2Plant phenological responses to climate change on the Tibetan Plateau: research status and challenges显示文摘Phenology studies the cycle of events in nature that are initiated and driven by an annually recurring environment. Plant phenology is expected to be one of the most sensitive and easily observable natural indicators of climate change. On the Tibetan Plateau(TP), an accelerated warming since the mid-1980 s has resulted in signiicant environmental changes. hese new conditions are accompanied by phenological changes that are characterized by considerable spatiotemporal heterogeneity. Satellite remote sensing observed widespread advance in the start of the plant growing season across the plateau during the 1980 s and 1990 s but substantial delay over 2000–2011 in the southwest although it continued to advance in the northeast regions of the TP. Both observational studies and controlled experiments have revealed, to some extent, the positive role of higher preseason temperature and even more precipitation in advancing the leaf onset and irst lowering date of the TP. However, a number of rarely visited research issues that are essential for understanding the role of phenology in ecosystem responses and feedback processes to climate change remain to be solved. Our review recommends that addressing the following questions should be a high priority. How did other phenological events change, such as lowering and fruiting phenology? What are the inluences from environmental changes other than temperature and precipitation, including human activities such as grazing? What are the genetic and physiological bases of plants phenological responses?How does phenological change inluence ecosystem structure and function at diferent scales and feedback to the climate system? 3COVERAGE PERFORMANCES ANALYSIS ON COMBINED-GEO-IGSO SATELLITE CONSTELLATION显示文摘The Combined-GEO-IGSO constellation is the combination of Geostationary Earth Orbit(GEO) satellite and Inclining GeoSynchronous Orbit(IGSO) satellite.The Combined-GEO-IGSO constellation can integrate the advantages of GEO and IGSO to achieve regional coverage.In order to discuss the performances of the Combined-GEO-IGSO constellation,the performances of coverage,elevation,diversity,and transmission are simulated in China and surrounding regions by Satellite Tool Kit(STK).The simulation results show that:the combined constellation can reach higher multi-satellite coverage and higher communication elevation in China and surrounding areas;the Doppler shift,delay,and propagation loss of this constellation have little impact on the system.As regional coverage constellation,the Combined-GEO-IGSO is feasible.Jiang Yong Yang Sen Zhang Gengxin Li Guangxia 2011Journal of Electronics(China)2011,28,2:12
4Discovery of carbonaceous compressions and their multicellular tissues from the Changzhougou Formation (1 800 Ma) in the Yanshan range, North China显示文摘In 1997 and 1998, hundreds of specimens of megascopic carbonaceous compressions or algal fossils were found from - 1800-million-year old Changzhougou Formation, which is the lowermost unit of the latest Palaeoproterozoic Changcheng Group (~1 600-1 800 Ma) in the Xinglong-Kuancheng areas at the middle Yanshan Range, North China. They are discoid, ellipsoid and sausage-like, namely shaped like Chuaria Shouhsiennia (Ellipsophyta) and Tawuia. By adopting HF acid-resistant maceration coupled with scanning electron microscope and petrologic section, the authors made a preliminary research on the histology for some circular and ellipsoid carbonaceous compressions, namely Chuaria- and Shouhsienia-llke forms, in addition to their morphology. The following three types of multicellular tissues have been found in the fragments of them: colony-like, pseudoparenchyma-like and parenchyma-like. 5A Human Body Posture Recognition Algorithm Based on BP Neural Network for Wireless Body Area Networks显示文摘Human body posture recognition has attracted considerable attention in recent years in wireless body area networks(WBAN). In order to precisely recognize human body posture,many recognition algorithms have been proposed.However, the recognition rate is relatively low. In this paper, we apply back propagation(BP) neural network as a classifier to recognizing human body posture, where signals are collected from VG350 acceleration sensor and a posture signal collection system based on WBAN is designed. Human body signal vector magnitude(SVM) and tri-axial acceleration sensor data are used to describe the human body postures. We are able to recognize 4postures: Walk, Run, Squat and Sit. Our posture recognition rate is up to 91.67%. Furthermore, we find an implied relationship between hidden layer neurons and the posture recognition rate. 6Spectrum Sensing via Temporal Convolutional Network显示文摘In this paper,we investigate a spectrumsensing system in the presence of a satellite,where the satellite works as a sensing node.Considering the conventional energy detection method is sensitive to the noise uncertainty,thus,a temporal convolutional network(TCN)based spectrum-sensing method is designed to eliminate the effect of the noise uncertainty and improve the performance of spectrum sensing,relying on the offline training and the online detection stages.Specifically,in the offline training stage,spectrum data captured by the satellite is sent to the TCN deployed on the gateway for training purpose.Moreover,in the online detection stage,the well trained TCN is utilized to perform real-time spectrum sensing,which can upgrade spectrum-sensing performance by exploiting the temporal features.Additionally,simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method achieves a higher probability of detection than that of the conventional energy detection(ED),the convolutional neural network(CNN),and deep neural network(DNN).Furthermore,the proposed method outperforms the CNN and the DNN in terms of a lower computational complexity.Tao Ni Xiaojin Ding Yunfeng Wang Jun Shen Lifeng Jiang Gengxin Zhang 2021China Communications2021,18,9:6

8Biosorption of zinc(Ⅱ) from aqueous solution by dried activated sludge显示文摘The biosorption potential of dried activated sludge as a biosorbent for zinc(Ⅱ) removal from aqueous solution was investigated.The effects of initial pH,contact time,initial zinc ion concentration,and adsorbent dosage on the biosorption processes were determined,and the equilibrium data were modeled by the Langmuir and Freundlich isotherms.The Langmuir isotherm model (R 2=0.999) was proved to fit the equilibrium data much better than the Freundlich isotherm model (R 2=0.918).The monolayer adsorption capacity of dried activated sludge for zinc(Ⅱ) was found to be 17.86 mg/g at pH of 5 and 25°C.The kinetic data were tested using pseudo firstand second-order models.The results suggested that the pseudo second-order model (R 2 > 0.999) was better for the description of the adsorption behavior of zinc(Ⅱ) onto the dried activated sludge.Fourier transform infrared spectral analysis showed that the dominant mechanism of zinc(Ⅱ) biosorption onto the dried activated sludge was the binding between amide groups and zinc ions.Chunping Yang Jiaqiang Wang Min Lei Gengxin Xie Guangming Zeng Shenglian Luo 2010Journal of Environmental Sciences2010,22,5:6
9Joint Precoding Schemes for Flexible Resource Allocation in High Throughput Satellite Systems Based on Beam Hopping显示文摘Beam hopping technology provides a foundation for the flexible allocation and efficient utilization of satellite resources,which is considered as a key technology for the next generation of high throughput satellite systems.To alleviate the contradiction between resource utilization and co-frequency interference in beam hopping technology,this paper firstly studies dynamic clustering to balance traffic between clusters and proposes cluster hopping pool optimization method to avoid inter-cluster interference.Then based on the optimization results,a novel joint beam hopping and precoding algorithm is provided to combine resource allocation and intra-cluster interference suppression,which can make efficient utilization of system resources and achieve reliable and near-optimal transmission capacity.The simulation results show that,compared with traditional methods,the proposed algorithms can dynamically adjust to balance demand traffic between clusters and meet the service requirements of each beam,also eliminate the co-channel interference to improve the performance of satellite network.Chen Zhang Xudong Zhao Gengxin Zhang 2021China Communications2021,18,9:5

11Application of Multi-agent Models to Urban Expansion in Medium and Small Cities: A Case Study in Fuyang City,Zhejiang Province,China显示文摘In this study,three-phase satellite images were used to define rules for the allocation of time and space in construction land resources based on a complex adaptive system and game theory.The decision behavior and rules of government agent,enterprise agent and resident agent in construction land growth were explored.A distinctive and dynamic simulation model of construction land growth was built,which integrated multi-agent,GIS technology and RS data and described the interaction among influencing agents.Taking Fuyang City in the Changjiang River Delta as an example,an assessment process for the remote sensing data in construction land and scenario planning was constructed.Repast and ArcGIS were used as simulation platforms.A simulation of the spatial pattern in land-use planning and the setting of scenario planning were conducted by using the incomplete active game,which was based on different natural,social and economic levels.Through this model,a simulation of urban planning space and decision-making for Fuyang City was created.Relevant non-structured problems arising from urban planning management could be identified,and the process and logic of urban planning spatial decision-making could thus be improved.Cel1-by-cel1 comparison showed that the simulation accuracy was over 72%.This model has great potential for use by government and town planners in decision support and technique support in the policy-making process.ZHANG Jing WANG Ke SONG Gengxin ZHANG Zhongchu CHEN Xinming YU Zhoulu 2013Chinese Geographical Science2013,23,6:5
12Multi-scale variability of the tropical Indian Ocean circulation system revealed by recent observations显示文摘The tropical Indian Ocean circulation system includes the equatorial and near-equatorial circulations, the marginal sea circulation, and eddies. The dynamic processes of these circulation systems show significant multi-scale variability associated with the Indian Monsoon and the Indian Ocean dipole. This paper summarizes the research progress over recent years on the tropical Indian Ocean circulation system based on the large-scale hydrological observations and numerical simulations by the South China Sea Institute of Oceanology(SCSIO), Chinese Academy of Sciences. Results show that:(1) the wind-driven Kelvin and Rossby waves and eastern boundary-reflected Rossby waves regulate the formation and evolution of the Equatorial Undercurrent and the Equatorial Intermediate Current;(2) the equatorial wind-driven dynamics are the main factor controlling the inter-annual variability of the thermocline in the eastern Indian Ocean upwelling;(3) the equatorial waves transport large amounts of energy into the Bay of Bengal in forms of coastal Kelvin and reflected free Rossby waves. Several unresolved issues within the tropical Indian Ocean are discussed:(i) the potential effects of the momentum balance and the basin resonance on the variability of the equatorial circulation system, and(ii) the potential contribution of wind-driven dynamics to the life cycle of the eastern Indian Ocean upwelling. 13Calculation of Depth to Detachment and Its Significance in the Kuqa Depression显示文摘The depth to detachment level is a critical factor affecting the quality of structural modeling in fold and thrust belts. There are several detachment levels developed in the Kuqa depression. Based on the excess-area diagram, this paper concerns mainly the calculation of the depth to detachment in the Kuqa depression. The result demonstrates that the detachment levels are situated in different strata in varying zones, such as the Paleogene Kugeliemu Formation, the Paleozoic and the crystalline basement. 15Three-dimensional properties of mesoscale cyclonic warm-core and anticyclonic cold-core eddies in the South China Sea显示文摘In general,a mesoscale cyclonic(anticyclonic)eddy has a colder(warmer)core,and it is considered as a cold(warm)eddy.However,recently research found that there are a number of'abnormal'mesoscale cyclonic(anticyclonic)eddies associated with warm(cold)cores in the South China Sea(SCS).These'abnormal'eddies pose a challenge to previous works on eddy detection,characteristic analysis,eddy-induced heat and salt transports,and even on mesoscale eddy dynamics.Based on a 9-year(2000–2008)numerical modelling data,the cyclonic warm-core eddies(CWEs)and anticyclonic cold-core eddies(ACEs)in the SCS are analyzed.This study found that the highest incidence area of the'abnormal'eddies is the northwest of Luzon Strait.In terms of the eddy snapshot counting method,8620 CWEs and 9879 ACEs are detected,accounting for 14.6%and 15.8%of the total eddy number,respectively.The size of the'abnormal'eddies is usually smaller than that of the'normal'eddies,with the radius only around 50 km.In the generation time aspect,they usually appear within the 0.1–0.3 interval in the normalized eddy lifespan.The survival time of CWEs(ACEs)occupies 16.3%(17.1%)of the total eddy lifespan.Based on two case studies,the intrusion of Kuroshio warm water is considered as a key mechanism for the generation of these'abnormal'eddies near the northeastern SCS.Wenjin Sun Yu Liu Gengxin Chen Wei Tan Xiayan Lin Yuping Guan Changming Dong 2021Acta Oceanologica Sinica2021,40,10:3
16Particle swarm optimization and its application to seismic inversion of igneous rocks显示文摘In order to improve the fine structure inversion ability of igneous rocks for the exploration of underlying strata, based on particle swarm optimization(PSO), we have developed a method for seismic wave impedance inversion. Through numerical simulation, we tested the effects of different algorithm parameters and different model parameterization methods on PSO wave impedance inversion, and analyzed the characteristics of PSO method. Under the conclusions drawn from numerical simulation, we propose the scheme of combining a cross-moving strategy based on a divided block model and high-frequency filtering technology for PSO inversion. By analyzing the inversion results of a wedge model of a pitchout coal seam and a coal coking model with igneous rock intrusion, we discuss the vertical and horizontal resolution, stability and reliability of PSO inversion. 18Four-channel CWDM device on a thin-film lithium niobate platform using an angled multimode interferometer structure显示文摘A compact and high-performance coarse wavelength-division multiplexing(CWDM) device is introduced with a footprint of 2.1 mm × 0.02 mm using an angled multimode interferometer structure based on a thin-film lithium niobate(TFLN) platform.The demonstrated device built on a 400 nm thick x-cut TFLN shows ultra-low insertion losses of <0.72 dB.Measured 3 dB bandwidths are 12.1 nm for all channels,and cross talks from adjacent channels are better than 18 dB.Its peak wavelength positions comply with the CWDM standard with a channel spacing of 20 nm.The filter bandwidth of the proposed CWDM device can be tuned by adjusting the structural parameters.This demonstrated CWDM device will promote future realization of multi-channel and multi-wavelength transmitter chips on TFLN.GENGXIN CHEN ZILIANG RUAN ZONG WANG PUCHENG HUANG CHANGJIAN GUO DAOXIN DAI KAIXUAN CHEN LIU LIU 2022Photonics Research2022,10,1:2
19BEM+Born series modeling schemes for wave propagation and their convergence analysis显示文摘This paper formulates two different boundary-element+Born series schemes for wave propagation simulation in multilayered media by incorporating a Born series and boundary integral equations.The first scheme directly decomposes the resulting boundary integral equation matrix into the self-interaction operators associated with each boundary itself and the extrapolation operators expressing cross-interactions between different boundaries in a subregion.For the second scheme,the matrix dimension is firstly reduced to a half by the elimination of the traction field in the equations.The resulting new matrix can also be split into the self-interaction matrices associated each subregion itself and the extrapolation matrices interpreting cross-interactions between different subregions in a whole model.Both the numerical schemes avoid the inversion of the relatively much larger boundary integral equation matrix of a full-waveform BE method and hence save computing time and memory greatly.The two schemes are validated by calculating synthetic seismograms for a homogeneous layered model,compared with the full-waveform BE numerical solution.Numerical experiments indicate that both the BEM+Born series modeling schemes are valid and effective.The tests also confirm that the second modeling scheme has a faster convergence in comparison with the first one.Gengxin Yu Liyun Fu Xizhu Guan 2010Earthquake Science2010,23,2:2
