1Phylogeny,molecular evolution,and dating of divergences in Lagerstroemia using plastome sequences显示文摘Lagerstroemia L.(Lythraceae)is a widely distributed genus of trees and shrubs native to tropical and subtropical environments from Southeast Asia to Australia,with numerous species highly valued as ornamentals.Although the plastomes of many species in this genus have been sequenced,the rates of functional gene evolution and their effect on phylogenetic analyses have not been thoroughly examined.We compared three plastome sequence matrices to elucidate how differences in these datasets affected phylogenetic analyses.Robust phylogenetic relationships for Lagerstroemia species were reconstructed based on different plastome sequence partitions and multiple phylogenetic methods.Identification of single-nucleotide variants within different genes also provides basic data on the patterns of functional gene evolution in Lagerstroemia and may provide insights into how those mutations affect protein structure and potentially drive divergence via cytonuclear incompatibility.These results as well as analyses of non-synonymous and synonymous mutations,indicate that heterotachic modes of evolution are present in functional plastome genes and should be accounted for in the analyses of molecular evolution.In addition,divergence events within the Lagerstroemia were dated for the first time.Several of the divergence estimates corresponded to well-known Earth history events,such as the reduction in global temperatures at the Eocene/Oligocene boundary.Our analyses conducted in Lagerstroemia here dissects the various patterns in the divergence of Lagerstroemia and may provide a useful guide to help plant breeders,as well as the necessity of using plastomic data and as possible as to combine evidence from morphological characteristics to investigate the complicated interspecies relationship and the evolutionary dynamics of species.Jie Wang Wenchuang He Xuezhu Liao Jin Ma Wei Gao Haoqi Wang Dili Wu Luke R.Tembrock Zhiqiang Wu Cuihua Gu 2023Horticultural Plant Journal2023,9,2:1
2Field emission study of CNTs on metal tips显示文摘The field emission characteristics of multiwalled carbon nanotubes grown on metal tips are studied at various temperatures. It is found that emission current at a given applied electric field increased with the temperature, and the stability of the current did not change. The dependence upon temperature varies quite differently with the metal substrates. 3Chemical composition of oscillatory zoned garnets from the largescale Mengya'a Pb–Zn skarn deposit: implications for fluid physicochemical conditions and formation显示文摘The Mengya’a Lead–zinc deposit is a large skarn deposit in the north of the eastern segment of Gangdese metallogenic belt.The garnet is the main altered mineral in the Mengya’a area.The color of the garnet varies from chartreuse to dark yellow brown and to russet.The brown garnet(Grt1)is related to pyrrhotite and chalcopyrite,and the green garnet(Grt2)is associated with lead–zinc mineralization.LA-ICP-MS is the induced coupled plasma mass spectrometry.This paper has used this technique to investigate Grt1 and Grt2.Grt1 develops core–rim textures with strong oscillation zone occurring in rim,whereas Grt2lacks core–rim textures and featured by oscillation zone.LA–ICP–MS analysis shows that garnets of Mengya’a are rich in CaO(29.90–37.52%)and FeO(21.17–33.35%),but low in Al_(2)O_(3)(0.05–4.85%).The calculated end members belong to grandite(grossular–andradite)garnets andradite.The negative Al(IV)versus Fe^(3+),positive Al(IV)versus total Al stoichiometric number,the positive Al(IV)versus Fe^(3+),and the negative Al(IV)versus total REE,all indicate that the substitution of REEs in garnets is controlled by YAG.All Garnets are depleted in large lithophile elements(e.g.,Rb=0.00–4.01 ppm,Sr=0.03–8.56 ppm).The total REE in Grt1 core is high(ΣREE=233–625 ppm),with HREE enriched pattern(LREE/HREE=0.33–1.69)and weak negative Eu anomalies(δEu=0.21–0.47).In contrast,the total REEs in the Grt1 rim and Grt2 are low(ΣREE=12.4–354 ppm;ΣREE=21.0–65.3 ppm),with LREE enriched pattern(LREE/HREE=0.54–34.4;LREE/HREE=11.4–682)and positive Eu anomalies(δEu=0.35–27.2;δEu=1.02–30.7).After data compilation of garnet chemicals,we found that the early fluid responsible for the core of Grt1 was a relatively closed and chloride-depleted fluid system.It was close-to-neutral,with a low water–rock ratio.The core of garnet was formed by fluid diffusion in metasomatic processes.The fluid was changed into a relatively open system with reduced,chloride-rich,and weakacid fluid.It was fluid infiltration and metasomatism that resulted in the formation of Grt1 rim and Grt2.Yan Zhang Cuihua Chen Yulong Yang Xuhao Kang Ying Gu Xiang Lai Xiaojie Chen 2022Acta Geochimica2022,41,3:0
4The Asian lotus (Nelumbo nucifera) pan-plastome: diversity and divergence in a living fossil grown for seed, rhizome, and aesthetics显示文摘The Asian lotus(Nelumbo nucifera)has a history of cultivation in Asia dating back over 3,000 years where it has been an important food crop producing edible rhizomes and seeds as well as flowers of great aesthetic and cultural value.Here,we de novo assembled the plastomes of 316 lotus accessions including five North American lotus(N.lutea)and 311 Asian lotus(N.nucifera)to construct a pan-plastome genome map,and investigate the phylogeography and genetic diversity among the only two extant species within this living fossil lineage.A total of 113 unique genes were annotated and plastome sizes varied between 163,457 and 163,672 bp with only minor differences in each of the four major genomic units.The most abundant nucleotide differences among plastomes were single nucleotide variants followed by insertions/deletions and block substitutions mainly found in intergenic spacer regions of the large single copy portion of the plastome.Seven well-supported genetic clusters were resolved using multiple different population structure analyses.The different lotus types(flower,seed,rhizome,or wild)were disproportionally assigned to multiple different genetic clusters.This pattern indicates that the domestication of Asian lotus involved multiple genetic origins and possible matrilineal introgression.Geographic mapping of accessions also revealed that genetic diversity is unevenly distributed with eastern China possessing the highest genetic diversity and regions such as Yunnan,Indonesian,and Thailand possessing unique haplotypes.These results provide an important maternal history of Nelumbo and necessary groundwork for future studies on intergenomic gene transfer,cytonuclear incompatibility,and conservation genetics.Jie Wang Xuezhu Liao Cuihua Gu Kunli Xiang Jie Wang Sen Li Luke R.Tembrock Zhiqiang Wu Wenchuang He 2022Ornamental Plant Research2022,2,1:0
5Observation on Flower Bud Differentiation of Crape Myrtle in Red Soil Environment显示文摘Flower bud differentiation is a key component of plant blooming biology and understanding how it works is vital for flowering regulation and plant genetic breeding,increasing the number and quality of flowering.Red soil is the most widely covered soil type in the world,and it is also the most suitable soil type for crape myrtle planting.The flower buds of crape myrtle(Lagerstroemia indica)planted in red soil were employed as experimental materials in this study,and the distinct periods of differentiation were identified using stereomicroscopy and paraffin sectioning.We optimized the steps of dehydration,transparency,embedding,sectioning and staining when employing paraffin sections.When seen under a microscope,this optimization can make the cell structure of paraffin sections obvious,the tissue structure complete,and the staining clear and natural.The flower bud differentiation process is divided into 7 periods based on anatomical observations of the external morphology and internal structure during flower bud differentiation:undifferentiated period,start of differentiation period,inflorescence differentiation period,calyx differentiation period,petal differentiation period,stamen differentiation period,and pistil differentiation period.The differentiation time is concentrated from the end of May to mid-June.Crape myrtle flower bud differentiation is a complicated process,and the specific regulatory mechanism and affecting elements need to be investigated further.Linxue Shang Dandan Ma Sidan Hong Yu Zhao Guozhe Zhang Qingqing Ma Qun Wang Cuihua Gu 2022Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany2022,91,12:0

7Geological characteristics and the origin of ore-forming materials of(Laozhaiwan gold deposit, Yunnan Province显示文摘'Golden triangle'area bordered on Yunnan-Guizhou-Guangxi was one of the most important Carlin-type gold deposits concentration areas.Deep understanding of Carlin-type gold deposits in Guizhou and Guangxi Province had reached through several decades studies,but geological environment was very complex in the southeastern Yunnan,and Carlin-type gold deposits produced in the southeastern Yunnan were different from that of America,few studies were taken there.Based on a large number of field work,studies on the geological characteristics combining with geochemistry characteristics were taken,and analysis the genesis of Laozhaiwan gold deposit.The types of alteration in Laozhaiwan gold deposit were mainly silicification and pyritization,and Gold grade was high when silicification and pyritization were both occurred.It could be caculated that fluid density(g/cm3)varied from 0.7 to 4.9,salinity varied from 0.76%to 0.95%and ore-forming pressure(Pa)varied from 1.81×105 to 49.96×105 according to fluid inclusion test results,showed that Laozhaiwan gold deposit was hypabyssal hydrothermal deposit in low temperature and low salinity.According to composition of fluid inclusion analysis,combining with H-O isotope,made theδD-δ18O figure,showed that the fluid of the deposit rooted in formation water and mixed with meteoric waters later.ZHAO DeKun CHEN CuiHua ZHANG Yan GU XueXiang TU ZongLin DAI HongZhang 2014矿床地质2014,33,S1:0
