| 2 | Agricultural remote sensing big data:Management and applications显示文摘Big data with its vast volume and complexity is increasingly concerned, developed and used for all professions and trades. Remote sensing, as one of the sources for big data, is generating earth-observation data and analysis results daily from the platforms of satellites, manned/unmanned aircrafts, and ground-based structures. Agricultural remote sensing is one of the backbone technologies for precision agriculture, which considers within-field variability for site-specific management instead of uniform management as in traditional agriculture. The key of agricultural remote sensing is, with global positioning data and geographic information, to produce spatially-varied data for subsequent precision agricultural operations. Agricultural remote sensing data, as general remote sensing data, have all characteristics of big data. The acquisition, processing, storage, analysis and visualization of agricultural remote sensing big data are critical to the success of precision agriculture. This paper overviews available remote sensing data resources, recent development of technologies for remote sensing big data management, and remote sensing data processing and management for precision agriculture. A five-layer-fifteenlevel(FLFL) satellite remote sensing data management structure is described and adapted to create a more appropriate four-layer-twelve-level(FLTL) remote sensing data management structure for management and applications of agricultural remote sensing big data for precision agriculture where the sensors are typically on high-resolution satellites, manned aircrafts, unmanned aerial vehicles and ground-based structures. | 9 | Dynamic State Estimation for Integrated Electricity-gas Systems Based on Kalman Filter显示文摘In recent years, integrated electricity-gas systems(IEGSs) have attracted widespread attention. The unifiedscheduling and control of the IEGS depends on high-precisionoperating data. To this end, it is necessary to establish anappropriate state estimation (SE) model for IEGS to filter theraw measured data. Considering that power systems and naturalgas systems have different time scales and sampling periods, thispaper proposes a dynamic state estimation (DSE) method basedon a Kalman filter that can consider the dynamic characteristicsof natural gas pipelines. First, the standardized state transitionequations for the gas system are developed by applying the finitedifference method to the partial differential equations (PDEs) ofthe gas system;then the DSE model for IEGS is formulatedbased on a Kalman filter;also, the measurements from theelectricity system and the gas system with different samplingperiods are fused to ensure the observability of DSE by using theinterpolation method. | 10 | Data-driven Robust State Estimation Through Off-line Learning and On-line Matching显示文摘To overcome the shortcomings of model-driven state estimation methods, this paper proposes a data-driven robust state estimation (DDSE) method through off-line learning and on-line matching. At the off-line learning stage, a linear regression equation is presented by clustering historical data from supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA), which provides a guarantee for solving the over-learning problem of the existing DDSE methods;then a novel robust state estimation method that can be transformed into quadratic programming (QP) models is proposed to obtain the mapping relationship between the measurements and the state variables (MRBMS). The proposed QP models can well solve the problem of collinearity in historical data. Furthermore, the off-line learning stage is greatly accelerated from three aspects including reducing historical categories, constructing tree retrieval structure for known topologies, and using sensitivity analysis when solving QP models. At the on-line matching stage, by quickly matching the current snapshot with the historical ones, the corresponding MRBMS can be obtained, and then the estimation values of the state variables can be obtained. | 11 | Direct generation of watt-level yellow Dy^(3+)-doped fiber laser显示文摘Yellow lasers(∼565–590 nm)are of tremendous interest in biomedicine,astronomy,spectroscopy,and display technology.So far,yellow lasers still have relied heavily on nonlinear frequency conversion of near-infrared lasers,precluding compact and low-cost yellow laser systems.Here,we address the challenge through demonstrating,for the first time,to the best of our knowledge,watt-level high-power yellow laser generation directly from a compact fiber laser.The yellow fiber laser simply consists of a Dy^(3+)-doped ZBLAN fiber as gain medium,a fiber end-facet mirror with high reflectivity at yellow and a 450-nm diode laser as the pump source.We comprehensively investigated the dependence of the yellow laser performance on the output coupler reflectivity and the gain fiber length and demonstrated that the yellow fiber laser with an output coupler reflectivity of 4% and a gain fiber length of∼1.8 m yields a maximum efficiency of 33.6%.A maximum output power of 1.12 W at 575 nm was achieved at a pump power of 4.20 W.This work demonstrated the power scaling of yellow Dy^(3+)-doped ZBLAN fiber lasers,showing their promise for applications in ophthalmology,astronomical exploration,and high-resolution spectroscopy. | Jinhai Zou Tianran Li Yanbo Dou Jin Li Nan Chen Yikun Bu Zhengqian Luo | 2021 | Photonics Research2021,9,4: | 5 |

| 15 | A Teosinte-derived Allele of a MYB Transcription Repressor Confers Multiple Disease Resistance in Maize.显示文摘Natural alleles controlling multiple disease resistances (MDR) are valuable for crop breeding. However, only one MDR gene have been cloned in maize, and molecular mechanisms of MDR are not clear. By map-based cloning, we have cloned a teosinte-derived allele of a resistance gene, Mexicana lesion mimic 1 (ZmMM1), which has a lesion mimic phenotype and confers resistance to northern leaf blight (NLB), gray leaf spot (GLS) and southern corn rust (SCR). Strong MDR conferred by the teosinte allele is linked with the polymorphisms in the 3' untranslated region of the ZmMM1 gene that cause increased accumulation of ZmMM1 protein. ZmMM1 acts as a transcription repressor and negatively regulates transcription of specific target genes including ZmMM1-target gene 3 (ZmMT3), which functions as a negative regulator of plant immunity and associated cell death. | 20 | Revealing Spatial Spillover Effect in High-Tech Industry Agglomeration from a High-Skilled Labor Flow Network Perspective显示文摘Understanding the high-tech industrial agglomeration from a spatial-spillover perspective is essential for cities to gain economic and technological competitive advantages.Along with rapid urbanization and the development of fast transportation networks,socioeconomic interactions between cities have been ever-increasing,traditional spatial metrics are not enough to describe actual inter-city connections.High-skilled labor flow between cities strongly influences the high-tech industrial agglomeration,yet receives less attention.By exploiting unique large-scale datasets and tools from complex network and data mining,the authors construct an inter-city high-skilled labor flow network,which was integrated into spatial econometric models.The regression results indicate that spatial-spillover effects exist in the development of high-tech industries in the Yangtze River Delta Urban Agglomeration region.Moreover,the spatial-spillover effects are stronger among cities with a higher volume of high-skilled labor flows than among cities with just stronger geographic connections.Additionally,the authors investigate the channels for the spillover effects and discover that inadequate local government expenses on science and technology likely hamper the high-tech industrial agglomeration,so does the inadequate local educational provision.The increasing foreign direct investments in one city likely encourages the high-tech industrial agglomeration in other cities because of the policy inertia toward traditional industries. | WANG Chen WANG Lu XUE Yanbo LI Ruiqi | 2022 | Journal of Systems Science & Complexity2022,35,3: | 2 |
