Near-Real-Time Carbon Emission Accounting Technology Toward Carbon Neutrality显示文摘Climate change is the greatest environmental threat to humans and the planet in the 21st century.Global anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions are one of the main causes of the increasing number of extreme climate events.Cumulative carbon dioxide(CO_(2))emissions showed a linear relationship with cumulative temperature rise since the pre-industrial stage, and this accounts for approximately 80%of the total anthropogenic greenhouse gases. Therefore, accurate and reliable carbon emission data are the foundation and scientific basis for most emission reduction policymaking and target setting.Currently,China has made clear the ambitious goal of achieving the peak of carbon emissions by 2030 and achieving carbon neutrality by 2060.The development of a finer-grained spatiotemporal carbon emission database is urgently needed to achieve more accurate carbon emission monitoring for continuous implementation and the iterative improvement of emission reduction policies.Near-real-time carbon emission monitoring is not only a major national demand but also a scientific question at the frontier of this discipline. This article reviews existing annual-based carbon accounting methods, with a focus on the newly developed real-time carbon emission technology and its current application trends. We also present a framework for the latest near-real-time carbon emission accounting technology that can be widely used. The development of relevant data and methods will provide strong database support to the policymaking for China’s“carbon neutrality”strategy. Finally, this article provides an outlook on the future of real-time carbon emission monitoring technology.Zhu Liu Taochun Sun Ying Yu Piyu Ke Zhu Deng Chenxi Lu Da Huo Xiang Ding 2022Engineering2022,8,7:5
High-efficiency extraction synthesis for high-purity copper nanowires and their applications in flexible transparent electrodes显示文摘Copper nanowires(Cu NWs)are considered an excellent alternative to indium tin oxide(ITO)in flexible transparency electrodes(FTEs).However, the mixed particles and surface oxidation of Cu NWs degrade the transmittance and conductivity of the electrodes. Therefore, highly purified Cu NWs without oxidation are vital for high-performance FTEs.Herein,a facile and effective purification process is introduced to purify Cu NWs in a water and n-hexane system, which takes advantage of the differences in hydrophilicity between Cu NWs and Cu NPs caused by their different adsorption affinities to octadecylamine(ODA).At the same sheet resistance, the transmittance of the purified Cu NW-based FTEs improved approximately 2%compared to that of non-purified Cu NW-based FTEs.Immersion of the electrode in glacial acetic acid removed the surface organics and oxides. After only 40 s of treatment, the sheet resistance dramatically decreased from 10^5 Ohm/sq to 31 Ohm/sq with a transmittance of 85%.In addition, the Cu NW-based FTE conductors showed excellent flexibility(remaining stable after 1000 bending cycles). The Cu NW-based FTEs were further applied to fabricate a flexible transparent heater. At a voltage of 10 V,the temperature of the heater reached 73℃,demonstrating the potential applications of this material in various fields. He Zhang Shang Wang Yanhong Tian Jiayue Wen Chunjin Hang Zhen Zheng Yilong Huang Su Ding Chenxi Wang 2020Nano Materials Science2020,2,2:4
Acoustic properties of closed-cell aluminum foams with different macrostructures显示文摘As structural materials, closed-cell aluminum foams possess obvious advantages in product dimension, strength and process economics compared with open cell aluminum foams. However, as a kind of structure-function integration materials, the application of closed-cell aluminum foams has been restricted greatly in acoustic fields due to the difficulty of sound wave penetration. It was reported that closed-cell foams with macrostructures have important effect on the propagation of sound waves. To date, the relationship between macrostructures and acoustic properties of commercially pure closedcell aluminum foams is ambiguous. In this work, different perforation and air gap types were designed for changing the macrostructures of the foam. Meanwhile, the effect of macrostructures on the sound absorption coefficient and sound reduction index were investigated. The results showed that the foams with half-hole exhibited excellent sound absorption and sound insulation behaviors in high frequency range(>2500 Hz). In addition, specimens with air gaps showed good sound absorption properties in low frequency compared with the foams without air gaps. Based on the experiment results, propagation structural models of sound waves in commercially pure closed-cell aluminum foams with different macrostructures were built and the influence of macrostructures on acoustic properties was discussed.Xingchuan Xia Zan Zhang Weimin Zhao Chong Li Jian Ding Chenxi Liu Yongchang Liu 2017Journal of Materials Science & Technology2017,33,11:3
Side chain engineering investigation of non-fullerene acceptors for photovoltaic device with efficiency over 15%显示文摘Side chain engineering plays a substantial role for high-performance organic solar cells (OSCs).Herein,a series of non-fullerene acceptor (NFA) molecules with A-D-A structures,TTCn-4F,with gradient substituent lengths of terminal side chains (T-SCs) on the molecular backbones have been designed and synthesized. The effects of T-SCs length, ranging from hydrogen atom to n-dodecyl,their optoelectronic properties, thin film molecular packing, blend film morphology, and overall photovoltaic performance have been systematically studied. The results show that among this series of molecules,TTC8-4F with n-octyl substituent, showed the best photovoltaic performance when applied with PM6 as the donor due to its favorable morphology, balanced charge mobility, effective exciton dissociation and less charge recombination.Based on this, its ternary device with F-Br as the secondary acceptor achieved a high PCE of 15.34%with the simultaneously enhanced Voc of 0.938 V,Jscof 22.66 mA cm^-2,and FF of 72.15%.These results indicate that the engineering of T-SCs is an effective strategy for designing high-performance NFAs.Xin Zhang Yunqian Ding Huanran Feng Huanhuan Gao Xin Ke Hongtao Zhang Chenxi Li Xiangjian Wan Yongsheng Chen 2020Science China Chemistry2020,63,12:2
Ultra-small platinum nanoparticles segregated by nickle sites for efficient ORR and HER processes显示文摘In the electrochemical process,Pt nanoparticles(NPs)in Pt-based catalysts usually agglomerate due to Oswald ripening or lack of restraint, ultimately resulting in reduction of the active sites and catalytic efficiency. How to uniformly disperse and firmly fix Pt NPs on carbon matrix with suitable particle size for catalysis is still a big challenge.Herein,to prevent the agglomeration and shedding of Pt NPs,Ni species is introduced and are evenly dispersed in the surface of carbon matrix in the form of Ni-N-C active sites(Ni ZIF-NC).The Ni sites can be used to anchor Pt NPs,and then effectively limit the further growth and agglomeration of Pt NPs during the reaction process.Compared with commercial Pt/C catalyst,Pt@Ni ZIF-NC,with ultralow Pt loading(7 wt%)and ideal particle size(2.3 nm),not only increases the active center, but also promotes the catalysis kinetics, greatly improving the ORR and HER catalytic activity.Under acidic conditions, its half-wave potential(0.902 V)is superior to commercial Pt/C(0.861 V),and the mass activity(0.38 A per mg Pt)at 0.9 V is 4.7 times that of Pt/C(0.08 A per mg Pt).Besides,it also shows outstanding HER performance. At 20 and 30 mV,its mass activity is even 2 and 6 times that of Pt/C,respectively.Whether it is under ORR or HER conditions,it still shows excellent durability. These undoubtedly indicate the realization of dual-functional catalysts with low-Pt and high-efficiency properties.Lvhan Liang Huihui jin Huang Zhou Bingshuai Liu Chenxi Hu Ding Chen Jiawei Zhu Zhe Wang Hai-Wen Li Suli Liu Daping He Shichun Mu 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,2:2
Research progress of the fundamental theory and technology of rock blasting显示文摘Investigating rock fragmentation mechanisms under blasting and developing new blasting technologies are important and challenging directions for blast engineering.Recently, with the development of experimental techniques, the fundamental theory of rock blasting has been extensively studied in the past few decades and has made important achievements in the full understanding of the rock fracturing process under blast loading. It is thus imperative to systematically review the progress in this direction. This paper mainly focuses on the experimental study of rock blasting, including the distribution characteristic of blast energy, evolution of the blast stress field, propagation mechanism of cracks, interaction mechanism between blast waves and cracks, and influence of geostatic stress on rock fragmentation. In addition, some newly developed blasting technologies and their applications are briefly presented. This review could provide comprehensive insights to guide the study on the rock fracturing mechanism under blasting and further provide meaningful guidance for optimizing blast parameters in engineering.Peng Xu Renshu Yang Jinjing Zuo Chenxi Ding Cheng Chen Yang Guo Shizheng Fang Yufei Zhang 2022International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2022,29,4:1

Effects of the initiation position on the damage and fracture characteristics of linear-charge blasting in rock显示文摘To study the effects of the initiation position on the damage and fracture characteristics of linear-charge blasting, blasting model experiments were conducted in this study using computed tomography scanning and three-dimensional reconstruction methods. The fractal damage theory was used to quantify the crack distribution and damage degree of sandstone specimens after blasting. The results showed that regardless of an inverse or top initiation, due to compression deformation and sliding frictional resistance, the plugging medium of the borehole is effective. The energy of the explosive gas near the top of the borehole is consumed. This affects the effective crushing of rocks near the top of the borehole, where the extent of damage to Sections Ⅰ and Ⅱ is less than that of Sections Ⅲ and Ⅳ. In addition, the analysis revealed that under conditions of top initiation, the reflected tensile damage of the rock at the free face of the top of the borehole and the compression deformation of the plug and friction consume more blasting energy, resulting in lower blasting energy efficiency for top initiation. As a result, the overall damage degree of the specimens in the top-initiation group was significantly smaller than that in the inverse-initiation group. Under conditions of inverse initiation, the blasting energy efficiency is greater, causing the specimen to experience greater damage. Therefore, in the engineering practice of rock tunnel cut blasting, to utilize blasting energy effectively and enhance the effects of rock fragmentation, using the inverse-initiation method is recommended. In addition, in three-dimensional(3D) rock blasting, the bottom of the borehole has obvious end effects under the conditions of inverse initiation, and the crack distribution at the bottom of the borehole is trumpet-shaped. The occurrence of an end effect in the 3D linear-charge blasting model experiment is related to the initiation position and the blocking condition.Chenxi Ding Renshu Yang Xiao Guo Zhe Sui Chenglong Xiao Liyun Yang 2024International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2024,31,3:0
Accelerating net-zero carbon emissions by electrochemical reduction of carbon dioxide显示文摘Electroreduction of CO_(2)shows great potential for global CO_(2)utilization and uptake when collaborated with renewable electricity.Recent advances have been achieved in fundamental understanding and electrocatalyst development for CO_(2)electroreduction.We think this research area has progressed to the stage where significant efforts can focus on translating the obtained knowledge to the development of largescale electrolyzers, which have the potential to accelerate the transition of the current energy system into a sustainable and zero-carbon emission energy structure. In this perspective paper,we first critically evaluate the advancement of vapor-feed devices that use CO_(2)as reactants, from the point of view of industry applications. Then,by carefully comparing their performance to the state-of-the-art water electrolyzers which are well-established technology providing realistic performance targets,we looped back and discussed the remaining challenges including electrode catalysts, reaction conditions, mass transporting, membrane, device durability, operation mode, and so on.Finally,we provide perspectives on the challenges and suggest opportunities for generating fundamental knowledge and achieving technological progress toward the development of practical CO_(2)electrolyzers for the goal of building lowcarbon or/and net carbon-free economies.Fan He Sirui Tong Zhouyang Luo Haoran Ding Ziye Cheng Chenxi Li Zhifu Qi 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,4:0
Mature typhoon “cloud gyro” model and numerical simulation study显示文摘Due to the coarse temporal resolution of the best track databases for typhoons, some small-scale characteristics of typhoon motion have been neglected. In order to reveal the fine features of typhoon motion, the dense cloud within the radius of maximum wind(RMW)of mature typhoons, defined as a“cloud gyro”that simultaneously spins around its own rotational axis and precesses around the vertical axis,is approximated to a rigid body.Based on the principles of gyrodynamics, the derived mathematical model of a typhoon track indicates that typhoon movement is composed of translational motion governed by the steering flow and superimposed precessional motion that manifests as the inherent characteristics of typhoon tracks, especially with the external torque.High temporal resolution numerical simulation of a real case verifies the conclusion of this study, which is that the smaller the RMW,the larger the tangential wind speed or the larger the external torque, and the more obviously precessional motion manifests.Xiaogang HUANG Xiangcheng LI Xiaoping CHENG Chenxi ZHANG Juli DING 2020Science China Earth Sciences2020,63,5:0
