1Post-Synthetic and In Situ Vacancy Repairing of Iron Hexacyanoferrate Toward Highly Stable Cathodes for Sodium-Ion Batteries显示文摘Iron hexacyanoferrate(FeHCF)is a promising cathode material for sodium-ion batteries.However,FeHCF always suffers from a poor cycling stability,which is closely related to the abundant vacancy defects in its framework.Herein,post-synthetic and in-situ vacancy repairing strategies are proposed for the synthesis of highquality FeHCF in a highly concentrated Na_(4)Fe(CN)_(6) solution.Both the post-synthetic and in-situ vacancy repaired FeHCF products(FeHCF-P and FeHCF-I)show the significant decrease in the number of vacancy defects and the reinforced structure,which can suppress the side reactions and activate the capacity from low-spin Fe in FeHCF.In particular,FeHCF-P delivers a reversible discharge capacity of 131 mAh g^(−1) at 1 C and remains 109 mAh g^(−1) after 500 cycles,with a capacity retention of 83%.FeHCF-I can deliver a high discharge capacity of 158.5 mAh g^(−1) at 1 C.Even at 10 C,the FeHCF-I electrode still maintains a discharge specific capacity of 103 mAh g^(−1) and retains 75% after 800 cycles.This work provides a new vacancy repairing strategy for the solution synthesis of high-quality FeHCF.Min Wan Rui Zeng Jingtao Meng Zexiao Cheng Weilun Chen Jiayu Peng Wuxing Zhang Yunhui Huang 2022Nano-Micro Letters2022,14,1:3
2Si/Cu3_Si@C Composite Encapsulated in CNTs Network as High Performance Anode for Lithium Ion Batteries显示文摘Si/Cu3Si@C composites encapsulated in CNTs network(SCC-CNTs) were synthesized via the combination of ball-milling and CVD methods. SCC-CNTs consist of conductive Cu3Si, amorphous carbon layer, cross-linked CNTs, and the etched pores, which can play the synergistic effects on the improvement of electronic conductivity and Li^+ diffusion. The volume expansion of Si anode is also suppressed during the electrochemical process. The SCC-CNTs composites demonstrate a remarkably improved electrochemical performance compared with pure Si, which can deliver a discharge capacity of 2 171 mAh·g^-1 at 0.4 A·g^-1 with ICE of 85.2%, and retain 1197 mAh· g^-1 after 150 cycles. 3Multi-scale mechanotransduction of the poroelastic signals from osteon to osteocyte in bone tissue显示文摘In order to quantify the poroelastic mechanical signals conduction and evaluate the biomechanical effectiveness of functional units(osteocyte processes,canaliculi and lacuna)in lacunar-canalicular system(LCS),a multiscale poroelastic finite element model was established by using the Comsol Multiphysics software.The poroelastic mechanical signals(pore pressure,fluid velocity,von-Mises stress,strain)were analyzed inside the osteon-osteocyte system.The effects of osteocyte(OCY)’s shape(ellipse and circle),long axis directions(horizontal and vertical)and mechanical properties(Elastic modulus and permeability)on its poroelastic responses were examined.It is found that the OCY processes is the best mechanosensor compared with the OCY body,lacunae and canaliculi.The mechanotransduction ability of the elliptic shaped OCY is stronger than that of circular shaped.The pore pressure and flow velocity around OCYs increase as the elastic modulus and permeability of OCY increase.The established model can be used for studying the mechanism of bone mechanotransduction at the multiscale level.Xiaogang Wu Chaoxin Li Kuijun Chen Yuqin Sun Weilun Yu Meizhen Zhang Yanqin Wang Yixian Qin Weiyi Chen 2020Acta Mechanica Sinica2020,36,4:2

5Facile synthesis of Li2S@C composites as cathode for Li–S batteries显示文摘Lithium sulfide (Li2S) provides a promising route for lithium storage due to high theoretical specific capacity (1166 mAh g-1). The electrochemical performance of Li2S can be significantly enhanced by forming Li2S-carbon composites with the introduction of carbon. However, the complex synthesis method of Li2S-carbon composites restrains the large-scale productivity. Herein, we propose a facile route to prepare carbon coated Li2S-carbon nanotube composites (Li2S@C-CNT) via spray drying and heat treatment, which is a low-cost and large-scale method for facile synthesis of Li2S-carbon composites. For the Li2S@C-CNT composites, Li2S nanoparticles are contacted with surrounding particles due to the 3D CNTs framework. The novel construction not only suppresses the diffusion of polysulfides during cycling, but also remarkably accelerates the transport of electron and ion, resulting in a high specific capacity (1100 mAh g^-1) and good cycling performance. 6Proteomic and metabolomic analyses provide insight into the off-flavour of fruits from citrus trees infected with‘Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus’显示文摘Orange fruit from trees infected by‘Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus’(CaLas)often do not look fully mature and exhibit off-flavours described as bitter,harsh,and metallic rather than juicy and fruity.Although previous studies have been carried out to understand the effect of CaLas on the flavour of orange juice using metabolomic methods,the mechanisms leading to the off-flavour that occurs in Huanglongbing(HLB)-symptomatic fruit are not well understood.In this study,fruits were collected from symptomatic and healthy Valencia sweet orange(Citrus sinensis)trees grafted on Swingle(C.paradisi X Poncirus trifoliata)rootstock.Isobaric tags for relative and absolute quantification(iTRAQ)and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS)were used to measure the proteins,sugars,organic acids,amino acids,and volatile terpenoids.The results showed that most of the differentially expressed proteins involved in glycolysis,the tricarboxylic acid(TCA)cycle and amino-acid biosynthesis were degraded,and terpenoid metabolism was significantly downregulated in the symptomatic fruit.Valencene,limonene,3-carene,linalool,myrcene,andα-terpineol levels were significantly lower in fruit from CaLas-infected trees than from healthy trees.Similar phenomena were observed for sucrose and glucose.Our study indicated that off-flavour of symptomatic fruit was associated with a reduction in the levels of terpenoid products and the downregulation of proteins in glycolysis,the TCA cycle,and the terpenoid biosynthesis pathway.Lixiao Yao Qibin Yu Ming Huang Weilun Hung Jude Grosser Shanchun Chen Yu Wang Frederick G.GmitterJr. 2019Horticulture Research2019,6,1:1

12Single-base editing in IGF2 improves meat production and intramuscular fat deposition in Liang Guang Small Spotted pigs显示文摘Background Chinese indigenous pigs are popular with consumers for their juiciness,flavour and meat quality,but they have lower meat production.Insulin-like growth factor 2(IGF2) is a maternally imprinted growth factor that promotes skeletal muscle growth by regulating cell proliferation and differentiation.A single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP) within intron 3 of porcine IGF2 disrupts a binding site for the repressor,zinc finger BED-type containing 6(ZBED6),leading to up-regulation of IGF2 and causing major effects on muscle growth,heart size,and backfat thickness.This favorable mutation is common in Western commercial pig populations,but absent in most Chinese indigenous pig breeds.To improve meat production of Chinese indigenous pigs,we used cytosine base editor 3(CBE3)to introduce IGF2 intron3-C3071T mutation into porcine embryonic fibroblasts(PEFs) isolated from a male Liang Guang Small Spotted pig(LGSS),and single-cell clones harboring the desired mutation were selected for somatic cell nuclear transfer(SCNT) to generate the founder line of IGF2^(T/T) pigs.Results We found the heterozygous progeny IGF2^(C/T) pigs exhibited enhanced expression of IGF2,increased lean meat by 18%-36%,enlarged loin muscle area by 3%-17%,improved intramuscular fat(IMF) content by 18%-39%,marbling score by 0.75-1,meat color score by 0.53-1.25,and reduced backfat thickness by 5%-16%.The enhanced accumulation of intramuscular fat in IGF2^(C/T) pigs was identified to be regulated by the PI3K-AKT/AMPK pathway,which activated SREBP1 to promote adipogenesis.Conclusions We demonstrated the introduction of IGF2-intron3-C3071T in Chinese LGSS can improve both meat production and quality,and first identified the regulation of IMF deposition by IGF2 through SREBP1 via the PI3KAKT/AMPK signaling pathways.Our study provides a further understanding of the biological functions of IGF2and an example for improving porcine economic traits through precise base editing.Tianqi Duo Xiaohong Liu Delin Mo Yu Bian Shufang Cai Min Wang Ruiqiang Li Qi Zhu Xian Tong Ziyun Liang Weilun Jiang Shiyi Chen Yaosheng Chen Zuyong He 2024Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2024,15,1:0
13Neuroprotective effects of low-concentration alpha-tocopherol Confocal laser microscopy observations显示文摘BACKGROUND:Alpha-tocopherol(α-tocopherol) can effectively relieve neuronal damage induced by oxygen-centered free radicals.However,the effective dose remains controversial. OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the protective effects of low-concentrationα-tocopherol on neuronal membranes. DESIGN,TIME AND SETTING:Contrast observation and in vitro study,performed at Laboratory of Neurosurgery,Tianjin Huanhu Hospital between April and September 2006. MATERIALS:Fetal cortical neurons were derived from two 14-day pregnant SD rats,andα-tocopherol was provided by Sigma,USA. METHODS:The neurons were randomly assigned to six groups:(1) normal:neurons were cultured under normal conditions;(2) oxidative damage:oxidative free radicals was damaged using the Fenton reaction;(3)α-tocopherol:neurons were cultured in different concentrations ofα-tocopherol 10,20,40,and 80 mg/L for 2 hours,respectively. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:Neuronal membrane damage was observed using a confocal laser microscope,and malonaldehyde production was detected using the thiobarbituric acid method. RESULTS:At normal,biological concentrations(10 mg/L),α-tocopherol induced no change in the damaged neurons(P>0.05).However,at a concentration of 80 mg/L,the number of damaged neurons was significantly reduced,compared with the damage group(P<0.05). Malonaldehyde levels following 80 mg/Lα-tocopherol treatment were less than the oxygen free radical damage group(P<0.05),but greater than the control group(P<0.01).
