1Rupture segmentation and slip partitioning of the mid-eastern part of the Kunlun Fault,north Tibetan Plateau显示文摘The Kunlun Fault,an active fault on the border between the Bayan Har and Kunlun-Qaidam blocks,is one of the major left lateral strike-slip faults in the Tibetan Plateau.Previous research has not reached a consensus on agreeable slip rates along much of its length and the slip rate gradient along the eastern part,both of which play critical roles in a range of models for the eastward extrusion and thickened crust of the Tibetan Plateau.New slip rates have been determined at sites along the eastern part of the Kunlun Fault by dating deposits and measuring atop displaced fluvial terrace risers.Field investigations and interpretation of satellite images reveal geometrical features of the fault and the late Quaternary offset,new earthquake ruptures and surface-rupturing segmentation,from which long-term slip rates and earthquake recurrence intervals on the fault are estimated.The tectonic geomorphology method has determined that the long-term horizontal slip rates on the Tuosuohu,Maqin and Maqu segments from west to east are 11.2±1,9.3±2,and 4.9±1.3 mm/a while their vertical slip rates are 1.2±0.2,0.7±0.1,and 0.3 mm/a in the late Quaternary.Results indicate that the slip rates regularly decrease along the eastern ~300 km of the fault from >10 to <5 mm/a.This is consistent with the decrease in the gradient such that at the slip rate break point is at the triple point intersection with the transverse fault,which in turn is transformed to the Awancang Fault.The vector decomposition for this tectonic transformation shows that the western and eastern branches of the Awancang Fault fit the slip-partitioning mode.The slip rate of the southwestern wall is 4.6 mm/a relative to the northeastern wall and the slip direction is 112.1°.The mid-eastern part of the Kunlun Fault can be divided into three independent segments by the A'nyêmaqên double restraining bend and the Xigongzhou intersection zone,which compose the surface rupture segmentation indicators for themselves as well as the ending point of the 1937 M7.5 Tuosuohu earthquake.The average recurrence interval of the characteristic earthquakes are estimated to be 500-1000 a,respectively.The latest earthquake ruptures occurred in AD 1937 on the western Tuosuohu segment,as compared to ~514-534 a BP on the Maqin segment,and ~1055 to 1524 a BP on the Maqu segment.This may indicate a unidirectional migration for surface rupturing earthquakes along the mid-eastern Kunlun Fault related to stress triggered between these segments.Meanwhile,the long-term slip rate is obtained through the single event offset and the recurrence interval,which turn out to be the same results as those determined by the offset tectonic geomorphology method,i.e.,the decreasing gradient corresponds to the geometrical bending and the fault's intersection with the transverse fault.Therefore,the falling slip rate gradient of the mid-eastern Kunlun Fault is mainly caused by eastward extension of the fault and its intersection with the transverse fault.LI ChenXia XU XiWei WEN XueZe ZHENG RongZhang CHEN GuiHua YANG Hu AN YanFen GAO Xiang 2011Science China Earth Sciences2011,54,11:33

4Co-Co304@carbon core-shells derived from metal-organic framework nanocrystals as efficient hydrogenevolution catalysts显示文摘Controllable pyrolysis of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) in confined spacesis a promising strategy for the design and development of advanced functionalmaterials. In this study, Co-C0304@carbon composites were synthesized viapyrolysis of a Co-MOFs@glucose polymer (Co-MOFs@GP) followed by partialoxidation of Co nanoparticles (NPs). The pyrolysis of Co-MOFs@GP generated acore-shell structure composed of carbon shells and Co NPs. The controlled partialoxidation of Co NPs formed Co-Co304 heterojunctions confined in carbon shells.Compared with Co-MOFs@GP and Co@carbon-n (Co@C-n), Co-C0304@carbon-n(Co-Co304@C-n) exhibited higher catalytic activity during NaBH4 hydrolysis.Co-C0304@C-II provided a maximum specific H2 generation rate of5,360 mL.min-l.gco-1 at room temperature due to synergistic interactionsbetween Co and C0304 NPs. 6Adsorption desulfurization of model gasoline by metal–organic framework Ni3(BTC)2显示文摘This work presented the synthesis of Ni-based metal-organic framework material with a paddle-wheel structure Ni3(BTC)2 (Ni-BTC) and its application in thiophene (TP) adsorption from gasoline distillate by batch method. Adsorption isotherms of TP, cyclohexene, and toluene in cyclohexane onto Ni-BTC were conducted at 298-308 K to interpret the different effect of cyclohexene and toluene on TP adsorption. The results showed that, compared w让h cyclohexene, toluene addition in model gasoline led to a more evident decline in sulfur capacity of Ni-BTC, which is opposite to isostructural HKUST-1. The adsorption isotherms of TP, cyclohexene and toluene fit Langmuir model, S-type model and Temkin model well, respectively, indicating that the adsorption mechanisms of TP and the two competitors are different from one another The adsorption capacities on Ni-BTC followed the order of cyclohexene < toluene < TP at the same equilibrium concentrations, implying the order of the adsorption affinities, which is in good agreement with the different extent of influence by the two competitors. The enthalpy of TP adsorption on Ni-BTC was estimated to be -80.01 kj/mol, almost twice that on HKUST-1. The poor reusability of Ni-BTC in batch experiment, which is owing to its sensitivity to the air, can be prevented from regenerating used Ni-BTC in fixed-bed reactor by N2 flow. 7Development and validation of a UPLC–MS/MS assay for the determination of gemcitabine and its L-carnitine ester derivative in rat plasma and its application in oral pharmacokinetics显示文摘A simple and rapid UPLC–MS/MS method to simultaneously determine gemcitabine and its L-carnitine ester derivative(2’-deoxy-2’, 2’-difluoro-N-((4-amino-4-oxobutanoyl) oxy)-4-(trimethyl amm-onio) butanoate-cytidine, JDR) in rat plasma was developed and validated.The conventional plasma sample preparation method of nucleoside analogues is solidphase extraction(SPE) which is time-consuming and cost-expensive. In this study, gradient elution with small particles size solid phase was applied to effectively separate gemcitabine and JDR, and protein precipitation pretreatment was adopted to remove plasma protein and extract the analytes with high recovery(>81%). Method validation was performed as per the FDA guidelines, and the standard curves were found to be linear in the range of 5–4000 ng/ml for JDR and 4–4000 ng/ml for gemcitabine, respectively. The lower limit of quantitation(LLOQ)of gemcitabine and JDR was 4 and 5 ng/ml, respectively. The intra-day and inter-day precision and accuracy results were within the acceptable limits. 18Carrier-envelope phase locking of 5 fs amplified Ti:sapphire laser pulse at 1 kHz repetition rate显示文摘This paper reports the carrier-envelop phase (CEP) locking for the 5 fs re-compressed laser pulse generated from a chirped pulse amplified (CPA) Ti:sapphire laser at 1 kHz repetition rate. A phase locking feedback system with two loops was designed to control the fast fluctuation arising from the seeding laser and the slow fluctuation arising from the sub-mJ amplified pulse. The principle and structure of the phase control system, including the CEP detection, servo loop design and phase locking result, are analyzed.
