1Dust dispersion and management in underground mining faces显示文摘Presence of fine dust in air causes serious health hazard for mine operators resulting in such serious problems as coal workers’pneumoconiosis and silicosis.Major sources of dust appear of course along the mining face where the minerals are extracted.Proper control and management are required to ensure safe working environment in the mine.Here,we utilize the computational fluid dynamic(CFD)approach to evaluate various methods used for mitigating dust dispersion from the mining face and for ensuring safe level of dust concentration in the mine tunnel for safety of the operators.The methods used include:application of blowing and exhaust fans,application of brattice and combination of both.The results suggest that among the examined methods,implementation of appropriately located brattice to direct the flow from the main shaft to the mining face is the most effective method to direct dust particles away from the mining face.Kurnia Jundika Candra Sasmito Agus Pulung Mujumdar Arun Sadashiv 2014International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2014,24,1:39

13Multi-Objective Optimization of External Louvers in Buildings显示文摘Because solar energy is among the renewable energies,it has traditionally been used to provide lighting in buildings.When solar energy is effectively utilized during the day,the environment is not only more comfortable for users,but it also utilizes energy more efficiently for both heating and cooling purposes.Because of this,increasing the building’s energy efficiency requires first controlling the amount of light that enters the space.Considering that the only parts of the building that come into direct contact with the sun are the windows,it is essential to make use of louvers in order to regulate the amount of sunlight that enters the building.Through the use of Ant Colony Optimization(ACO),the purpose of this study is to estimate the proportions and technical specifications of external louvers,as well as to propose a model for designing the southern openings of educational space in order to maximize energy efficiency and intelligent consumption,as well as to ensure that the appropriate amount of light is provided.According to the findings of this research,the design of external louvers is heavily influenced by a total of five distinct aspects:the number of louvers,the depth of the louvers,the angle of rotation of the louvers,the distance between the louvers and the window,and the reflection coefficient of the louvers.The results of the 2067 simulated case study show that the best reflection rates of the louvers are between 0 and 15 percent,and the most optimal distance between the louvers and the window is in the range of 0 to 18 centimeters.Additionally,the results show that the best distance between the louvers and the window is in the range of 0 to 18 centimeters.Tzu-Chia Chen Ngakan Ketut Acwin Dwijendra I.Wayan Parwata Agata Iwan Candra Elsayed M.Tag El Din 2023Computers, Materials & Continua2023,,4:0

15An Investigation of Regional Variations in the Biaxial Mechanical Properties of Porcine Mitral Valve显示文摘Objective Mitral valve(MV)plays an importance role in regulating blood flow from left atrium to left ventricle and preventing backflow to left atrium.Mitral Valve consist of four important parts;anterior leaflet,posterior leaflet,chordae tendineae,and papillary muscles,which all work in harmony.The material properties alteration on the leaflet causes MV malfunction,and leading to valve diseases such as regurgitation and stenosis.The alteration may be caused by several factors such as calcification,genetic disorders,and infection,which usually have an influence to the mechanical properties,and thus affecting the mechanical behavior of MV.In consequence,some of the patients need MV replacement or repair to restore the normal function of MV.The important point for succeeding such a medical treatment depends on the technique,design,and material used in the treatment shall help rebuild the normal mechanical environment and behavior of MV.Therefore,the mechanical and materials characteristics of MV become a magnetism to explore.In this study,we present an integrated experimental and mathematical constitutive study base in collagen distribution aiming at the mechanical property differences in various region on MV.Methods and materials Both the size and composition of porcine valves are similar to human’s,so the porcine heart valve is often being used in experimental research.Mitral valve was isolated from fresh eight porcine hearts(250-500 gr),and perfused in PBS solution to maintain moist.Anterior and posterior leaflets were separated and dissected into 4 part(two 8~*8 mm rough zone and two clear zone samples)and 2 part(8~*8 mm belly and edge of the clear zone)respectively.Tracking markers(glass bean)were stickled on specimen with superglue(cyanoacrylate adhesive).Then,the specimen was mounted onto biaxial tester machine(CeIIScale,Biotester),and the tests are run by force control.During mechanical test,the specimen is immersed into PBS solution in physiological temperature(37℃).Every test procedure contains 8 preconditioning cycles and 8 loading cycles.The mechanical behavior was determined from the relationship between first Piola-Kirchoff stress and stretch.Constitutive model was reconstructed and material parameters were fitted from biaxial tensile result.Histological analyses were performed in the specimen before and after test.First,a piece of the specimen was cut and immersed in fixation solution(4%paraformaldehyde),then it was dehydrated in graded alcohol solution,and next embedding in paraffin wax block.Paraffin block was then cut and stained with VVG and Picro-sirius red.The collagen fibril orientation was observed from those histological results.Results The experimental results of the clear zone of MV’s first Piola-Kirchhoff stress and stretch curve are similar to those of the recent study from others,while result of the rough zone shows a different trend.This can be explained by differences in collagen distribution between clear zone and rough zone of MV.Our result thus allows for a refinement of computational models for more accurately predicting MV condition,where tissue heterogeneity plays an important role in the MV function.Candra Ratna Sari Shenda Chen Yang Lei Hao Gao Guixue Wang Xingsuang Ma 2019医用生物力学2019,34,A01:0

17Selective microwave absorption in Nd3+ substituted barium ferrite composites显示文摘Microwave(MW)frequency based wireless communications and electronic devices became prospective due to several ramifications.To meet this need,a series of neodymium ions(Nd3+)substituted barium ferrite composites with composition(20)BaO:(80-x)Fe2 O3:(x)Nd2 O3(0≤x≤3 mol%)was prepared at1100℃using solid-state reaction method.We evaluated the effect of various Nd3+ions contents on the surface morphology,structure,and magnetic properties of the as-synthesized barium ferrite composites.Meanwhile,microwave reflection loss,complex permittivity and permeability were determined using the transmission/reflection line method in the X-band(8-12 GHz).SEM image of the composites shows that the surface morphology consists of rough and porous microstructures.XRD patterns of the un-doped composites reveal the existence of BaFe12O19(hexagonal)and Fe21.333O32(tetragonal)crystalline phases.Furthermore,a new hexagonal crystalline phase of Ba6 Nd2 Fe4 O15 with the crystallite sizes between 15 and 67 nm is observed due to Nd3+ions substitution in the composite.The saturation magnetization of the composite containing 2 mol%of Nd3+does not exhibit any significant alteration compared to the one devoid of Nd3+.The complex relative permitivity and permeability of the achieved composites enriched in Ba6 Nd2 Fe4 O15 and BaFe2 O4 phases disclose significant MW frequency dependence.The composites also display selective MW absorption in the X-band which could be useful for diverse applications.Wahyu Widanarto Siti Khaeriyah Sib Krishna Ghoshal Candra Kurniawan Mukhtar Effendi Wahyu Tri Cahyanto 2019Journal of Rare Earths2019,37,12:0
