3Effect of music therapy derived from the five elements in Traditional Chinese Medicine on post-stroke depression显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of five phase music therapy in patients with depression after ischemic stroke.METHODS: A total of 92 patients with post-stroke depression were randomly divided into the control group(32 cases), treatment group A(30 cases), and treatment group B(30 cases). All groups were given basic therapies for cerebral infarction. In addition,the control group was administerd 50 mg of oral sertraline hydrochloride daily, while treatment groups A and B received needling at Baihui(GV 20)plus acupoint injection at Yanglingquan(GB 34) daily; treatment group B also received music therapy derived from the five phases in Traditional ChineseMedicine theory twice daily. All treatments were administered for 5 d per treatment cycle for three cycles, with a 1 d interval between cycles. In all three groups, Hamilton's depression scale(HAMD-17)score and the activities of daily life(ADL) score were measured before and after treatment, and side effects were assessed with the treatment emergent symptom scale.RESULTS: The HAMD-17 score significantly decreased after treatment in all three groups, and the post-treatment reduction in HAMD-17 score was markedly greater in treatment group B than in treatment group A(P < 0.01). The ADL score significantly increased after treatment in all three groups,and the post-treatment increase in ADL score was significantly greater in treatment group B than in treatment group A(P < 0.01). 4Indocyanine Green Nanoparticles for Theranostic Applications显示文摘Theranostics is a concept that integrated imaging and therapy. As an emerging field, it embraces multiple techniques to arrive at an individualized treatment purpose. Indocyanine green(ICG) is a near infrared dye that has been approved by Food and Drug Administration(FDA) in USA for the use in indicator-dilution studies in humans. ICG nanoparticles(NPs) have attracted much attention for its potential applications in cancer theranostics. This review focuses on the preparation, application of ICG NPs for in vivo imaging(fluorescent imaging and photoacoustic imaging) and therapeutics(photothermal therapy, photodynamic therapy and photoacoustic therapy), and future directions based on recent developments in these areas. 5Modeling and Analysis of A Rotary Direct Drive Servovalve显示文摘Direct drive servovalves are mostly restricted to low flow rate and low bandwidth applications due to the considerable flow forces.Current studies mainly focus on enhancing the driving force,which in turn is limited to the development of the magnetic material.Aiming at reducing the flow forces,a novel rotary direct drive servovalve(RDDV)is introduced in this paper.This RDDV servovalve is designed in a rotating structure and its axially symmetric spool rotates within a certain angle range in the valve chamber.The servovalve orifices are formed by the matching between the square wave shaped land on the spool and the rectangular ports on the sleeve.In order to study the RDDV servovalve performance,flow rate model and mechanical model are established,wherein flow rates and flow induced torques at different spool rotation angles or spool radiuses are obtained.The model analysis shows that the driving torque can be alleviated due to the proposed valve structure.Computational fluid dynamics(CFD)analysis using ANSYS/FLUENT is applied to evaluate and validate the theoretical analysis.In addition,experiments on the flow rate and the mechanical characteristic of the RDDV servovalve are carried out.Both simulation and experimental results conform to the results of the theoretical model analysis,which proves that this novel and innovative structure for direct drive servovalves can reduce the flow force on the spool and improve valve frequency response characteristics.This research proposes a novel rotary direct drive servovalve,which can reduce the flow forces effectively.YU Jue ZHUANG Jian YU Dehong 2014Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2014,27,5:11
6Calibration of a γ-Re_θ transition model and its validation in low-speed flows with high-order numerical method显示文摘Based on the Reynolds-averaged Navier–Stokes(RANS)equations and structured grid technology,the calibration and validation of γ-Re_θ transition model is preformed with fifth-order weighted compact nonlinear scheme(WCNS),and the purpose of the present work is to improve the numerical accuracy for aerodynamic characteristics simulation of low-speed flow with transition model on the basis of high-order numerical method study.Firstly,the empirical correlation functions involved in the γ-Re_θ transition model are modified and calibrated with experimental data of turbulent flat plates.Then,the grid convergence is studied on NLR-7301 two-element airfoil with the modified empirical correlation.At last,the modified empirical correlation is validated with NLR-7301 two-element airfoil and high-lift trapezoidal wing from transition location,velocity profile in boundary layer,surface pressure coefficient and aerodynamic characteristics.The numerical results illustrate that the numerical accuracy of transition length and skin friction behind transition location are improved with modified empirical correlation function,and obviously increases the numerical accuracy of aerodynamic characteristics prediction for typical transport configurations in low-speed range.Wang Yuntao Zhang Yulun Li Song Meng Dehong 2015Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2015,28,3:9
7Averaged NmF2 of cusp-latitude ionosphere in northern hemisphere for solar minimum—Comparison between modeling and ESR during IPY显示文摘Based on the ionosphere observation data obtained by EISCAT Svalbard Radar (ESR) in solar minimum year-2007, we analyzed diurnal variations of F2-peak electron density (NmF2) in four seasons under disturbed and quiet geomagnetic conditions. It indicated that the soft precipitation electron had an evident effect on the NmF2 increase at magnetic noon in spring, summer and autumn and the electron precipitation effects were prominent in winter. The comparison between the IRI-2007 model and the observation exhibited that the IRI (International Reference Ionosphere) model had a better NmF2 prediction when the photoionization was dominant during the polar day, but worse when the electron precipitation was dominant during the polar night. We showed that the electrons in lower energy band decreased when the geomagnetic disturbance went greater, which resulted in the lower NmF2. 8Development of mouse preimplantation embryos in space显示文摘The development o f life beyond planet Earth is a long-standing quest of the human race,but whether normal mammalian embryonic development can occur in space is still unclear.Here,we show unequivocally that preimplantation mouse embryos can develop in space;but the rate of blastocyst formation and blastocyst quality are compromised.Additionally,the cells in the embryo contain severe DNA damage,while the genome of the blastocysts developed in space is globally hypomethylated with a unique set of differentially methylated regions.The developmental defects,DNA damage and epigenetic abnormalities can be largely mimicked by the treatment with ground-based low-dose radiation.However,the exposure to simulated microgravity alone does not cause major disruptions of embryonic development,indicating that radiation is the main cause for the developmental defects.This work advances the understanding of embryonic development in space and reveals long-term extreme low-dose radiation as a hazardous factor for mammalian reproduction.Xiaohua Lei Yujing Cao Baohua Ma Yunfang Zhang Lina Ning Jingjing Qian Liwen Zhang Yongcun Qu Tao Zhang Dehong Li Qi Chen Junchao Shi Xudong Zhang Chiyuan Ma Ying Zhang Enkui Duan 2020National Science Review2020,7,9:8
9Effect of aluminum silicate fiber modification on crack-resistance of a ceramic mould显示文摘To improve the crack-resistance of the mould for silica sol bonded quartz based ceramic mould casting,aluminum silicate fibers with the diameter ranging from 5 μm to 25 μm and the length about 1 mm were dispersed in the ceramic mould.The effect of the aluminum silicate fibers on the tensile strength,shrinkage rate and the cracking trend of the ceramic mould were investigated.In the ceramic slurry,quartz sand was applied as ceramic aggregate,silica sol containing 30% silicon dioxide as bonder,and the weight ratio of quartz sand to silica sol was 2.69;the dispersed fibers changed from 0 to 0.24vol.%.The mould samples were formed after the slurry was poured and gelled at room temperature,and then sintered at different temperatures ranging from 100 to 800 ℃ to measure the tensile strength and shrinkage rate.The results show that,with the aluminum silicate fiber addition increasing from 0 to 0.24vol.%,the tensile strength increases linearly from 0.175 MPa to 0.236 MPa,and the shrinkage rate decreases linearly from 1.75% to 1.68% for the ceramic mould sintered at 400 ℃,from 1.37% to 1.31% for the ceramic mould at room temperature.As the sintering temperature was raised from 100 ℃ to 800 ℃,the tensile strength increases,and the shrinkage rate decreases at all temperatures,compared with those without fiber dispersion,but their variation patterns remain the same.Furthermore,the cracking trend of the mould and its decreasing proportion were defined and analyzed quantitatively considering both effects of the fiber dispersion on the strength and shrinkage.The cracking trend appears to decrease linearly with increasing fiber content and to reach the maximum reduction of 28.8% when 0.24vol.% fiber was dispersed.Therefore,the investigation proposes a new method to improve the crack-resistance of the ceramic mould,i.e.,inorganic fiber dispersion into the ceramic mould.Lu Dehong Wang Zhao Jiang Yehua Zhou Rong 2012China Foundry2012,9,4:6
10Study of the Reconstruction of Fractal Structure of Closed-cell Aluminum Foam and its Thermal Conductivity显示文摘Based on the characteristics of the internal structure of closed-cell aluminum foam, this paper attempts to illus- trate the process of reconstructing the internal structures of closed-cell aluminum foam in Monte-Carlo method and the fractal characteristics of the reconstructed model. Furthermore, Binary Array Method is proposed by analyzing the reconstructed model and the thermal conductivity model of closed-cell aluminum foam is established. 11Recent progress in Chinese polar upper-atmospheric physics research: review of research advances supported by the Chinese Arctic and Antarctic expeditions显示文摘It has been more than 30 years since the first Chinese Antarctic Expedition took place. Polar upper atmospheric observations started at this time. First began at Great Wall Station and then at Zhongshan Station in Antarctica, and later in the Arctic at Yellow River Station, Kjell Henriksen Observatory on Svalbard, and at the China-Iceland Joint Aurora Observatory in Iceland. In this paper, we reviewed the advances in polar upper atmosphere physics(UAP) based on the Chinese national Arctic and Antarctic research over the last five years. These included newly deployed observatories and research instruments in the Arctic and Antarctic; and new research findings, from ground-based observations, about polar ionosphere dynamics, aurora and particle precipitation, polar plasma convection, geomagnetic pulsations and space plasma waves, space weather in the polar regions, simulations of the polar ionosphere-magnetosphere. 12Investigation on tool wear and tool life prediction in micro-milling of Ti-6Al-4V显示文摘Short tool life and rapid tool wear in micromachining of hard-to-machine materials remain a barrier to the process being economically viable. In this study, standard procedures and conditions set by the ISO for tool life testing in milling were used to analyze the wear of tungsten carbide micro-end-milling tools through slot milling conducted on titanium alloy Ti-6 Al-4 V. Tool wear was characterized by flank wear rate,cutting-edge radius change, and tool volumetric change. The effect of machining parameters, such as cutting speed and feedrate, on tool wear was investigated with reference to surface roughness and geometric accuracy of the finished workpiece. Experimental data indicate different modes of tool wear throughout machining, where nonuniform flank wear and abrasive wear are the dominant wear modes. High cutting speed and low feedrate can reduce the tool wear rate and improve the tool life during micromachining.However, the low feedrate enhances the plowing effect on the cutting zone, resulting in reduced surface quality and leading to burr formation and premature tool failure. 13A two-scale contact model for collisions between blocks in CDEM显示文摘Contact detection between interacting blocks is of great importance to discontinuity-based numerical methods, such as DDA, DEM, and NMM. A rigorous contact theory is a prerequisite to describing the interactions of multiple blocks. Currently, the penalty method, in which mathematical springs with high stiffness values are employed, is always used to calculate the contact forces. High stiffness values may cause numerical oscillations and limit the time step. Furthermore, their values are difficult to identify. The intention of this study is to present a two-scale contact model for the calculation of forces between colliding blocks. In this new model, a calculation step taken from the moment of contact will be divided into two time stages: the free motion time stage and the contact time stage. Actually, these two time stages correspond to two real physical processes. Based on this, we present a new numerical model that is intended to be more precise and useful in calculating the contact forces without mathematical springs. The propagation of the elastic wave during collision is of a characteristic length, which determines the volume of material involved in the contact force calculation. In conventional contact models, this range is always regarded as the length of one element, which may lead to an inaccurate calculation of contact forces. 16Modelling of the In uence of Tool Runout on Surface Generation in Micro Milling显示文摘Micro milling is a flexible and economical method to fabricate micro components with three-dimensional geometry features over a wide range of engineering materials. But the surface roughness and micro topography always limit the performance of the machined micro components. This paper presents a surface generation simulation in micro end milling considering both axial and radial tool runout. Firstly, a surface generation model is established based on the geometry of micro milling cutter. Secondly, the influence of the runout in axial and radial directions on the surface generation are investigated and the surface roughness prediction is realized. It is found that the axial runout has a significant influence on the surface topography generation. Furthermore, the influence of axial runout on the surface micro topography was studied quantitatively, and a critical axial runout is given for variable feed per tooth to generate specific surface topography. Finally, the proposed model is validated by means of experiments and a good correlation is obtained. 18Atypical clinical and pathological findings in a patient with isolated cortical vein thrombosis显示文摘Isolated cortical vein thrombosis often produces a focal lesion. Because of the rapid development of collateral circulation, increased intracranial pressure has never been reported in a patient with isolated cortical vein thrombosis. The diagnosis of isolated cortical vein thrombosis is based mainly on MRI, catheter digital subtraction angiography, and histological findings, but may be challenging. We report a patient who presented with intermittent seizures and left-sided limb weakness. Her symptoms gradually progressed, and she eventually developed signs of increased intracranial pressure. Imaging studies showed a space-occupying lesion in the right frontal lobe of the brain. As we could not diagnose isolated cortical vein thrombosis based on the preoperative findings, surgical excision of the lesion was performed under general anesthesia. Histological examination showed destruction of the brain parenchyma with infiltration of macrophages, proliferation of reactive astrocytes and small vessels, and foci of hemorrhage. Further examination found that a number of small vessels in both the subarachnoid space and brain parenchyma were filled with thrombus, some of which was organized. Elastic fiber staining showed that the obstructed vessels were veins.
