2Rule-based Fault Diagnosis of Hall Sensors and Fault-tolerant Control of PMSM显示文摘Hall sensor is widely used for estimating rotor phase of permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM). And rotor position is an essential parameter of PMSM control algorithm, hence it is very dangerous if Hall senor faults occur. But there is scarcely any research focusing on fault diagnosis and fault-tolerant control of Hall sensor used in PMSM. From this standpoint, the Hall sensor faults which may occur during the PMSM operating are theoretically analyzed. According to the analysis results, the fault diagnosis algorithm of Hall sensor, which is based on three rules, is proposed to classify the fault phenomena accurately. The rotor phase estimation algorithms, based on one or two Hall sensor(s), are initialized to engender the fault-tolerant control algorithm. The fault diagnosis algorithm can detect 60 Hall fault phenomena in total as well as all detections can be fulfilled in 1/138 rotor rotation period. The fault-tolerant control algorithm can achieve a smooth torque production which means the same control effect as normal control mode (with three Hall sensors). Finally, the PMSM bench test verifies the accuracy and rapidity of fault diagnosis and fault-tolerant control strategies. The fault diagnosis algorithm can detect all Hall sensor faults promptly and fault-tolerant control algorithm allows the PMSM to face failure conditions of one or two Hall sensor(s). In addition, the transitions between health-control and fault-tolerant control conditions are smooth without any additional noise and harshness. 5DUCTILEBRITTLETRANSITION OF POLYCRYSTALLINE Ni_3Al WITH VARYING GRAIN SIZE显示文摘It is known that in B (un)doped Ni 3Al polycrystals, the dependence of yield strength on grain size follows the Hall Petch relationship: σ y= σ 0+ K y d -1/2 , and the slope K y can be reduced by B doping owing to the lowering of grain boundary resistance to slip transmission. If the intergranular cracking in polycrystalline Ni 3Al occurs from the microcavity along the grain boundaries, the effective external tensile stress for the propagation of the crack like microcavity along the grain boundaries can be deduced as: σ f= σ i+ K u d -1/2 , where K u reflects the effects of such factors as environment, strain rate, boron doping and the orientation of the grain boundary on the trend of intergranular cracking. For loaded polycrystalline Ni 3Al, it should be competitive between the intergranular cracking and slip transmission across the grain boundary. Therefore, comparing the varieties of both σ y and σ f with grain size, the dependence of ductile brittle transition on grain size, and the effects of the above factors on ductile brittle transition can be expected. The model also predicts that there exists a critical grain size for the ductile brittle transition of polycrystalline Ni 3Al alloys, and B doping can increase the critical grain size due to the reduction of the slope K y and the increase of K u. 8Roles of initial current carrier in the distribution of field-aligned current in 3-D Hall MHD simulations显示文摘A three-dimensional (3-D) Hall MHD simulation is carried out to study the roles of initial current carrier in the topology of magnetic field, the generation and distribu- tion of field aligned currents (FACs), and the appearance of Alfvén waves. Consid- ering the contribution of ions to the initial current, the topology of the obtained magnetic field turns to be more complex. In some cases, it is found that not only the traditional By quadrupole structure but also a reversal By quadrupole structure appears in the simulation box. This can explain the observational features near the diffusion region, which are inconsistent with the Hall MHD theory with the total ini- tial current carried by electrons. Several other interesting features are also emerged. First, motions of electrons and ions are decoupled from each other in the small plasma region (Hall effect region) with a scale less than or comparable with the ion inertial length or ion skin depth di=c/ωp. In the non-Hall effect region, the global magnetic structure is shifted in +y direction under the influence of ions with initial y directional motion. However, in the Hall effect region, magnetic field lines are bent in ?y direction, mainly controlled by the motion of electrons, then By is generated. Second, FACs emerge as a result of the appearance of By. Compared with the prior Hall MHD simulation results, the generated FACs shift in +y direction, and hence the dawn-dusk symmetry is broken. 10Structural stability improvement, Williamson Hall analysis and band-gap tailoring through A-site Sr doping in rare earth based double perovskite La2NiMnO6显示文摘The structural,morphological and optical properties of single-phase polycrystalline La2-xSrxNiMnO6(x=0,0.3 and 0.5),synthesized by solid state reaction were investigated.The samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM)/energy dispersive analysis of X-rays(EDAX),Raman spectroscopy and diffuse reflectance spectroscopy(DRS)to elucidate the role of A-site Sr-doping in double perovskite La2 NiMnO6.Rietveld analysis of XRD patterns revealed that all the samples have monoclinic structure with space group P21/n.Positive gradient in the Williamson Hall plots revealed the presence of tensile strain in all the samples.The morphological studies revealed that average grain size increases along with appreciable decrease in porosity with Sr doping.The Ni/Mn antisite disorder was introduced in the La2 NiMnO6 by Sr-doping confirmed by an increase in the full width at half maximum(FWHM)and decrease in intensity of the Raman modes at around 540 and 665 cm-1 which correspond to the antisymmetric stretching and symmetric stretching modes,respectively.DRS results reveal that the band gap in La2 NiMnO6 can be tuned down by Sr-doping to a value of1.37 eV(very close to 1.40 eV,considered as optimum value for better efficiency of a solar cell).Thus,Sr-doped La2 NiMnO6 may be of prime importance for applications in solar cells.Shah Aarif Ul Islam Mohd Ikram 2019Rare Metals2019,38,9:4
11Prediction of large-gap quantum spin hall insulator and Rashba-Dresselhaus effect in two-dimensional g-TIA (A = N, P, As, and Sb) monolayer films显示文摘A new family of two-dimensional (2D) topological insulators (TIs) comprising g-TIA (A = N, P, As, and Sb) monolayers constructed by T1 and group-V elements is predicted by first-principles calculations and molecular-dynamics (MD) simulations. The geometric stability, band inversion, nontrivial edge states, and electric polarity are investigated to predict the large-gap quantum spin Hall insulator and Rashba-Dresselhaus effects. The MD results reveal that the g-T1A monolayers remain stable even at room temperature. The g-T1A (A = As, Sb) monolayers become TIs under the influence of strong spin-orbit couplings with large bulk bandgaps of 131 and 268 meV, respectively. A single band inversion is observed in each g-T1A (A = As, Sb) monolayer, indicating a nontrivial topological nature. Furthermore, the topological edge states are described by introducing a sufficiently wide zigzag-nanoribbon. A Dirac point in the middle of the bulk gap connects the valence- and conduction-band edges. The Fermi velocity near the Dirac point with a linear band dispersion is -0.51 × 106 m/s, which is comparable to that of many other 2D nanomaterials. More importantly, owing to the broken inversion symmetry normal to the plane of the g-T1A films, a promising Rashba-Dresselhaus effect with the parameter up to 0.85 eV-A is observed in the g-T1A (A = As, Sb) monolayers. 12Inverse spin Hall effect in ITO/YIG exited by spin pumping and spin Seebeck experiments显示文摘Spin currents, which are excited in indium tin oxide(ITO)/yttrium iron garnet(YIG) by the methods of spin pumping and spin Seebeck effect, are investigated through the inverse spin Hall effect(ISHE). It is demonstrated that the ISHE voltage can be generated in ITO by spin pumping under both in-plane and out-of-plane magnetization configurations.Moreover, it is observed that the enhancement of spin Hall angle and interfacial spin mixing conductance can be achieved by an appropriate annealing process. However, the ISHE voltage is hardly seen in the presence of a longitudinal temperature gradient. 13Photonic spin Hall effect in PT symmetric metamaterials显示文摘We proposed and demonstrated that PT symmetric metamaterials could be used to achieve enhanced spin Hall effect(SHE)of light.We find that when laser mode is excited in PT symmetric system,the enhanced SHE could be obtained in both transmitted and reflected beams.In addition,as exceptional points(EPs)of PT symmetric system can happen for both p-and s-polarizations,the enhanced SHE of reflected light can function for both horizontally and vertically polarized incident beams.Particularly,these EPs can lead to unidirectional reflectionlessness,asymmetric SHE with maximum contrast ratio of 48 is obtained by launching light beams near EPs.Our work opens up a new path to obtain enhanced transverse displacement for both reflected and transmitted light and enables more opportunities in manipulating photonic SHE.Yang-Yang Fu Yue Fei Da-Xing Dong You-Wen Liu 2019Frontiers of physics2019,14,6:3

15The E×B drift instability in Hall thruster using 1D PIC/MCC simulation显示文摘The E×B drift instability is studied in Hall thruster using one-dimensional particle in cell(PIC)simulation method.By using the dispersion relation,it is found that unstable modes occur only in discrete bands in k space at cyclotron harmonics.The results indicate that the number of unstable modes increases by increasing the external electric field and decreases by increasing the radial magnetic field.The ion mass does not affect the instability wavelength.Furthermore,the results confirm that there is an instability with short wavelength and high frequency.Finally,it is shown that the electron and ion distribution functions deviate from the initial state and eventually the instability is saturated by ion trapping in the azimuthal direction.Also for light mass ion,the frequency and phase velocity are very high that could lead to high electron mobility in the axial direction.Zahra Asadi Mehdi Sharifian Mojtaba Hashemzadeh Mahmood Borhani Zarandi Hamidreza Ghomi Marzdashti 2020Chinese Physics B2020,29,2:2

17Quantum transport in topological semimetals under magnetic fields (Ⅱ)显示文摘We review our recent works on the quantum transport, mainly in topological semimetals and also in topological insulators, organized according to the strength of the magnetic field. At weak magnetic fields, we explain the negative magnetoresistance in topological semimetals and topological insulators by using the semiclassical equations of motion with the nontrivial Berry curvature. We show that the negative magnetoresistance can exist without the chiral anomaly. At strong magnetic fields, we establish theories for the quantum oscillations in topological Weyl, Dirac, and nodal-line semimetals. We propose a new mechanism of 3D quantum Hall effect, via the 'wormhole' tunneling through the Weyl orbit formed by the Fermi arcs and Weyl nodes in topological semimetals. In the quantum limit at extremely strong magnetic fields, we find that an unexpected Hall resistance reversal can be understood in terms of the Weyl fermion annihilation. Especially, the response of the conductivity with respect to electromagnetic fields corresponds to various nonlinear charge currents, which have distinct symmetry requirements and hence can be used as efficient probes of different systems. To help the band-structure engineering of such nonlinear currents, a universal treatment of electron dynamics up to second order expressed in the basis of the unperturbed states are highly useful. 19Tubular algebras and affine Kac-Moody algebras显示文摘The purpose of this paper is to construct quotient algebras L(A)1C/I(A) of complex degenerate composition Lie algebras L(A)1C by some ideals, where L(A)1C is defined via Hall algebras of tubular algebras A, and to prove that the quotient algebras L(A)1C/I(A) are isomorphic to the corresponding affine Kac-Moody algebras. 20A general and simple method for evaluating the electrical transport performance of graphene by the van der Pauw–Hall measurement显示文摘Expected for many promising applications in the field of electronics and optoelectronics, a reliable method for the characterization of graphene electrical transport properties is desired to predict its device performance or provide feedback for its synthesis.However, the commonly used methods of extracting carrier mobility from graphene field effect transistor or Hall-bar is time consuming, expensive, and significantly affected by the device fabrication process other than graphene itself.Here we reported a general and simple method to evaluate the electrical transport performance of graphene by the van der Pauw–Hall measurement.By annealing graphene in vacuum to remove the adsorbed dopants and then exposing it in ambient surroundings, carrier mobility as a function of density can be measured with the increase of carrier density due to the dopant re-adsorption from the surroundings.Further, the relationship between the carrier mobility and density can be simply fitted with a power equation to the first level approximation, with which any pair of measured carrier mobility and density can be normalized to an arbitrary carrier density for comparison.We experimentally demonstrated the reliability of the method, which is much simpler than making devices and may promote the standard making for graphene characterization.Fangzhu Qing Yang Shu Linsen Qing Yuting Niu He Guo Shuyi Zhang Chunlin Liu Changqing Shen Wanli Zhang Samuel S.Mao Wenjuan Zhu Xuesong Li 2018Science Bulletin2018,63,22:2
