GaoJingqi Xin Jiaqi Song Liang Shao Caiting Meng Feifei An Taotao Huo Shichang Liu Ye Zhang Li Xu Guanying Li | 2023 | Aggregate2023,4,6: | 0 |
