| 3 | Regional and Global Land Data Assimilation Systems: Innovations,Challenges, and Prospects显示文摘Since the North American and Global Land Data Assimilation Systems(NLDAS and GLDAS) were established in2004, significant progress has been made in development of regional and global LDASs. National, regional, projectbased, and global LDASs are widely developed across the world. This paper summarizes and overviews the development, current status, applications, challenges, and future prospects of these LDASs. We first introduce various regional and global LDASs including their development history and innovations, and then discuss the evaluation, validation, and applications(from numerical model prediction to water resources management) of these LDASs. More importantly, we document in detail some specific challenges that the LDASs are facing: quality of the in-situ observations, satellite retrievals, reanalysis data, surface meteorological forcing data, and soil and vegetation databases; land surface model physical process treatment and parameter calibration; land data assimilation difficulties; and spatial scale incompatibility problems. | 5 | All VN-graphene architecture derived self-powered wearable sensors for ultrasensitive health monitoring显示文摘The booming of wearable electronics has nourished the progress on developing multifunctional energy storage systems with versatile flexibility, which enable the continuous and steady power supply even under various deformed states. In this sense, the synergy of flexible energy and electronic devices to construct integrative wearable microsystems is meaningful but remains quite challenging by far. Herein, we devise an innovative supercapacitor/sensor integrative wearable device that is based upon our designed vanadium nitride-graphene (VN-G) architectures. Flexible quasi-solid-state VN-G supercapacitor with ultralight and binder-free features deliver a specific capacitance of^53 F·g^-1 with good cycle stability. On the other hand, VN-G derived pressure sensors fabricated throughout a spray-printing process also manifest favorably high sensitivity (40 kPa^-1 at the range of 2-10 kPa), fast response time (~130 ms), perfect skin conformability, and outstanding stability under static and dynamic pressure conditions. | 7 | NF-κB and FosB mediate inflammation and oxidative stress in the blast lung injury of rats exposed to shock waves显示文摘Blast lung injury(BLI)is the major cause of death in explosion-derived shock waves;however,the mechanisms of BLI are not well understood.To identify the time-dependent manner of BLI,a model of lung injury of rats induced by shock waves was established by a fuel air explosive.The model was evaluated by hematoxylin and eosin staining and pathological score.The inflammation and oxidative stress of lung injury were also investigated.The pathological scores of rats’lung injury at 2 h,24 h,3 days,and 7 days post-blast were 9.75±2.96,13.00±1.85,8.50±1.51,and 4.00±1.41,respectively,which were significantly increased compared with those in the control group(1.13±0.64;P<0.05).The respiratory frequency and pause were increased significantly,while minute expiratory volume,inspiratory time,and inspiratory peak flow rate were decreased in a time-dependent manner at 2 and 24 h post-blast compared with those in the control group.In addition,the expressions of inflammatory factors such as interleukin(IL)-6,IL-8,FosB,and NF-κB were increased significantly at 2 h and peaked at 24 h,which gradually decreased after 3 days and returned to normal in 2 weeks.The levels of total antioxidant capacity,total superoxide dismutase,and glutathione peroxidase were significantly decreased 24 h after the shock wave blast.Conversely,the malondialdehyde level reached the peak at 24 h.These results indicated that inflammatory and oxidative stress induced by shock waves changed significantly in a time-dependent manner,which may be the important factors and novel therapeutic targets for the treatment of BLI. | Hong Wang Wenjuan Zhang Jinren Liu Junhong Gao Le Fang Zhiyong Liu Baoqing Xia Xiaolin Fan Cunzhi Li Qing Lu Airong Qian | 2021 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2021,53,3: | 4 |
| 8 | Genetic Variation Analysis, Correlation Analysis and Principal Component Analysis on Agronomic Traits of Summer Sowing Soybean (Glycine max Merr.) in Huang-Huai-Hai Region显示文摘Genetic variation analysis, correlation analysis and principal component analysis were conducted to investigate the relationship between 12 yield-related agronomic traits of 87 summer sowing soybean cultivars in Huang-Huai-Hai region. According to the experimental results, effective branch number showed the maximum variation coefficient and growth duration showed the minimum variation coefficient. The variation coefficient of bottom pod height, pod number per plant, grain number per plant, grain weight per plant and 100-grain weight of semi-determinate summer sowing soybean ranged between 18.38%-27.56. The variation coefficient of plant height, bottom pod height, pod number per plant, grain number per plant and grain weight per plant of determinate summer sowing soybean ranged from 21.02% to 8.04%. In semi-determinate summer sowing soybean, yield showed extremely significantly positive correlation with grain number per pod, grain weight per plant and 100-grain weight, but extremely significantly negative correlation with effective branch number and significantly negative correlation with growth duration. In determinate summer sowing soybean, yield showed extremely significantly positive correlation with stem diameter but significantly positive correlation with bottom pod height, while it showed no significant correlation with other agronomic traits. Principal component analysis of yield-related agronomic traits showed that cumulative contribution rates of the former four principal components to the variation of semi-determinate and determinate summer sowing soybean were 79.92% and 79.50%, respectively. Agronomic traits with the greatest variation should be selected first. Semi-determinate and determinate summer sowing soybean individuals in Huang-Huai-Hai region should be selected according to different podding habits. | 9 | Immune responses of a designed HIV-1 DNA vaccine on rhesus monkeys显示文摘An effective HIV-1 vaccine will be the ultimate solution for the prevention of HIV/AIDS, though HAART plays important roles in treating the disease. In this study, a large-scale recombinant DNA plasmid containing a designed HIV-1 multi-epitope- p24 chimeric gene was prepared and purified. Rhesus monkeys were then inoculated muscularly with the plasmid for four times in week 0, 4, 8 and 18. Whole blood was collected two weeks after the third and fourth inoculation, followed by serum and pe- ripheral blood mononuclear cell (PBMC) separation. The CTL activity and proliferation of PBMCs stimu- lated by macaque MHC-I-restricted HIV-1 CTL epi- tope peptide were analyzed by MTT and LDH release assay, respectively. Th1 cytokines in supernatant of cultured PBMC stimulated by HIV-1 CTL epitope peptide and anti-HIV-1 antibody in serum were as- sayed by ELISA. The results showed that increased CTL target-killing activity, higher secretion of Th1 cytokines (IFN-γ and IL-2) and promoted proliferative reaction of monkey PBMCs stimulated by HIV-1 CTL epitope peptide were detected in the immunization group inoculated by the recombinant DNA vaccine for three times, which were further enhanced by the fourth inoculation. At the same time, HIV-1 specific antibody in serum of immunized monkeys was higher than that in controls.
