1Jianpijiedu Fang improves survival of hepatocarcinoma mice by affecting phosphatase and tensin homolog, phosphoinositide 3-kinase, and focal adhesion kinase显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effect of Jianpijiedu Fang (JPJDF) on phosphatase and tensin homolog (PTEN), phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K), and focal adhesion kinase (FAK), and on the survival of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) nude mice. METHODS: Forty male nude mice were randomly divided into 4 groups. Human HCC tissue was implanted in the livers of three groups. After 24 h, the three groups were treated respectively with JPJDF (37.5 g/kg), saline (20 mL/kg) and Tegafur (FT-207, 160 mg/kg) once a day for 10 weeks. The control group without implanting the tissue was concurrently treated with saline (20 mL/kg). The survival data and body weight of all mice were recorded, and expression levels of PTEN, PI3K and FAK in normal tissue and cancer tissue of the livers were eval-uated with immunohistochemical method. RESULTS: The cumulative survival rate of the mice in the JPJDF group was higher than those of the other groups. The rate of weight loss was the lowest in JPJDF group. The survivability and weight loss rate in FT-207 group were the poorest in all groups. The expression intensity of PTEN was higher in normal tissues than in cancer tissues, and lower in the normal tissues of HCC models than in that of mice without HCC. The PTEN expression intensity in normal tissue and cancer tissue from mice treated with FT-207 were lower than that from the mice treated with JPJDF or saline.The expression intensity of PI3K was higher in cancer tissue than in normal tissue. The PI3K expression intensity was the lowest in normal tissue and cancer tissue from mice treated with JPJDF, and the intensity from mice treated with FT-207 was the highest. In mice treated with JPJDF, the expression intensity of FAK was higher in the normal tissue and lower in the cancer tissue than those of the other treatment groups. 3Long-term bone and lung consequences associated with hospital-acquired severe acute respiratory syndrome:a 15-year follow-up from a prospective cohort study显示文摘The most severe sequelae after rehabilitation from SARS are femoral head necrosis and pulmonary fibrosis. We performed a 15-year follow-up on the lung and bone conditions of SARS patients. We evaluated the recovery from lung damage and femoral head necrosis in an observational cohort study of SARS patients using pulmonary CT scans, hip joint MRI examinations, pulmonary function tests and hip joint function questionnaires. Eighty medical staff contracted SARS in 2003. Two patients died of SARS, and78 were enrolled in this study from August 2003 to March 2018. Seventy-one patients completed the 15-year follow-up. The percentage of pulmonary lesions on CT scans diminished from 2003(9.40 ± 7.83)% to 2004(3.20 ± 4.78)%(P < 0.001) and remained stable thereafter until 2018(4.60 ± 6.37)%. Between 2006 and 2018, the proportion of patients with interstitial changes who had improved pulmonary function was lower than that of patients without lesions, as demonstrated by the one-second ratio(FEV1/FVC%, t = 2.21, P = 0.04) and mid-flow of maximum expiration(FEF25%–75%, t = 2.76, P = 0.01). The volume of femoral head necrosis decreased significantly from 2003(38.83 ± 21.01)% to 2005(30.38 ± 20.23)%(P = 0.000 2), then declined slowly from 2005 to 2013(28.99 ± 20.59)% and plateaued until 2018(25.52 ± 15.51)%. Pulmonary interstitial damage and functional decline caused by SARS mostly recovered, with a greater extent of recovery within 2 years after rehabilitation. 5Effect of polypeptide 2B1 on condition of dampness pattern in rats in terms of Traditional Chinese Medicine显示文摘OBJECTIVE: This study investigated how polypeptide 2B1 is involved in regulating and governing dampness in rat models with dampness pattern defined in terms ofTraditional Chinese Medicine.METHODS: We randomly divided 48 SPF10-week-old male Sprague-Dawley(SD) rats into a normal group, normal + Aristolochic acid I(AA-I) for5 min group, normal + AA-I for 60 min group,dampness pattern group(DS-Group), dampness pattern + AA-I for 5 min group, and dampness pattern + AA-I for 60 min group. Groups were then treated accordingly. 7Multi-element analysis of Baijiu(Chinese liquors)by ICP-MS and their classification according to geographical origin显示文摘Objectives:Investigating the element profiles of Be,Al,V,Cr,Mn,Fe,Co,Ni,Cu,Zn,As,Se,Rb,Sr,Ag,Cd,Cs,La,Pr,Nd,Sm,Eu,Gd,Pb,Th,and U of Baijiu(Chinese liquors),and setting up their classification according to geographical origin.Materials and Methods:Twenty-eight Chinese liquors from Shandong,Guizhou,and Sichuan provinces were analyzed by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry with the aid of matrix matching,online internal calibration,and direct injection to determine the concentrations of the aforementioned 26 elements.Multivariate statistical analysis,based on the contents of elements in the liquors,was applied to differentiate the liquors from different origins.Results:Both the cluster analysis based on 11 elements and the discriminant analysis based on 5 elements can separate the liquors of Shandong Province from others.A leave-one-out cross test of the discriminant analysis data resulted in 100 per cent accuracy regarding the recognition ability and prediction ability for the liquors from Shandong Province,and an overall 75.0 per cent accuracy of its prediction for all the 28 total liquors.Limitations:The liquors of Guizhou and Sichuan provinces can not be differentiated successfully.Conclusions:The liquors produced in Shandong Province can be differentiated in a great extent from Guizhou and Sichuan provinces based on the multivariate statistical analysis of the concentration of elements in liquors,while those of Guizhou and Sichuan provinces can not be differentiated successfully due to their geographical adjacency.Xuebo Song Min Hou Zhi Li Lin Zhu Fuping Zheng Mingquan Huang Xiaotao Sun Hehe Li Feng Chen Baoguo Sun 2018Food Quality and Safety2018,2,1:3
8Effects of hydrogenation temperature on room-temperature compressive properties of CMHT-treated Ti6Al4V alloy显示文摘Compression tests were performed at room temperature to investigate the effects of hydrogenation temperature on compressive properties of Ti6 Al4 V alloy treated by continuous multistep hydrogenation treatment(CMHT).Pressure-composition isotherms and micro structures were also studied.Results showed that the equilibrium hydrogen pressure increased,and the hydrogen absorption rate decreased with the increase of hydrogenation temperature.The amounts ofβphase andα'martensite increased first and then decreased when Ti6 Al4 V alloy was treated by four times CMHT with the increase of hydrogenation temperature.Hydrogenation temperature played a different role on the compressive properties of CMHT-treated Ti6 Al4 V alloy.The ultimate compression of Ti6 Al4 V alloy treated by 11 times CMHT at850℃increased by 83.3%as compared to the as-received Ti6 Al4 V alloy.The compressive properties of Ti6 Al4 V alloy were dependent on the amounts of different phases and microstructures when Ti6 Al4 V alloy was treated by CMHT at different temperatures.Baoguo Yuan Xing Liu Jiangfei Du Qiang Chen Yuanyuan Wan Yunliang Xiang Yan Tang Xiaoxue Zhang Zhongyue Huang 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,13:3

10Field test on temperature field and thermal stress for prestressed concrete box-girder bridge显示文摘A field test was conducted to investigate the distribution of temperature field and the variation of thermal stress for a prestressed concrete(PC)box-girder bridge.The change of hydration heat temperature consists of four periods:temperature rising period,constant temperature period,rapid temperature fall period and stow temperature fall period.The peak value of hydration heat temperature increases with the increasing casting temperature of concrete;the relation between them is approximately linear.According to field tests,the thermal stress incurred by hydration heat may induce temperature cracks on the PC box-girder.Furthermore,the nonlinear distribution of temperature gradient and the fluctuation of thermal stress induced by exposure to sunlight were also obtained based on continuous in-situ monitoring.Such results show that the prevailing Chinese Code(2004)is insufficient since it does not take into account the temperature gradient of the bottom slab.Finally,some preventive measures against temperature cracks were proposed based on related studies.The conclusions can provide valuable reference for the design and construction of PC box-girder bridges.Baoguo CHEN Rui DING Junjie ZHENG Shibiao ZHANG 2009Frontiers of Structural and Civil Engineering2009,3,2:2
11Correlation between pathogenesis of dampness syndrome and Interleukin-2,Interleukin-8 in rats显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To explore the pathogenesis of dampness syndrome by detecting the changes of interleukin-2 (IL-2) and interleukin-8 (IL-8) levels. METHODS: Female Sprague Dawley rats were divided randomly into five groups according to the random number table: a normal group (GroupⅠ), an external dampness group (GroupⅡ), an internal dampness group (Group Ⅲ), and an external and internal dampness group (GroupⅣ). Twenty days after the model made, IL-2 and IL-8 levels were detected by radioimmunoassay method. RESULTS: The IL-2 and IL-8 levels among groups were significant (F=3.102, P<0.05; F=2.657, P<0.05, respectively). The level of IL-2 in Group Ⅱ and Group Ⅲ were higher than that in GroupⅠ(P<0.05, P<0.01, respectively), especially higher in the Group Ⅲ compared with GroupⅡ (P<0.05). The lev- el of IL-8 in Group Ⅲ were higher than those inGroupⅠ, GroupⅡ and GroupⅣ (P<0.05, P<0.01, P< 0.05, respectively). In the GroupⅢ, the 24-hour wa ter and body weight were higher than that in the GroupⅣ (all P<0.05), and spontaneous movemen frequency was higher than those in GroupⅡ and GroupⅣ (P<0.05). 13Structural geology and favorable exploration prospect belts in northwestern Sichuan Basin, SW China显示文摘The northwestern Sichuan region has experienced multi-stage tectonic evolution including marine cratonic basin from the Sinian to the Middle Triassic and intra-continental basin from the Late Triassic to the Cenozoic. Several regional tectonic activities caused complicated stratigraphic distribution and structural deformations in the deep-buried layers. During the key tectonic periods, some characteristic sedimentary and deformation structures were formed, including the step-shaped marginal carbonate platform of Dengying Formation, the western paleo-high at the end of Silurian, and the passive continental margin of the Late Paleozoic–Middle Triassic. The Meso-Cenozoic intra-continental compressional tectonic processes since the Late Triassic controlled the formation of complex thrusting structures surrounding and inside the northwestern basin. The northern Longmenshan fold-thrust belt has a footwall in-situ thrust structure,which is controlled by two sets of detachments in the Lower Triassic and Lower Cambrian and presents as a multi-level deformation structure with the shallow folds, the middle thin-skin thrusts and the deeper basement-involved folds. The thrust belt in front of the Micangshan Mountain shows a double-layer deformation controlled by the Lower Triassic salt detachment, which is composed by the upper monocline and deep-buried imbricate thrust structures. The interior of the basin is characterized by several rows of large-scale basement-involved folds with NEE strike direction. From the perspective of structural geology, the favorable exploration reservoirs and belts in northwestern Sichuan have obvious zoning characteristics. The favorable exploration layers of Dengying Formation of Upper Sinian are mainly distributed in the eastern and northern areas of the northwestern Sichuan Basin, in which the Jiulongshan structural belt, Zitong syncline and Yanting slope are the most favorable. The Lower Paleozoic was transformed by Caledonian paleo-uplift and late Cenozoic folding, and the midwest area such as the Zitong syncline is a potential area for hydrocarbon exploration.
