| 2 | Development of cell-based pseudovirus entry assay to identify potential viral entry inhibitors and neutralizing antibodies against SARS-CoV-2显示文摘Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)is the causative virus of the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic.To establish a safe and convenient assay system for studying entry inhibitors and neutralizing antibodies against SARS-CoV-2,we constructed a codon-optimized,full-length C-terminal mutant spike(S)gene of SARS-CoV-2.We generated a luciferase(Luc)-expressing pseudovirus containing the wild-type or mutant S protein of SARS-CoV-2 in the envelope-defective HIV-1 backbone.The key parameters for this pseudovirus-based assay,including the S mutants and virus incubation time,were optimized.This pseudovirus contains a Luc reporter gene that enabled us to easily quantify virus entry into angiotensin-converting enzyme 2(ACE2)-expressing 293T cells.Cathepsin(Cat)B/L inhibitor E64d could significantly block SARS-CoV-2 pseudovirus infection in 293T-ACE2 cells.Furthermore,the SARS-CoV-2 spike pseudotyped virus could be neutralized by sera from convalescent COVID-19 patients or recombinant ACE2 with the fused Fc region of human IgG1.Thus,we developed a pseudovirus-based assay for SARS-CoV-2,which will be valuable for evaluating viral entry inhibitors and neutralizing antibodies against this highly pathogenic virus. | Jie Hu Qingzhu Gao Changlong He Ailong Huang Ni Tang Kai Wang | 2020 | Genes & Diseases2020,7,4: | 15 |

| 5 | Hydrothermal growth of KTiOPO_(4) crystal for electro-optical application显示文摘'New'electro-optical(EO)crystals are hard to find,'old'EO crystals are scarce and each has its own problems,and the demand for high-performance EO crystals by higher power,higher repetition rate,and narrower pulse width laser is realistic and urgent.The EO performance of KTP was recognized as soon as it was discovered,but after more than 40 years of development,the reports,and products of EO devices based on KTP are less than those of other EO crystals,even though KTP is now almost the cheapest nonlinear optical crystal material.In this paper,based on our understanding of the crystal structure of predecessors and ourselves,especially the understanding and practice of quasi-one-dimensional ionic conduction mechanism,we think that crystal growth is the most important reason that affects the controllability of crystal performance.Through a series of science and technology,we realize the growth of large-size crystals with high-optical uniformity,then reduce the absorption of KTP to a very low level,and grow crystals with resistance to electric damage and laser damage.On this basis,reducing the conductivity and improving the uniformity of optical,electrical,piezoelectric,and ferroelectric properties are emphasized.The extinction ratio,piezoelectric ringing effect,and thermal influence of the EO switch based on KTP crystal are tested,and some publicly available progress of using KTP EO devices in high-repetition rate laser is listed.Finally,we are looking forward to the development of KTP EO crystal for the laser system to EO generator for integrated optics. | Haitao Zhou Xiaoling He Wenyuan Wu Jingfang Tong Jinliang Wang Yanbin Zuo Yicheng Wu Changlong Zhang Zhanggui Hu | 2023 | Light(Science & Applications)2023,12,1: | 1 |
| 6 | A curvelet-based method to determine wave directions from nautical X-band radar images显示文摘A new method to determine wave directions from nautical X-band images is proposed. The signatures of ocean waves show obvious scale and directional characteristics in nautical X-band radar images. Curvelet transform(CT) possesses very high scale and directional sensitivities. Therefore, it has good capability to analyze ocean wave fields. The radar images are decomposed at different scales, in different directions, and at different positions by CT, and curvelet coefficients are obtained. Given to the scale and directional characteristics of surface waves,the information of ocean waves is centralized in the curvelet coefficients of certain directions and at certain scales.Therefore, the wave orientations can be determined. The 180 ambiguity is removed by calculating crosscorrelation coefficients(CCCs) between continuous collected images.
