1Optimal allocation of multi-type FACTS devices in power systems based on power flow entropy显示文摘Flexible AC transmission systems(FACTS)devices can effectively optimize the distribution of power flow.Power flow entropy can be applied as a measure of load distribution.In this paper,a method is proposed to optimize the distribution of power flow with the coordination of multi-type FACTS devices and establishes the corresponding mathematical models.The modified group searcher optimization(GSO)algorithm is proposed,in which the angle search is combined with chaotic search model to avoid jumping into local optimization.Compared with the different optimal allocation of multi-FACTS devices,the optimal allocation of multi-FACTS devices is achieved under the economic constraints.The locations obtained by this method can achieve the purpose of balancing power flow and enhancing the system performances.The simulations are demonstrated in an IEEE 118-bus power system with two classical types of FACTS,namely static var compensator(SVC)and thyristor controlled series Compensator(TCSC).The simulation results show that the proposed method is feasible and effective.Canbing LI Liwu XIAO Yijia CAO Qianlong ZHU Baling FANG Yi TAN Long ZENG 2014Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy2014,2,2:23
2Capacity Configuration of Hybrid CSP/PV Plant for Economical Application of Solar Energy显示文摘Concentrating solar power(CSP)technology has received increasing attention in recent years because of its distinct advantage for dispatchable power generation from solar energy.However,owing to its highly levelized costs of electricity,CSP plants are less competitive than photovoltaic(PV)power plants.To overcome this drawback and suppress PV power fluctuations,the concept of a hybrid CSP/PV power plant is proposed and developed.A capacity configuration method based on filtering and checking is proposed to seek a relationship between the capacity configuration of a hybrid CSP/PV system and the cost of solar energy.Co-content hybrid systems with different ratios of CSP capacity and PV capacity are modeled,and their comprehensive performance is investigated.Simulations and comparisons with a standalone CSP system focused on annual energy generation,capacity factor,levelized cost of electricity,and possibility for loss of power supply show that the hybrid CSP/PV systems possess different features depending on their capacity configurations.The results indicate that the proposed method can supply a convenient and simple operation pattern that favors engineering utilization and extension.Fei Li Canbing Li Kai Sun Jiamei Zhang Hua Li 2020Chinese Journal of Electrical Engineering2020,6,2:3
3Steady-state Voltage Reactive Compensation Method for Half-wavelength Transmission Lines Considering Equivalent Power Supply Impedance显示文摘Half-wavelength AC transmission(HWACT)refers to transmission along lines with an electrical distance of half the power frequency wavelength.The voltage amplitude at the sending terminal is equal to that at the receiving terminal in steady-state.Furthermore,the voltage at the receiving terminal does not vary with load.However,the electrical distance has been extended in actual HWACT lines because of the impact of the equivalent power supply impedance,so the attractive characteristics no longer hold.As a result,reactive power compensation methods with constant power factor and constant voltage are needed and these are presented in this paper.The steady-state operational characteristics,the calculation methods of additional reactive power compensation and the admittance of a controllable shunt reactor are also given.The methods proposed in this paper are relatively simple to implement,and the calculations involved are straightforward,resulting in effective voltage stabilization.The results indicate that such compensation methods can increase the transmission capacity while maintaining a relatively low voltage along the line.Jun Yi Wei Hu Zijie Zhang Lu Qiu Ansi Wang Bowen Yan Canbing Li Quanyou Yue 2020CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2020,6,4:2

11A comparative study on grid resource utilization rate between China Southern Power Grid and National Grid Plc of UK显示文摘Grid resource utilization rate plays a key role in power grid operation.Although the proportion of population and the area in China Southern Power Grid(CSG)and National Grid Plc of UK(NG)are nearly,grid resources utilization of CSG is lower than that of NG.In this paper,the utilization of human resources and equipment resources of CSG and NG have been reviewed.It is discovered that there is a large gap between these two companies.The results show that the utilization in CSG is about 20%to 50%of that in NG.And it is estimated that if the equipment resources utilization of CSG increases to the level of NG in 2012,the coal consumption and thus CO2 emissions would be reduced by 17 million tons and 21 million tons,respectively.As China is a developing country and Britain is a mature developed country,it is to some extent reasonable that grid resources utilization of CSG is lower than that of NG.The benefits of improving equipment resources utilization are illustrated in detail,which provided the reference for developing the grid resource utilization in China.Long Zhou Di Zhang Weijie Wu Manman Zhu Hanyu Yang Canbing Li Ge Li Fei Li Mingjian Cui 2018Protection and Control of Modern Power Systems2018,3,1:0
12Influence of Re-ions with different ionic radius in Ba_(12)ReNb_(9)O_(36) on crystal structure and microwave dielectric properties显示文摘The Ba_(12)ReNb_(9)O_(36)(Re=Yb,Ce,Tm,Er,Y,Ho,Dy,Gd)ceramics are synthesized by solid-phase reaction method.The phase composition,crystal structure,microstructure,and microwave dielectric properties of the ceramics are investigated by X-ray diffraction,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,Scanning electron microscopy and Raman spectrum.The optimal microwave dielectric properties(ε_(r)=37.23,Q×f=36600 GHz,andτ_(f)=34 ppm/℃)are obtained for Ba_(12)YbNb_(9)O_(36) ceramic sintered at 1420℃for 6 h.In this system,the variation of dielectric constant is dominated by polarizability.The Q×f is mainly affected by internal strain/fluctuation of d-spacing.The variation of τ_(f) is related to the temperature coefficient of dielectric constant and the oxygen octahedron distortion.Furthermore,the reduction of Ce^(4+) ions,the relative density,linear thermal expansion coefficient,and the second phase are also important factors affecting microwave dielectric properties.Pengcheng Zhang Hao Li Xiaoqing Chen Xing Zhang Hongcheng Yang Canbing Li Shuren Zhang 2022Journal of Materiomics2022,8,1:0
13Economic Scheduling of Gaseous-liquid Hydrogen Generation and Storage Plants Considering Complementarity of Multiple Products显示文摘The accessible and convenient hydrogen supply is the foundation of successful materialization for hydrogen-powered vehicles(HVs).This paper proposes a novel optimal scheduling model for gaseous-liquid hydrogen generation and storage plants powered by renewable energy to enhance the economic feasibility of investment.The gaseous-liquid hydrogen generation and storage plant can be regarded as an energy hub to supply concurrent service to both the transportation sector and ancillary market.In the proposed model,the power to multi-state hydrogen(P2MH)process is analyzed in detail to model the branched hydrogen flow constraints and the corresponding energy conversion relationship during hydrogen generation,processing,and storage.To model the coupling and interaction of diverse modules in the system,the multi-energy coupling matrix is developed,which can exhibit the mapping of power from the input to the output.Based on this,a multi-product optimal scheduling(MPOS)algorithm considering complementarity of different hydrogen products is further formulated to optimize dispatch factors of the energy hub system to maximize the profit within limited resources.The demand response signals are incorporated in the algorithm to further enhance the operation revenue and the scenario-based method is deployed to consider the uncertainty.The proposed methodology has been fully tested and the results demonstrate that the proposed MPOS can lead to a higher rate of return for the gaseous-liquid hydrogen generation and storage plant.Jiamei Zhang Kai Sun Canbing Li Hui Liu Wentao Huang Bin Zhou Xiaochao Hou 2023Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy2023,11,1:0
14ADMM-based Distributed Active and Reactive Power Control for Regional AC Power Grid with Wind Farms显示文摘A distributed active and reactive power control(DARPC)strategy based on the alternating direction method of multipliers(ADMM)is proposed for regional AC transmission system(TS)with wind farms(WFs).The proposed DARPC strategy optimizes the power distribution among the WFs to minimize the power losses of the AC TS while tracking the active power reference from the transmission system operator(TSO),and minimizes the voltage deviation of the buses inside the WF from the rated voltage as well as the power losses of the WF collection system.The optimal power flow(OPF)of the TS is relaxed by using the semidefinite programming(SDP)relaxation while the branch flow model is used to model the WF collection system.In the DARPC strategy,the large-scale strongly-coupled optimization problem is decomposed by using the ADMM,which is solved in the regional TS controller and WF controllers in parallel without loss of the global optimality.The boundary information is exchanged between the regional TS controller and WF controllers.Compared with the conventional OPF method of the TS with WFs,the optimality and accuracy of the system operation can be improved.Moreover,the proposed strategy efficiently reduces the computation burden of the TS controller and eliminates the need of a central controller.The protection of the information privacy can be enhanced.A modified IEEE 9-bus system with two WFs consisting of 64 wind turbines(WTs)is used to validate the proposed DARPC strategy.Pengda Wang Qiuwei Wu Sheng Huang Canbing Li Bin Zhou 2022Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy2022,10,3:0
15Bi-level Energy Trading Model Incorporating Large-scale Biogas Plant and Demand Response Aggregator显示文摘Increasing intermittent renewable energy sources(RESs)intensifies the imbalance between demand and generation,entailing the diversification of the deployment of electrical energy storage systems(ESSs).A large-scale biogas plant(LBP)installed with heating devices and biogas energy storage(BES)usually exhibits a storage-like characteristic of accommodating an increasing penetration level of RES in rural areas,which is addressed in this paper.By utilizing the temperature-sensitive characteristic of anaerobic digestion that enables the LBP to exhibit a storage-like characteristic,this paper proposes a bi-level energy trading model incorporating LBP and demand response aggregator(DRA)simultaneously.In this model,social welfare is maximized at the upper level while the profit of DRA is maximized at the lower level.Compared with cases only with DRA,the results show that the proposed model with the LBP improves the on-site accommodation capacity of photovoltaic(PV)generation up to 6.3%,18.1%,and 18.9%at 30%,40%,and 50%PV penetration levels,respectively,with a better economic performance.This nonlinear bi-level problem is finally recast by a single-level mathematical program with equilibrium constraints(MPEC)using Karush-Kuhn-Tucker(KKT)conditions and solved by the Cplex solver.The effectiveness of the proposed model is validated using a 33-bus test system and a sensitivity analysis is provided for analyzing what parameter influences the accommodation capacity most.Hanyu Yang Canbing Li Ruanming Huang Feng Wang Lili Hao Qiuwei Wu Long Zhou 2023Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy2023,11,2:0
16Optimal Offering Strategy of Virtual Power Plant with Hybrid Renewable Ocean Energy Portfolio显示文摘This paper proposes a hybrid ocean energy sys-tem to form a virtual power plant(VPP)for participating in electricity markets in order to promote the renewable ocean energy utilization and accommodation.In the proposed system,solar thermal energy is integrated with the closed-cycle ocean thermal energy conversion(OTEC)to boost the temperature differences between the surface and deep seawater for efficiency and flexibility improvements,and the thermodynamic effects of seawater mass flow rates on the output of solar-boosted OTEC(SOTEC)are exploited for deploying SOTEC as a renewable dispatchable unit.An optimal tidal-storage operation model is also developed to make use of subsea pumped storage(SPS)with hydrostatic pressures at ocean depths for mitigating the intermittent tidal range energy in order to make the arbitrage in the electricity market.Furthermore,a two-stage coordinated scheduling strategy is presented to optimally control seawater mass flow rates of SOTEC and hydraulic reversible pump-turbines of SPS for enhancing the daily VPP profit.Comparative studies have been investigated to confirm the superiority of the developed methodology in various renewable ocean energy and electricity market price scenarios.Siyuan Guo Bin Zhou Ka Wing Chan Siqi Bu Canbing Li Nian Liu Cong Zhang 2023CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2023,9,6:0
