1Accurate relocation of earthquakes in central-western China using the double-difference earthquake location algorithm显示文摘The double-difference earthquake relocation algorithm (DD algorithm) has been applied to the accurate relocation of 10057 earthquakes in the central-western China (21°-36°N, 98°-112E°) during the period of 1992-1999. In total, 79706 readings for P waves and 72169 readings for S waves were used in the relocation, and the source parameters of 6496 events were obtained. The relocation results revealed a more complete picture of the hypocentral distribution in the central-western China. In several seismic belts the relocated epicenters present a more defined lineation feature, reflecting the close correlation between the seismicity and the active tectonic structures. The relocated focal depths confirmed that most earthquakes (91 percent of the 6496 relocated events) in the central-western China were located at shallower depths not deeper than 20 km. 2Endometrial membrane organoids from human embryonic stem cell combined with the 3D Matrigel for endometrium regeneration in asherman syndrome显示文摘Asherman’s syndrome(AS),a leading cause of uterine infertility worldwide,is characterized by scarring of the uterine surfaces lacking endometrial epithelial cells,which prevents endometrial regeneration.Current research on cell therapy for AS focuses on mesenchymal and adult stem cells from the endometrium.However,insufficient number,lack of purity,and rapid senescence of endometrial epithelial progenitor cells(EEPCs)during experimental processes restrict their use in cell therapies.In this study,we induced human embryonic stem cells-9(H9-ESC)into EEPCs by optimizing the induction factors from the definitive endoderm.EEPCs,which act as endometrial epithelial cells,accompanied by human endometrial stromal cells provide a niche environment for the development of endometrial membrane organoids(EMOs)in an in vitro 3D culture model.To investigate the function of EMOs,we transplanted tissue-engineered constructs with EMOs into an in vivo rat AS model.The implantation of EMOs into the damaged endometrium facilitates endometrial regeneration and angiogenesis.Implanting EMOs developed from human embryonic stem cells into the endometrium might prove useful for“endometrial re-engineering”in the treatment of Asherman’s syndrome.Xiuxiu Jiang Xingmiao Li Xiangwei Fei Jiajie Shen Jianhua Chen Meijun Guo Yangyang Li 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,11:11
3Effects of three kinds of head acupuncture therapies on regulation of brain microenvironment and rehabilitation of nerve function in rats with cerebral palsy显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To compare and observe the effects of three kinds of cephalic acupuncture therapies commonly used in the clinic on promoting nerve function rehabilitation in the brain microenvironment of rats with cerebral palsy.METHODS:A negative control group,positive control group,and three cephalic acupuncture groups based on the administration of three cephalic acupuncture therapies were established.Ten experimental rats were selected from each group at 1,2,and 3 weeks after modeling.Neuromotor function after treatment was rated according to the Basso,Beattie,and Bresnahan method.White matter fiber bundles were evaluated by head diffusion tensor imaging.The expression levels of neuron-specific enolase,microtubule-associated protein 2,and myelin basic protein in the brain tissue extract were detected by Western blot analysis and the activities of ATPases were determined using a fixed phosphorus method.RESULTS:The pathological changes in brain tissue were restored and motor function scores were increased in the mice in each cephalic acupuncture group,and the expression of neuronal growth-related proteins in the brain tissue extract was significantly increased.Additionally,the activities of ATPases in the lesion area were significant enhanced(P<0.05).Diffusion tensor imaging revealed that the white matter fiber bundles of mice in each cephalic acupuncture group gradually increased and recovered.The nervous system structure was significantly improved.CONCLUSIONS:All three acupuncture methods promoted the rehabilitation of nerve function damaged by cerebral palsy.These effects are likely related to the improved expression of nerve growth-related proteins,enhancement of ATPase activities,and regulation of the brain microenvironment.WANG Zixuan FAN Xiangwei CHEN Kaiyun YU Xuefeng GAO Jing 2021Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2021,41,2:8
4Regulation of FN1 degradation by the p62/SQSTM1-dependent autophagy-lysosome pathway in HNSCC显示文摘Epithelial–mesenchymal transition(EMT)is involved in both physiological and pathological processes.EMT plays an essential role in the invasion,migration and metastasis of tumours.Autophagy has been shown to regulate EMT in a variety of cancers but not in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma(HNSCC).Herein,we investigated whether autophagy also regulates EMT in HNSCC.Analyses of clinical data from three public databases revealed that higher expression of fibronectin-1(FN1)correlated with poorer prognosis and higher tumour pathological grade in HNSCC.Data from SCC-25 cells demonstrated that rapamycin and Earle’s balanced salt solution(EBSS)promoted autophagy,leading to increased FN1 degradation,while 3-methyladenine(3-MA),bafilomycin A1(Baf A1)and chloroquine(CQ)inhibited autophagy,leading to decreased FN1 degradation.On the other hand,autophagic flux was blocked in BECN1 mutant HNSCC Cal-27 cells,and rapamycin did not promote autophagy in Cal-27 cells;also in addition,FN1 degradation was inhibited.Further,we identified FN1 degradation through the lysosome-dependent degradation pathway using the proteasome inhibitor MG132.Data from immunoprecipitation assays also showed that p62/SQSTM1 participated as an autophagy adapter in the autophagy–lysosome pathway of FN1 degradation.Finally,data from immunoprecipitation assays demonstrated that the interaction between p62 and FN1 was abolished in p62 mutant MCF-7 and A2780 cell lines.These results indicate that autophagy significantly promotes the degradation of FN1.Collectively,our findings clearly suggest that FN1,as a marker of EMT,has adverse effects on HNSCC and elucidate the autophagy–lysosome degradation mechanism of FN1.Xinchen Liu Lin Meng Xing Li Daowei Li Qilin Liu Yumeng Chen Xiangwei Li Wenhuan Bu Hongchen Sun 2020International Journal of Oral Science2020,12,4:7
5Inductance calculation for 3D microsolenoids with single-layer coils显示文摘Three-dimensional(3D) single-layer microcoils have always been a key element for electromagnetic systems;but they lack an easy and accurate method to calculate the inductance value for their complex 3D micro-structures. This paper employed a curve-fitting process to obtain the associated equation for the inductance value and geometric parameters based on the simulation results. The correction factors regarding helical pitch and wire diameter were reviewed,which are used for compensation in the Nagaoka formula. The simulation process numerically simulated the performance of the 3D microcoils using a FEM electro-magnetic-coupled analysis method. Comparison of the simulated inductance value and the Nagaoka formula was undertaken,which shows that the helical pitch and wire diameter contribute a main role in the calculation error. 6Boosting proso millet yield by altering canopy light distribution in proso millet/mung bean intercropping systems显示文摘To elucidate the mechanism by which intercropping proso millet(Panicum miliaceum L.)with mung bean(Vigna radiata L.)increases proso millet yield and to determine how this higher yield results from maximization of resources use efficiency,we designed and conducted four strip intercropping row arrangements,including two rows of proso millet alternating with two rows of mung bean(2P2M),four rows of proso millet alternating with two rows of mung bean(4P2M),four rows of proso millet alternating with four rows of mung bean(4P4M),two rows of proso millet alternating with four rows of mung bean(2P4M),sole proso millet(SP,control)and sole mung bean(SM,control)in Yulin,Shaanxi,China.Photosynthetically active radiation(PAR)in the canopy,radiation use efficiency(RUE),leaf photosynthetic characteristics,dry matter accumulation and allocation,and yield of proso millet were investigated.The results showed that the intercropping systems had higher PAR than the monoculture.Mean PAR intensities were increased by respectively 2.2%–23.4%,19.8%–59.7%,and 61.2%–133.3%in the proso millet upper,middle and lower canopies compared with SP.The increase in PAR directly increased RUE,a result attributed mainly to the increase in photosynthetic capacity,including net photosynthetic rate and chlorophyll content.These responses resulted in increased dry matter allocation to plant organs.Yield of intercropped proso millet was 6.8%–37.3%higher than that under monoculture and the land equivalent ratios for the different intercropping patterns were all greater than unity(>1).In general,yield followed a positive linear function of PAR in the intercropping system.The results indicated that intercropping can boost proso millet yield,evidently by altering light distribution within its canopy and consequently increasing RUE,thereby increasing leaf photosynthetic capacity,dry matter accumulation,and allocation to the grain.The optimum combination for improving the growth and yield of proso millet on the Loess Plateau of China was 2P4M.Xiangwei Gong Uzizerimana Ferdinand Ke Dang Jing Li Guanghua Chen Yan Luo Pu Yang Baili Feng 2020The Crop Journal2020,8,2:6
7Detecting maize leaf water status by using digital RGB images显示文摘To explore the correlation between crop leaf digital RGB(Red,Green and Blue)image features and the corresponding moisture content of the leaf,a Canon digital camera was used to collect image information from detached leaves of heading-stage maize.A drying method was adopted to measure the moisture content of the leaf samples,and image processing technologies,including gray level co-occurrence matrices and grayscale histograms,was used to extract the maize leaf texture feature parameters and color feature parameters.The correlations of these feature parameters with moisture content were analyzed.It is found that the texture parameters of maize leaf RGB images,including contrast,correlation,entropy and energy,were not significantly correlated with moisture content.Thus,it was difficult to use these features to predict moisture content.Of the six groups of eigenvalues for the leaf color feature parameters,including mean,variance,energy,entropy,kurtosis and skewness,mean and kurtosis were found to be correlated with moisture content.Thus,these features could be used to predict the leaf moisture content.The correlation coefficient(R2)of the mean-moisture content relationship model was 0.7017,and the error of the moisture content prediction was within±2%.The R2 of the kurtosis-moisture content relationship model was 0.7175,and the error of the moisture content prediction was within±1.5%.The study results proved that RGB images of crop leaves could be used to measure moisture content.Han Wenting Sun Yu Xu Tengfei Chen Xiangwei Su Ki Ooi 2014International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2014,7,1:5
8Potential effect of sedimentary iron-phosphorus accumulation on frequent algal bloom in the Pearl River Estuary显示文摘Based on laboratory culture of harmful alga on iron and phosphorus uptake, and the study of accu-mulation of iron-phosphorus in cores and release of iron and phosphorus from surficial sediments collected in the Pearl River Estuary, the reasons of the high frequency of phytoplankton bloom therein are discussed. The results show that Fe starvation can make algal growth rate slow down and the peak of cell number decrease. Fe and P contents in algal cell bear a significant correlation and the molar ratio of P:Fe is ~356:1, suggesting that algal uptake of Fe and P is synergistic. Total Fe and total P in sediments are positively correlated and Fe-P is the main species of inorganic sedimentary P. Through continuous leaching with agitation, 34.26%―80.21% of exchangeable P and 4.04%―22.52% of ex-changeable Fe are released from surficial sediments, implying that the accumulation of Fe-P in sedi-ments is available for providing nutrients (P and essential Fe) for the demand of phytoplankton bloom. 11Influence of oxygen content on the microstructure and mechanical properties of cold rolled Ti-32.5Nb-6.8Zr-2.7Sn-x O alloys after aging treatment显示文摘The influence of oxygen(O) content on the microstructure and mechanical properties of cold rolled Ti-32.5 Nb-6.8 Zr-2.7 Sn-xO(TNZS-xO; x = 0,0.3.0.6; mass%) alloys after aging at temperature range from 350 to 600℃ for 24 h was investigated. Results showed that the cold rolled TNZS-xO alloys possess single βphase. During the aging process, O could not only effectively suppress the precipitation of ω phase but also retard the formation and decomposition of a phase. In addition, the corresponding temperatures of the maximal volume fraction of α phase precipitation and the(α+β)/β transus temperatures of the TNZS-xO alloys were all increased with the increasing of O content. For mechanical properties, it was found that the strength and Young's modulus of the TNZS-xO alloys increased owing to the ω phase and/or a phase precipitation and decreased owing to the a phase decomposition. However, the elongation showed the opposite change tendency with the above mentioned strength. The mechanical properties of TNZS-xO alloys can be controlled over a wide range by subjecting to aging treatment and/or changing their 0 content. When aged at or below 450 ℃,the TNZS-xO alloys exhibit great potential to become a series of new candidates for biomedical applications since they possess high strength(870-1460 MPa), low Young's modulus(45.1-75.6 GPa), high strength-to-modulus ratio(0.018-0.02) and appropriate elongation(7.2%-14.9%), which are superior to those of Ti-6 Al-4 V alloy and suitable for the use as bio-implant materials.Chunbo Lan Feng Chen Huijuan Chen Yulong Wu Xiangwei Wu 2018Journal of Materials Science & Technology2018,34,11:2
12Enhanced visible-light-assisted peroxymonosulfate activation over MnFe_(2)O_(4) modified g-C_(3)N_(4)/diatomite composite for bisphenol A degradation显示文摘The MnFe_(2) O_(4)/g-C_(3) N_(4)/diatomite composites(Mn/G/D) were prepared via a facile precipitation-calcination method in this study.The Mn/G/D possessed higher specific surface area,lower electron-hole pairs' recombination rate,as well as wider and stronger visible light absorption capacity.Since the synergistic effect between g-C_(3 )N_(4) and MnFe_(2) O_(4),the photogene rated electron could transfer from g-C3 N4 to MnFe_(2) O_(4),which could promote the migration of electrons as well as enhance the photocatalytic activity and peroxymonosulfate(PMS) activation efficiency.Mn/G/D-5% composite displayed the excellent degradation performance of bisphenol A(BPA) with the removal efficiency of 99.9% under PMS/Vis system,which was approximately 2.47 and 63.8 times as high as that of the Mn/G/D-5%/PMS and Mn/G/D-5%/Vis system,respectively.Moreover,negative electricity derived from diatomite surface also promoted the photogenerated carriers' migration,and the degradation rate constant was around 2.4 times higher than that of MnFe_(2) O_(4)/g-C_(3) N_(4)(Mn/G).In addition,quenching experiments showed that both radical pathway(h^(+),·OH,·O_(2)^(-)and SO_(4)·^(-)) and non-radical pathway(^(1) O_(2)) were responsible for the degradation of BPA.Xiangwei Zhang Chunquan Li Ting Chen Ye Tan Xiaorui Liu Fang Yuan Shuilin Zheng Zhiming Sun 2021International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2021,31,6:2

14EMMD-Prony approach for dynamic validation of simulation models显示文摘Model validation and updating is critical to model credibility growth. In order to assess model credibility quantitatively and locate model error precisely, a new dynamic validation method based on extremum field mean mode decomposition(EMMD) and the Prony method is proposed in this paper. Firstly, complex dynamic responses from models and real systems are processed into stationary components by EMMD. These components always have definite physical meanings which can be the evidence about rough model error location. Secondly, the Prony method is applied to identify the features of each EMMD component. Amplitude similarity, frequency similarity, damping similarity and phase similarity are defined to describe the similarity of dynamic responses.Then quantitative validation metrics are obtained based on the improved entropy weight and energy proportion. Precise model error location is realized based on the physical meanings of these features.
