1Expert consensus on dental caries management显示文摘Dental Caries is a kind of chronic oral disease that greatly threaten human being’s health.Though dentists and researchers struggled for decades to combat this oral disease,the incidence and prevalence of dental caries remain quite high.Therefore,improving the disease management is a key issue for the whole population and life cycle management of dental caries.So clinical difficulty assessment system of caries prevention and management is established based on dental caries diagnosis and classification.Dentists should perform oral examination and establish dental records at each visit.When treatment plan is made on the base of caries risk assessment and carious lesion activity,we need to work out patient-centered and personalized treatment planning to regain oral microecological balance,to control caries progression and to restore the structure and function of the carious teeth.And the follow-up visits are made based on personalized caries management.This expert consensus mainly discusses caries risk assessment,caries treatment difficulty assessment and dental caries treatment plan,which are the most important parts of caries management in the whole life cycle.Lei Cheng Lu Zhang Lin Yue Junqi Ling Mingwen Fan Deqin Yang Zhengwei Huang Yumei Niu Jianguo Liu Jin Zhao Yanhong Li Bin Guo Zhi Chen Xuedong Zhou 2022International Journal of Oral Science2022,14,2:8
2Optical properties and chemical composition of PM_(2.5) in Shanghai in the spring of 2012显示文摘The semi-diurnal mean aerosol mass concentration, chemical composition, and optical properties of PM2.5were investigated in Shanghai during the spring of 2012. Slight pollution was observed during the study period. The average PM2.5 concentration was 64.11 土 22.83(xg/m3. The mean coefficients of extinction,scattering, and absorption at 532 nm were 125.9 士 78.5,91.1 士 56.3,and 34.9 士 23.6 Mm-1, respectively. A relatively low mean single scattering albedo at 532 nm(0.73 士 0.04) and low level of elemental carbon(EC,2.67 士 1.96 |xg/m3) suggested that the light absorption was enhanced due to the internal mixing of the EC.Sulfate contributed the most to aerosol light scattering in Shanghai. The chemical composition of PM2.5was dominated by particulate organic matter, sulfate, nitrate, ammonium, and EC. Anthropogenic sources made a significant contribution to the emission and loading of the particulate pollutants. 3A distinct D1-MSN subpopulation down-regulates dopamine to promote negative emotional state显示文摘Dopamine(DA)level in the nucleus accumbens(NAc)is critical for reward and aversion encoding.DA released from the ventral mesencephalon(VM)DAergic neurons increases the excitability of VM-projecting D1-dopamine receptor-expressing medium spiny neurons(D1-MSNs)in the NAc to enhance DA release and augment rewards.However,how such a DA positive feedback loop is regulated to maintain DA homeostasis and reward-aversion balance remains elusive.Here we report that the ventral pallidum(VP)projection of NAc D1-MSNs(D1^(NAc-VP))is inhibited by rewarding stimuli and activated by aversive stimuli.In contrast to the VM projection of D1-MSN(D1^(NAc-VM)),activation of D1^(NAc-VP) projection induces aversion,but not reward.D1^(NAc-VP) MSNs are distinct from the D1^(NAc-VM) MSNs,which exhibit conventional functions of D1-MSNs.Activation of D1^(NAc-VP) projection stimulates VM GABAergic transmission,inhibits VM DAergic neurons,and reduces DA release into the NAc.Thus,D1^(NAc-VP) and D1^(NAc-VM) MSNs cooperatively control NAc dopamine balance and reward-aversion states.Zhiyuan Liu Qiumin Le Yanbo Lv Xi Chen Jian Cui Yiming Zhou Deqin Cheng Chaonan Ma Xiujuan Su Lei Xiao Ruyi Yang Jiayi Zhang Lan Ma Xing Liu 2022Cell Research2022,32,2:2

6Preoperative serum cortisone levels are associated with cognition in preschool‑aged children with tetralogy of Fallot after corrective surgery:new evidence from human populations and mice显示文摘Background Tetralogy of Fallot(TOF)is the most common cyanotic congenital heart disease.Children with TOF would be confronted with neurological impairment across their lifetime.Our study aimed to identify the risk factors for cerebral morphology changes and cognition in postoperative preschool-aged children with TOF.Methods We used mass spectrometry(MS)technology to assess the levels of serum metabolites,Wechsler preschool and primary scale of intelligence-Fourth edition(WPPSI-Ⅳ)index scores to evaluate neurodevelopmental levels and multimodal magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)to detect cortical morphological changes.Results Multiple linear regression showed that preoperative levels of serum cortisone were positively correlated with the gyrification index of the left inferior parietal gyrus in children with TOF and negatively related to their lower visual spaces index and nonverbal index.Meanwhile,preoperative SpO_(2) was negatively correlated with levels of serum cortisone after adjusting for all covariates.Furthermore,after intervening levels of cortisone in chronic hypoxic model mice,total brain volumes were reduced at both postnatal(P)11.5 and P30 days.Conclusions Our results suggest that preoperative serum cortisone levels could be used as a biomarker of neurodevelopmental impairment in children with TOF.Our study findings emphasized that preoperative levels of cortisone could influence cerebral development and cognition abilities in children with TOF.Si-Yu Ma Yu-Ting Liu Yue-Shuang Cun Qiang Wang Ming-Cui Fu Ke-De Wu Xin-Yu Cai Shu-Ting Cheng·Nishant Patel Min Da Liang Hu Zhuoga Deqin Xue-Jun Kang Ming Yang Xu-Ming Mo 2024World Journal of Pediatrics2024,20,2:0
7Expert consensus on difficulty assessment of endodontic therapy显示文摘Endodontic diseases are a kind of chronic infectious oral disease. Common endodontic treatment concepts are based on the removal of inflamed or necrotic pulp tissue and the replacement by gutta-percha. However, it is very essential for endodontic treatment to debride the root canal system and prevent the root canal system from bacterial reinfection after root canal therapy(RCT). Recent research, encompassing bacterial etiology and advanced imaging techniques, contributes to our understanding of the root canal system’s anatomy intricacies and the technique sensitivity of RCT. Success in RCT hinges on factors like patients, infection severity, root canal anatomy, and treatment techniques. Therefore, improving disease management is a key issue to combat endodontic diseases and cure periapical lesions. The clinical difficulty assessment system of RCT is established based on patient conditions, tooth conditions, root canal configuration, and root canal needing retreatment, and emphasizes pre-treatment risk assessment for optimal outcomes. The findings suggest that the presence of risk factors may correlate with the challenge of achieving the high standard required for RCT.
