| 4 | CFD Simulation of a Hydrogen/Argon Plasma Jet Reactor for Coal Pyrolysis显示文摘A Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD) model was formulated for DC arc hydrogen/argon plasma jet reactors used in the process of the thermal H2/Ar plasma pyrolysis of coal to acetylene. In this model, fluid flow, convective heat transfer and conjugate heat conductivity are considered simultaneously. The error caused by estimating the inner-wall temperature of a reactor is avoided. The thermodynamic and transport properties of the hydrogen/argon mixture plasma system, which are usually expressed by a set of discrete data, are fitted into expressions that can be easily implemented in the program. The effects of the turbulence are modeled by two standard k-εequations. The temperature field and velocity field in the plasma jet reactor were calculated by employing SIMPLEST algorithm. | 7 | A study on the effect of coating's sorption capacity on the porosity in lost foam aluminum alloy casting显示文摘Effects of coating constituent, coating density, coating layer thickness and temperature on coating sorption capacity for polystyrene decomposition products have been studied systematically. It has been found that the effect of attapulgite clay on sorption capacity is the largest among coating constituents. The sorption capacity of the coating with 2% attapulgite clay is elevated by 81%. The relationship between casting porosity and coating sorption capacity has been studied. It has been pointed out that higher coating sorption capacity for polystyrene decomposition products is helpful to decrease the casting porosity. | 8 | PREDICTION OF THERMODYNAMICS DATA OF TERNARV AND QUAfERNARY MOLTEN ALLOYS WITH NRTL EQUATION显示文摘NRTL equation is one of the equations that widely used in chemical engineering thermodynamics. The marked advantage of the NRTL equation is that it can be used for predicting the thermodynamicsproperties of multicomponent systems only with the data of binary systems. However the application of it to molten alloys and the other melts in metallungy has been mrsly reported. In this article, it was used to correlate thermodynamics data of binary molten alloys which are included in the systems-Cd-Bi-Sn, Cd-Bi-Pb, Cd-Sn-Pb.
