| 1 | Evaluation of Subgrid-scale Models in Large-eddy Simulations of Turbulent Flow in a Centrifugal Pump Impeller显示文摘The current research of large eddy simulation (LES) of turbulent flow in pumps mainly concentrates in applying conventional subgrid-scale (SGS) model to simulate turbulent flow, which aims at obtaining the flow field in pump. The selection of SGS model is usually not considered seriously, so the accuracy and efficiency of the simulation cannot be ensured. Three SGS models including Smagorinsky-Lilly model, dynamic Smagorinsky model and dynamic mixed model are comparably studied by using the commercial CFD code Fluent combined with its user define function. The simulations are performed for the turbulent flow in a centrifugal pump impeller. The simulation results indicate that the mean flows predicted by the three SGS models agree well with the experimental data obtained from the test that detailed measurements of the flow inside the rotating passages of a six-bladed shrouded centrifugal pump impeller performed using particle image velocimetry (PIV) and laser Doppler velocimetry (LDV). The comparable results show that dynamic mixed model gives the most accurate results for mean flow in the centrifugal pump impeller. The SGS stress of dynamic mixed model is decompose into the scale similar part and the eddy viscous part. The scale similar part of SGS stress plays a significant role in high curvature regions, such as the leading edge and training edge of pump blade. It is also found that the dynamic mixed model is more adaptive to compute turbulence in the pump impeller. | 2 | Spraying printing of liquid metal electronics on various clothes to compose wearable functional device显示文摘Liquid metal printing is emerging as an important tool for making wearable electronics. However, very limited academic efforts were made to fulfill such an increasing need. This paper is dedicated to present relatively complete theoretical and experimental characterizations for liquid metal spraying printing towards developing wearable electronic textile. The practical conditions of liquid metal droplets in the spraying printing process such as the jet velocity, the size distribution of droplets and their evenness degree, the morphology of droplets and their unrolling areas after impacting the substrate are quantified. The dominating factors, including the oxidation of liquid metal and the pressure force on cloth substrate during the impacting process, which ensure liquid metal firmly adhere to the cloth, are clarified. Further, various clothes are comparatively investigated to test their capabilities in printing liquid metal conductors, where the resistance difference can be over thousand-fold. In addition to interpreting the basic mechanisms and performances of the spraying printing, two programmable flexible circuits with specifically designed functions such as blinking LED lighting and wireless infrared temperature measurement via current manufacture technology were also demonstrated and evaluated for their washable ability. | 3 | Bamboo Leaf and Pollen Fossils from the Late Miocene of Eastern Zhejiang,China and their Phytogeological Significance显示文摘Fossil bamboo leaves and pollen from Upper Miocene deposits of the Shengxian Formation in Tiantai and Ninghai counties,eastern Zhejiang,China represent a rare record in Asia.The distinctive pseudopetiole and parallel venation of the leaf blades and the clearly thickened annulus of the pollen aperture place them in the subfamily Bambusoideae.Morphological analysis supports the determination of these fossil leaves as belonging to the genus Bambusium and two new species are described.Bambusium latipseudopetiolus Q.J.Wang et B.N.Sun sp.nov.has a distinctly wide pseudopetiole of 0.23 cm in width and 0.40 cm in length,several vascular bundles on parallel veins,and 5–8 lateral veins on both sides of the midrib.Bambusium longipseudopetiolus Q.J.Wang et B.N.Sun sp.nov.has a distinctly long pseudopetiole of 0.60 cm in length and 0.10 cm in width,several vascular bundles on the pseudopetiole,and 6 lateral veins on both sides of the midrib.Pollen grains from the same layer provide additional evidence of bamboos.They are characterized by 32.0–51.0 μm in diameter,a round pore 3.0–4.0 μm in diameter with a broad thickened annulus 2.5–3.5 μm around,and several conspicuous secondary folds on the exine surface.The morphological analysis leads to their assignment to Graminidites bambusoides Stuchlik.These fossils are important for the study of bamboo phytogeography in China.They demonstrate that there were bamboos growing in southeastern China during the Late Miocene and that bamboos in Zhejiang begin to diversify no later than the Late Miocene.In combination with bamboo fossils from other places,it seems that bamboos had a wide distribution across southern China during the Miocene,ranging from southwestern Yun'nan to southeastern Zhejiang. | WANG Qiujun MA Fujun YANG Yi DONG Junling WANG Haofei LI Ruiyun XU Xiaohui SUN Bainian | 2014 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2014,88,4: | 7 |
| 4 | Non-linear Torsional Vibration Characteristics of an Internal Combustion Engine Crankshaft Assembly显示文摘Crankshaft assembly failure is one of the main factors that affects the reliability and service life of engines.The linear lumped mass method,which has been universally applied to the dynamic modeling of engine crankshaft assembly,reveals obvious simulation errors.The nonlinear dynamic characteristics of a crankshaft assembly are instructionally significant to the improvement of modeling correctness.In this paper,a general expression for the non-constant inertia of a crankshaft assembly is derived based on the instantaneous kinetic energy equivalence method.The nonlinear dynamic equations of a multi-cylinder crankshaft assembly are established using the Lagrange rule considering nonlinear factors such as the non-constant inertia of reciprocating components and the structural damping of shaft segments.The natural frequency and mode shapes of a crankshaft assembly are investigated employing the eigenvector method.The forced vibration response of a diesel engine crankshaft assembly taking into account the non-constant inertia is studied using the numerical integral method.The simulation results are compared with a lumped mass model and a detailed model using the system matrix method.Results of non-linear torsional vibration analysis indicate that the additional excitation torque created by non-constant inertia activates the 2nd order rolling vibration,and the additional damping torque resulting from the non-constant inertia is the main nonlinear factor.The increased torsional angular displacement evoked by the high order excitation torque relates to the non-constant inertia.This research project is aimed at improving nonlinear dynamics theory,and the confirmed nonlinear parameters can be used for the structure design of a crankshaft assembly. | HUANG Ying YANG Shouping ZHANG Fujun ZHAO Changlu LING Qiang WANG Haiyan | 2012 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2012,25,4: | 7 |

Firstly,the collaborative control of fractional-order multi-agent systems(FOMAS) with multiple leaders is analyzed in a directed network without delays. Then, by using Laplace transform and frequency domain theorem, containment consensus of networked FOMAS with time delays is investigated in an undirected network, and a critical value of delays is obtained to ensure the containment consensus of FOMAS. | 6 | β-Ga_2O_3 thin film grown on sapphire substrate by plasmaassisted molecular beam epitaxy显示文摘Monoclinic gallium oxide(Ga_2O_3) has been grown on(0001) sapphire(Al_2O_3) substrate by plasma-assisted molecular beam epitaxy(PA-MBE). The epitaxial relationship has been confirmed to be [010]( 2ˉ01) β-Ga_2O_3||[ 011ˉ0](0001)Al_2O_3 via in-situ reflection high energy electron diffraction(RHEED) monitoring and ex-situ X-ray diffraction(XRD) measurement. Crystalline quality is improved and surface becomes flatter with increasing growth temperature, with a best full width at half maximum(FWHM) of XRD ω-rocking curve of( 2ˉ01) plane and root mean square(RMS) roughness of 0.68° and 2.04 nm for the sample grown at 730 °C,respectively. | 9 | GC-MS Analysis of Chemical Components of Volatile Oil in Different Parts of Fennel( Foenicuzu vulgare Mill. )显示文摘[Objectives] This study was conducted to analyze the composition of volatile oil in different parts of fennel(Foenicuzu vulgare Mill.) and to compare the differences in the composition of volatile oil in different parts of fennel.[Methods]The steam distillation method was applied to extract volatile oil from different parts of fennel,and the components of volatile oil from different parts of fennel were separated and identified by GC-MS.The relative content of each component was determined by the peak area normalization method.[Results]37,33,18,and 44 chemical components were separated from the volatile oil of fennel roots,stems,young leaves and fruit,respectively,accounting for 98.64%,99.34%,99.59% and 95.99% of the total volatile oil of corresponding parts.A total of 77 chemical components were identified in the four parts,of which 5 were common components.The main component of the volatile oil in the stems and young leaves was trans-anethole.The main components of the volatile oil in fruit were estragole and trans-anethole.And the main component of the volatile oil in the roots was dill apiol.The components in the volatile oil of fennel roots,stems,young leaves and fruit were different in type and content.[Conclusions]This study provides a theoretical reference for the further effective development and utilization of fennel resources. | Wei CHEN Kaibin LI Lina LONG Wen YANG Jianghai WANG Qiuyue KONG Fujun SUN | 2020 | Agricultural Biotechnology2020,9,2: | 3 |

| 11 | Highly sensitive,sub-microsecond polymer photodetectors for blood oxygen saturation testing显示文摘Bottom surface of active layers and interface of indium tin oxide(ITO)electrodes and active layers play a crucial role in determining the performance of polymer photodetectors with photomultiplication(PM-PPDs).The interfacial trapped electron distribution closing to ITO electrodes will determine spectral response range and external quantum efficiency(EQE)of PMPPDs.The bottom interface is more sensitive than top interface when light is coming from the ITO side,and the larger density of generated charge on the bottom interfaces will induce interfacial band more bending for efficient charge tunneling injection.Highly sensitive and sub-microsecond PM-PPDs are achieved with PMBBDT:Y6(100:7,w/w)as active layers under forward bias,yielding EQE of 18,700%at 320 nm,21,700%at 600 nm and 16,400%at 810 nm under a bias of 7 V,respectively,as well as fast response time of 79μs.The high EQE of the PM-PPDs is attributed to efficient hole tunneling injection from ITO electrode under forward bias.The electron traps closing to ITO electrode will be quickly filled up when light is coming from ITO side,leading to interfacial band more bending for hole tunneling injection.Importantly,the PM-PPDs is performed to measure heart rate(HR)and blood oxygen saturation(SpO_(2)),and the measured data by the PM-PPDs are very similar with those obtained by commercial photodetectors. | Zijin Zhao Baiqiao Liu Changlin Xie Yao Ma Jian Wang Ming Liu Kaixuan Yang Yunhua Xu Jian Zhang Weiwei Li Liang Shen Fujun Zhang | 2021 | Science China Chemistry2021,64,8: | 2 |
| 12 | Buxus Leaves from the Oligocene of Guangxi, China and Their Biogeographical Significance显示文摘The present paper reports two new species of Buxus from the Oligocene Ningming Formation of Guangxi, South China, on the basis of several compressed fossil leaves.Buxus ningmingensis sp.nov.is characterized by an elliptic to ovate shape; pinnate venation with marginal secondary, long hairs on the adaxial side of the midvein base; and amphistomatic, anomocytic stomata with a prominent outer ring.All of these characteristics suggest a closest affinity to the living Buxus microphylla subsp.sinica.Another new species identified as Buxus preaustro-yunnanensis sp.nov.is characterized by the diagnostic formation of its admedially branched tertiaries, the trunks of which are often strongly thickened by sclereides.This species is most similar to the extant Buxus austroyunnanensis.The co-occurrence of Buxus ningmingensis sp.nov.and Buxus preaustro-yunnanensis sp.nov.suggests that these two Buxus lived during the Oligocene under a warm, tropical to subtropical climate, similar to the current climate of Ningming.Our findings provide the earliest fossil evidence of Buxus leaves with detailed illustrations of leaf architectural and cuticular features.The occurrence of these two species indicates that Buxus began to diversify in Guangxi no later than the Oligocene. | MA Fujun WANG Qiujun DONG Junling YANG Yi WANG Wenjia YAN Defei SUN Bainian | 2015 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2015,89,5: | 2 |
| 13 | Mitochondrial fission factor promotes cisplatin resistance in hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is the most common primary liver tumor and one of the leading causes of cancer-related death worldwide.Chemotherapeutic agents/regimens such as cisplatin(DDP)are frequently used for advanced HCC treatment.However,drug resistance remains a major hindrance and the underline mechanisms are not fully understood.In this study,we investigated the expression pattern and function of mitochondrial fission factor(Mff)in cisplatin-resistant HCC.We found that Mff is highly expressed in cisplatin-resistant HCC tissues and cell lines.Knockdown of Mff suppresses cell proliferation and promotes cell apoptosis of HCC/DDP cells.In addition,knockdown of Mff sensitizes Huh-7/DDP cells to cisplatin treatment,inhibits cell proliferation,migration and invasion,and enhances cell apoptosis.Confocal imaging showed that knockdown of Mff inhibits the mitochondrial fission and downregulates the expression of GTPase dynamin-related protein 1(Drp1)in cisplatin-resistant Huh-7/DDP cells.Moreover,xenograft tumor model revealed that knockdown of Mff sensitizes Huh-7/DDP xenograft tumor to cisplatin treatment in vivo.In summary,our findings suggest that Mff regulates mitochondrial Drp1 expression and promotes cisplatin resistance in HCC,which provides a potential therapeutic target for the treatment of cisplatin-resistant HCC. | Xiaoliang Li Quanlin Wu Fujun Ma Xinxin Zhang Lei Cai Xuekang Yang | 2022 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2022,54,3: | 1 |

| 19 | Sub-nanometer ultrathin epitaxy of AlGaN and its application in efficient doping显示文摘Solving the doping asymmetry issue in wide gap semiconductors is a key dificulty and long-standing challenge for device applications.Here,a desorption-tailoring strategy is proposed to juggle the carrier concentration and transport.Specific to the p-doping issue in Al-rich AlGaN,self-assembled p-AlGaN superlattices with an average Al composition of over 50%are prepared by adopting this approach.The hole concentration as high as 8.1×10^(18)cm^(-3)is thus realized at room temperature,which is attributed to the signifcant reduction of effective Mg activation energy to 17.5 meV through modulating the activating path,as well as the highlighted Mg surface-incorporation by an intentional interruption for desorption.More importantly,benefting from the constant ultrathin barrier thickness of only three monolayers via this approach,vertical miniband transport of holes is verifed in the p-AlGaN superlattices,greatly satisfying the demand of hole injection in device application.280 nm deep-ultraviolet light emitting diodes are then fabricated as a demo with the desorption-tailored Al-rich p-AlGaN superlattices,which exhibit a great improvement of the carrier injection efficiency and light extraction efficiency,thus leading to a 55.7%increase of the light output power.This study provides a solution for p-type doping of Al-rich AlGaN,and also sheds light on solving the doping asymmetry issue in general for wide-gap semiconductors. | Jiaming Wang Mingxing Wang Fujun Xu Baiyin Liu Jing Lang Na Zhang Xiangning Kang Zhixin Qin Xuelin Yang Xinqiang Wang Weikun Ge Bo Shen | 2022 | Light(Science & Applications)2022,11,4: | 1 |
| 20 | Cuticular anatomy of Comia(Pteridospermae) from the Upper Permian of Yumen in Gansu Province, Northwestern China, and palaeoatmospheric CO_2 reconstruction显示文摘Comia macrofossils have been widely known from rocks of the Late Permian age in the Angaran and Cathaysian Palaeobiogeographic regions. However, the epidermal structure of the genus has not been reported. The new material with wellpreserved cuticles obtained from the Late Permian Sunan Formation in the west of Gansu Province, Northwestern China allows a new species to be attributed to this genus, namely Comia dashankouensis Dong C et Sun BN sp. nov. The cuticular features of the genus are described, including the general structures of lower and upper cuticles, stomata, and papillae. The stomatal density(SD) and stomatal index(SI) of fossil cuticles are routinely used today as a proxy in the reconstruction of palaeoatmospheric CO2 levels for the Cenezoic, Mesozoic, and Paleozoic eras. In particular, the cuticles of cycads, ginkgoes, conifers, and pteridosperms have frequently been used for this purpose.
