Stenting for symptomatic intracranial arterial stenosis in China:1-year outcome of a multicentre registry study显示文摘background and purpose A multicentre prospective registry study of individually tailored stenting for a patient with symptomatic intracranial atherosclerotic stenosis(ICAS)combined with poor collaterals in China showed that the short-term safety and efficacy of stenting was acceptable. However,it remained uncertain whether the low event rate could be of a long term.We reported the 1-year outcome of this registry study to evaluate the long-term efficacy of individually tailored stenting for patients with severe symptomatic ICAS combined with poor collaterals. Methods Patients with symptomatic ICAS caused by 70%-99% stenosis located at the intracranial internal carotid, middle cerebral, intracranial vertebral or basilar arteries combined with poor collaterals were enrolled.Balloon-mounted stent or balloon plus self-expanding stent were selected based on the ease of vascular access and lesion morphology determined by the operators. The primary outcome was the rate of 30-day stroke, transient ischaemic attack and death, and 12-month ischaemic stroke within the same vascular territory, haemorrhagic stroke and vascular death after stenting.results From September 2013 to January 2015,300 patients(ages 58.3±9.78 years)were recruited.Among them,159 patients were treated with balloon-mounted stent and 141 with balloon plus self-expanding stent.During the 1-year follow-up,25 patients had a primary end point event. The probability of primary outcome at 1 year was 8.1%(95% CI 5.3% to 11.7%).In 76 patients with digital subtraction angiography follow-up,27.6%(21/76)had re-stenosis≥50% and 18.4%(14/76)had re-stenosis≥70%.No baseline characteristic was associated with the primary outcome. Conclusion The event rate remains low over 1 year of individually tailored stenting for patients with severe symptomatic ICAS combined with poor collaterals.Further randomised trial of comparing individually tailored stenting with best medical therapy is needed. | Ning Ma Yong Zhang Jie Shuai Changchun Jiang Qiyi Zhu Kangning Chen Li Liu Baomin Li Xiangqun Shi Lianbo Gao Yajie Liu Feng Wang Yongli Li Tieyan Liu Hongbo Zheng Dapeng Mo Feng Gao Yilong Wang Yongjun Wang Lei Feng Zhongrong Miao | 2018 | Stroke & Vascular Neurology2018,3,3: | 29
Plant immune signaling: Advancing on two frontiers显示文摘Plants have evolved multiple defense strategies to cope with pathogens, among which plant immune signaling that relies on cell-surface localized and intracellular receptors takes fundamental roles. Exciting breakthroughs were made recently on the signaling mechanisms of pattern recognition receptors(PRRs) and intracellular nucleotide-binding site(NBS) and leucine-rich repeat(LRR)domain receptors(NLRs). This review summarizes the current view of PRRs activation, emphasizing the most recent discoveries about PRRs’ dynamic regulation and signaling mechanisms directly leading to downstream molecular events including mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK) activation and calcium(Ca2+) burst. Plants also have evolved intracellular NLRs to perceive the presence of specific pathogen effectors and trigger more robust immune responses. We also discuss the current understanding of the mechanisms of NLR activation, which has been greatly advanced by recent breakthroughs including structures of the first full-length plant NLR complex, findings of NLR sensor-helper pairs and novel biochemical activity of Toll/interleukin-1 receptor(TIR) domain. | Wei Wang Baomin Feng Jian-Min Zhou Dingzhong Tang | 2020 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2020,62,1: | 11
INTERVENTIONAI DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT OF VASCULOGENEIC PULSATILE TINNITUS显示文摘Objective To retrospectively study clinical features and diagnostic imaging of vasculogeneic pulsatile tinnitus, and the feasibility and efficacy of transvascular interventional treatment for this condition. Methods Data from 82 cases of arterial or venous pulsatile tinnitus were reviewed. DSA characteristics and possible pathophysiological mechanisms of pulsatile tinnitus in these cases were studied. Diagnoses in this group included intracranial arterovenous fistula(AVF)(n=3), spontaneous skull base dural AVF(n=16), traumatic carotid-cavernous sinus fistula(n=5), subclavian artery stenosis(n=2), internal carotid artery stenosis(n=3), intracranial arterial stenosis(n=1), kinked and/or elongated vertebrobasilar artery(n=2), venous sinus diverticulum(n=2), venous sinus stenosis on the dominant drainage side(n=46) and occipital sinus stenosis(n=2).Treatments included embolization and stenting using coils, NBCA glue, Balt balloons, self-expansion stents and intracranial micro-stents via either the femoral artery or femoral vein. Results Procedures were successful in all cases with no surgery-related complications. Tinnitus disappeared within 2 days after the procedure in all cases. Follow up duration was 5-36 months. Recurrence occurred in 4 cases of arterial tinnitus within 3 months following the initial procedure, which improved after revision embolization or symptom management. There was no recurrence in venous tinnitus cases following stent plastic or stent-coiling embolization treatments. Conclusions Endovascular intervention provides a new approach to the diagnosis and treatment of intractable pulsatile tinnitus. It is also effective in differentiating and studying other types of tinnitus. | LI Baomin CAO Xiangyu LIU Xinfeng LI Sheng WANG Jun LIANG Yongping GE Aili ZHANG Alan FENG Huimin | 2014 | Journal of Otology2014,9,1: | 6
Analysis of the Arabidopsis Floral Proteome:Detection of over 2000 Proteins and Evidence for Posttranslational Modifications显示文摘The proteome of the Arabidopsis flower has not been extensively studied previously. Here, we report a proteomic analysis of the wild type Arabidopsis flower. Using both two-dimensional electrophoresis/mass spectrometry (2-DGE/MS) and multi-dimensional protein identification technology (MudPIT) approaches, we identified 2 446 proteins. Although a single experiment or analysis uncovered only a subset of the proteins we identified, a combination of multiple experiments and analyses facilitated the detection of a greater number of proteins. When proteins are grouped according to RNA expression levels revealed by microarray experiments, we found that proteins encoded by genes with relatively high levels of expression were detected with greater frequencies. On the other hand, at the level of the individual gene/protein, there was not a good correlation between protein spot intensity and microarray values. We also obtained strong evidence for post-translational modification from 2-DGE and MudPIT data. We detected proteins that are annotated to function in protein synthesis, folding, modification, and degradation, as well as the presence of regulatory proteins such as transcription factors and protein kinases. Finally, sequence and evolutionary analysis of genes for active methyl group metabolisms suggests that these genes are highly conserved. Our results allow the formulation of hypotheses regarding post-translational regulation of proteins in the flower, providing new understanding about Arabidopsis flower development and physiology. | Baomin Feng Lianchao Li Xiaofan Zhou Bruce Stanley Hong Ma | 2009 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2009,51,2: | 2

Crystallization Regulation and Morphological Evolution for HTM-free Tin-Lead (1.28eV) Alloyed Perovskite Solar Cells显示文摘There have been huge achievements of all-perovskite tandem solar cells, which recently realized the highest power conversion efficiency of 24.8%.However,the complex device structure and complicated manufacture processes severely restrict the further development of all-perovskite tandem solar cells. In this work,we successfully fabricated high-efficiency hole transport material-free(HTM-free)Sn−Pb alloyed narrow bandgap perovskite solar cells(PSCs)by introducing guanidinium thiocyanate(GASCN)and hydroiodic acid(HI)into the perovskite precursor solution.GASCN and HI play a positive synergy effect during perovskite crystallization process resulting in larger grain size, fewer surface defects, and lower trap density to suppress the Sn^(2+)oxidation degradation.Furthermore, they could effectively adjust the energy level of perovskite materials, reduce the energy level difference between perovskite and ITO resulting in more efficiently transport of free hole charge carriers. As a result, with adding GASCN and HI,the achieved highest power conversion efficiency of HTM-free devices increased from 12.58%to 17.85%,which is one of the highest PCEs among all values reported to date for the HTM-free narrow-bandgap(1.2-1.4 eV)Sn−Pb binary PSCs.Moreover, the optimized device shows improved environmental stability. Our additive strategy manifests a remarkable step towards the facile,cost-efficient fabrication of HTM-free perovskite-based tandem solar cells with both high efficiency and simple fabrication process. | Hang Hu Xianyong Zhou Jiabang Chen Deng Wang Dongyang Li Yulan Huang Luozheng Zhang Yuanjun Peng Feng Wang Jingxia Huang Naichao Chen Liang Sun Xuesong Liu Xingzhu Wang Jianyong Ouyang Baomin Xu | 2023 | Energy & Environmental Materials2023,6,2: | 0
Mechanism of plant immune activation and signaling: Insight from the first solved plant resistosome structure显示文摘Life or death? It’s a question animal and plant cells ask themselves during development and throughout their lives–and when they choose the latter option, cells can execute a genetically programmed set of cellular functions that result in cell death. In animals and plants, the execution of programmed cell death is critical for proper development and for immunity against invading microbes. | Baomin Feng Dingzhong Tang | 2019 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2019,61,8: | 0
Robust chattering-free sliding mode control of space robot in task space显示文摘This paper studies the tracking control problem of a free-floating space robot in a task space. Considering the model uncertainties and external disturbance, a robust sliding mode controller is proposed using the Lyapunov direct method and dissipative theory. To eliminate the chattering phenomenon, an radial basis function (RBF) neural network is applied to replace the discontinuous part of the control signal. A novel on-line learning method of the weights and parameters of the RBF neural network established using Lyapunov function assures the stability of the system. It is proved that the proposed controller can guarantee that the L2 gain from disturbance to tracking error is lower than the given index γ. Simulation results show that the control method is valid. | Baomin FENG Guangcheng MA Qiyong WEN Changhong WANG | 2008 | 控制理论与应用(英文版)2008,6,2: | 0
A laser synthesis of vanadium oxide bonded graphene for high-rate supercapacitors显示文摘Graphene is a type of promising electrode material for high-energy and high-power density supercapacitors, but its electrochemical performance is greatly limited by the restacking problem. In this work,we reported a facile approach to synthesis graphene with chemically bonded vanadium oxide(VOx)nanoparticles and demonstrated that chemically-bonded VOxnanoparticles can effectively prevent the graphene sheets from restacking and hence improve the electrochemical performance. The capacitance of VOxbonded graphene increases to 272 F/g compared to 183 F/g of pristine graphene in 1 M H3PO4 aqueous electrolyte at 2 A/g.The VOx-bonded graphene also showed improved rate capability in both H3PO4 and ionic liquid electrolytes. The capacitance retention increases to 54.5%from 28.5%at 100 A/g(compare to2 A/g)in H3PO4 and increases to 65.1%from 46.3%at 2 A/g(compare to 0.2 A/g)in neat ionic liquid.A high energy density of 84.4 Wh/kg is obtained within the voltage window of 4 V in ionic liquid.Even at a high-power density of 1000 W/kg,the VOx-bonded graphene shows a high energy density of 47.3 Wh/kg. | Jun Tang Linfei Zhang Xiongwei Zhong Xinghui Wang Feng Pan Baomin Xu | 2020 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2020,29,10: | 0
