1Toward Intelligent Machine Tool显示文摘With the development of modern information technology-and particularly of the new generation of artificial intelligence(AI)technology-new opportunities are available for the development of the intelligent machine tool(IMT).Based on the three classical paradigms of intelligent manufacturing as defined by the Chinese Academy of Engineering,the concept,characteristics,and systemic structure of the IMT are presented in this paper.Three stages of machine tool evolution-from the manually operated machine tool(MOMT)to the IMT-are discussed,including the numerical control machine tool(NCMT),the smart machine tool(SMT),and the IMT.Furthermore,the four intelligent control principles of the IMT-namely,autonomous sensing and connection,autonomous learning and modeling,autonomous optimization and decision-making,and autonomous control and execution-are presented in detail.This paper then points out that the essential characteristic of the IMT is to acquire and accumulate knowledge through learning,and presents original key enabling technologies,including the instruction-domain-based analytical approach,theoretical and big-data-based hybrid modeling technology,and the double-code control method.Based on this research,an intelligent numerical control(INC)system and industrial prototypes of IMTs are developed.Three intelligent practices are conducted,demonstrating that the integration of the new generation of AI technology with advanced manufacturing technology is a feasible and convenient way to advance machine tools toward the IMT.Jihong Chen Pengcheng Hu Huicheng Zhou Jianzhong Yang Jiejun Xie Yakun Jiang Zhiqiang Gao Chenglei Zhang 2019Engineering2019,5,4:12
2Strength Prediction of Aluminum–Stainless Steel-Pulsed TIG Welding–Brazing Joints with RSM and ANN显示文摘Pulsed TIG welding–brazing process was applied to join aluminum with stainless steel dissimilar metals. Major parameters that affect the joint property significantly were identified as pulsed peak current, base current, pulse on time,and frequency by pre-experiments. A sample was established according to central composite design. Based on the sample,response surface methodology(RSM) and artificial neural networks(ANN) were employed to predict the tensile strength of the joints separately. With RSM, a significant and rational mathematical model was established to predict the joint strength.With ANN, a modified back-propagation algorithm consisting of one input layer with four neurons, one hidden layer with eight neurons, and one output layer with one neuron was trained for predicting the strength. 4Poisson disk sampling through disk packing显示文摘Poisson disk sampling is an important problem in computer graphics and has a wide variety of applications in imaging, geometry, rendering, etc. In this paper, we propose a novel Poisson disk sampling algorithm based on disk packing. The key idea uses the observation that a relatively dense disk packing layout naturally satisfies the Poisson disk distribution property that each point is no closer to the others than a specified minimum distance, i.e., the Poisson disk radius. We use this property to propose a relaxation algorithm that achieves a good balance between the random and uniform properties needed for Poisson disk distributions. Our algorithm is easily adapted to image stippling by extending identical disk packing to unequal disks. 5Total conductivity,oxygen permeability and stability of perovskite-type oxide BaCo_(0.7)Fe_(0.2)Nb_(0.1)O_(3-δ)显示文摘The total conductivity,oxygen sorption property,oxygen permeability and stability of pure perovskite-type oxide BaCo0.7Fe0.2Nb0.1O3-δ (BCFNO) in real operating conditions were investigated. Its total conductivity was measured to be 3.6 S·cm-1 at 600°C. Though the total conductivity of the BCFNO membrane is much smaller than that of the Ba0.5Sr0.5Co0.8Fe0.2O3-δ (BSCFO) membrane,the oxygen permeability of the BCFNO membrane is similar to that of the BSCFO membrane. SEM observation and EDX analysis of the BCFNO and BSCFO membranes indicated that no segregation of metal ions was found for the used BCFNO membrane while the original perovskite phase of BSCFO decomposed under the experimental condition. 6Expressive line drawings of human faces from range images显示文摘We propose a novel technique to extract features from a range image and use them to produce a 3D pen-and-ink style portrait similar to a traditional artistic drawing. Unlike most previous template-based,component-based or example-based face sketching methods,which work from a frontal photograph as input,our system uses a range image as input. Our method runs in real-time for models of moderate complexity,allowing the pose and drawing style to be modified interactively. Portrait drawing in our system makes use of occluding contours and suggestive contours as the most important shape cues. However,current 3D feature line detection methods require a smooth mesh and cannot be reliably applied directly to noisy range images. We thus present an improved silhouette line detection algorithm. Feature edges related to the significant parts of a face are extracted from the range image,connected,and smoothed,allowing us to construct chains of line paths which can then be rendered as desired. We also incorporate various portrait-drawing principles to provide several simple yet effective non-photorealistic portrait renderers such as a pen-and-ink shader,a hatch shader and a sketch shader. These are able to generate various life-like impressions in different styles from a user-chosen viewpoint. To obtain satisfactory results,we refine rendered output by smoothing changes in line thickness and opacity. We are careful to provide appropriate visual cues to enhance the viewer’s comprehension of the human face. 11Virtual fire drill system supporting co-located collaboration显示文摘Background Due to the restriction of display mode,in most of the virtual reality systems with multiple people in the same physical space,the program renders the scene based on the position and perspective of the one user,so that other users just see the same scene,resulting in vision disorder.Methods To improve experience of multi-user co-located collaboration,in this study,we propose a fire drill system supporting co-located collaboration,in which three co-located users can collaborate to complete the virtual firefighting mission.Firstly,with multi-view stereoscopic projective display technology and ultra wideband(UWB)technology,co-located users can roam independently and watch virtual scenes through the correct perspective view based on their own position by wearing dedicated shutter glasses,thus carrying out different virtual tasks,which improves the flexibility of co-located collaboration.Secondly,we design simulated firefighting water-gun using the micro-electromechanical system sensor,through which users can interact with virtual environment,and thus provide a better interactive experience.Finally,we develop a workbench including a holographic display module and multi touch operation module for virtual scene assembly and virtual environment control.Results The controller can use the workbench to adjust the virtual layout in real time,and control the virtual task process to increase the flexibility and playability of system.Conclusions Our work can be employed in a wide range of related virtual reality applications.Yuan WEI Dongdong GUAN Qiuchen WANG Xiangxian LI Yulong BIAN Pu QIN Yanning XU Chenglei YANG 2019Virtual Reality & Intelligent Hardware2019,1,3:1

13Numerical Simulation of the Stress and Distortion of the Fiberglass-Reinforced Plastics Crust-Stainless Steel Liner Compound Conduit显示文摘A new type of compound conduit is designed and the finite element method (FEM) is applied to analyze the mechanicalperformance of a typical compound conduit. The results of the numerical simulation confirm that the distributionsof the strain, stress and the flexure distortion of the conduit are reasonable under the working conditions, and thestress and strain are continuous at the interface of the crust and the pipe liner. The conduit can endure 7.4 timesof the working load before break, which fits well with that of the experiment and means that the conduit has goodability to bear overload. 14NEW INSIGHTS INTO THE PHYLOGENY AND SPECIATION OF KUMQUAT (FORTUNELLA SPP.) 15Airborne transmission of virus-laden droplets in an aircraft cabin显示文摘This study investigates the airborne transmission of virus-laden droplets generated by a cough of patients in an aircraft cabin to reveal the infection risk of taking an airplane.The influence of the ventilation system on the flow feld of the cabin was analysed to reveal its effects on the airbore transmission ofvirus-laden droplets.Meanwhile.human body heat was also considered in the simulations.The results show that hot plume due to human body hent has a significant impact on the upward movement of virus-laden droplets.The virus-laden droplets expelled by a cough can be transmitted to the region two to three rows away from the generator.Particularly,the transverse motion present in the early stage of the droplet transmission results in a high infection risk to the passengers in the same row as the patient.This work gives insight into the understanding of the airborne transmission of virus-laden droplets in the entire passenger cabin.Yu Li Xuhui Wang Jie Yang Zemiao Zhang Chenglei Wang Bosen Qian Xudong Tian Tiantian Wang 2023Transportation Safety and Environment2023,5,4:0
16Development of the high-strength ductile ferritic alloys via regulating the intragranular and grain boundary precipitation of G-phase显示文摘A typical G-phase strengthened ferritic model alloy(1Ti:Fe-20Cr-3Ni-1Ti-3Si,wt.%)has been carefully studied using both advanced experimental(EBSD,TEM and APT)and theoretical(DFT)techniques.During the classic“solid solution and aging”process,the superfine(Fe,Ni)_(2)TiSi-L2_(1)particles densely precipitate within the ferritic grain and subsequently transform into the(Ni,Fe)_(16)Ti_(6)Si_(7)-G phase.In the meanwhile,the elemental segregation at grain boundaries and the resulting precipitation of a large amount of the(Ni,Fe)_(16)Ti_(6)Si_(7)-G phase are also observed.These nanoscale microstructural evolutions result in a remarkable increase in hardness(100-300 HV)and severe embrittlement.When the“cold rolling and aging”process is used,the brittle fracture is effectively suppressed without loss of nano-precipitation strengthening ef-fect.Superhigh yield strength of 1700 MPa with 4%elongation at break is achieved.This key improvement in mechanical properties is mainly attributed to the pre-cold rolling process which effectively avoids the dense precipitation of the G-phase at the grain boundary.These findings could shed light on the further exploration of the precipitation site via optimal processing strategies.Mujin Yang Chao Huang Jiajia Han Haichen Wu Yilu Zhao Tao Yang Shenbao Jin Chenglei Wang Zhou Li Ruiying Shu Cuiping Wang Huanming Lu Gang Sha Xingjun Liu 2023Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,5:0
17Optimization of filler metal during superalloy-stainless steel arc brazing显示文摘According to the specification of superalloy-stainless steel arc brazing and characteristic of the base metal,a best filler metal which has relative lower melting point,nice wettability,good weld forming,and adequate shear strength was researched.The experiment results show that wettability of CuFeMn on the stainless steel is very poor,concomitant with a mass of purple soot during the welding which deteriorates the working condition.CuSiMn has the best wettability on both the superalloy and stainless steel,but there remains a lot of pit and slag on the surface of the weld bead.Copper-based solder has the highest melting point and its wettability and clearance fillability are weaker than CuSi3.Wettability and clearance fillability of the CuSi3 are the best in all the candidate filler metals,and its weld is smoothness and has higher shear strength.For its comprehensive ability,CuSi3 is selected as the final filler metal.FAN Chenglei,LIN Sanbao,YANG Chunli,and SONG Jianling State Kay Laboratory of Advanced Welding Production Technology,Harbin Institute of Technology,Harbin 150001,China 2007Rare Metals2007,26,S1:0
