1Dual-band independent phase control based on high efficiency metasurface[Invited]显示文摘A general method to realize arbitrary dual-band independent phase control is proposed and demonstrated in this paper.A double-layered C-shape reflective meta-atom is designed to realize independent phase control with high efficiency.As a proof of concept,we propose two functional metasurfaces in the microwave region;the first metasurface performs beam steering in different directions,and the second metasurface generates achromatic beam steering at two distinct frequencies.Both simulation and measurement results agree well with the theoretical pre-setting.The maximum measured efficiency is 88.7%and 92.3%at 6.8 GHz and 8.0 GHz,respectively,for one metasurface,and 91.0%and 89.8%at 6.9 GHz and8.6 GHz,respectively,for the other.李金星 袁乐眙 吴群 Shah Nawaz Burokur 张狂 2021Chinese Optics Letters2021,19,10:2
2Dynamic bifunctional THz metasurface via dual-mode decoupling显示文摘Metasurfaces have powerful light field manipulation capabilities and have been researched and developed extensively in various fields.With an increasing demand for diverse functionalities,terahertz(THz)metasurfaces are also expanding their domain.In particular,integrating different functionalities into a single device is a compelling domain in metasurfaces.In this work,we demonstrate a functionally decoupled THz metasurface that can incorporate any two functions into one metasurface and switch dynamically through external excitation.This proposed metasurface is formed by the combination of split-ring resonators and phase change material vanadium dioxide(VO_(2)).It operates in the single-ring resonant mode and double-ring resonant mode with varying VO_(2)in insulating and metallic states,respectively.More importantly,the phase modulation is independent in two operating modes,and both cover a 360°cross-polarized phase with efficient polarization conversion.This characteristic makes it obtain arbitrary independent phase information on the metasurface with different modes to switch dual functions dynamically.Here,we experimentally demonstrate the functions of a tunable focal length and large-angle focus deflection of a THz off-axis parabolic mirror to verify the dual-function switching characteristics of the functionally decoupled metasurface.The functionally decoupled metasurface developed in this work broadens the way for the research and application of multifunctional modulation devices in the THz band.XUAN CONG HONGXIN ZENG SHIQI WANG QIWU SHI SHIXIONG LIANG JIANDONG SUN SEN GONG FENG LAN ZIQIANG YANG YAXIN ZHANG 2022Photonics Research2022,10,9:1
3近红外波段偏振无关型反射超透镜的设计显示文摘近些年,超透镜受到了广泛关注。文中提出了一种基于金材料的近红外波段偏振无关型反射超透镜,该超透镜采用MgF2材料作为电介质层,利用FDTD软件实现仿真设计。仿真结果表明:超透镜在不同偏振光入射的情况下具有相同的聚焦效果,入射波长在700~850 nm的范围内,具有较好的聚焦效果。入射波长在750~800 nm范围内单焦点聚焦效果最好。当入射波长为800 nm,该超透镜可以分别实现单焦点和多焦点聚焦,其单焦点、双焦点和三个焦点的焦距分别为9.6、6.6和4.7μm。可以利用该超透镜的特点实现不同的聚焦要求。张玉慧 杨博伟 李轶庭 赵元埴 付跃刚 2020红外与激光工程2020,49,6:1
4Spin-decoupled metalens with intensity-tunable multiple focal points显示文摘The control of spin electromagnetic(EM)waves is of great significance in optical communications.Although geometric metasurfaces have shown unprecedented capability to manipulate the wavefronts of spin EM waves,it is still challenging to independently manipulate each spin state and intensity distribution,which inevitably degrades metasurface-based devices for further applications.Here we propose and experimentally demonstrate an approach to designing spin-decoupled metalenses based on pure geometric phase,i.e.,geometric metasurfaces with predesigned phase modulation possessing functionalities of both convex lenses and concave lenses.Under the illumination of left-/right-handed circularly polarized(LCP or RCP)terahertz(THz)waves,these metalenses can generate transversely/longitudinally distributed RCP/LCP multiple focal points.Since the helicity-dependent multiple focal points are locked to the polarization state of incident THz waves,the relative intensity between two orthogonal components can be controlled with different weights of LCP and RCP THz waves,leading to the intensity-tunable functionality.This robust approach for simultaneously manipulating orthogonal spin states and energy distributions of spin EM waves will open a new avenue for designing multifunctional devices and integrated communication systems.BINGSHUANG YAO XIAOFEI ZANG YANG ZHU DAHAI YU JINGYA XIE LIN CHEN SEN HAN YIMING ZHU SONGLIN ZHUANG 2021Photonics Research2021,9,6:1
5微波段超构表面对电磁波波前的调控研究显示文摘文章回顾总结了本课题组近期关于微波段超构表面的研究进展。首先推导了单层超构表面的透射效率极限值,并设计实现了对交叉圆极化电磁波波前的有效人工调控。进一步基于等效滤波器的理论模型,推导了多层超表面的基本结构特性,在此基础上设计了能够分别工作于线极化及圆极化入射波条件下的多层超构透镜,实现了微波涡旋波束的高效激发,以及对正交圆极化的内在对称性进行人为解耦等多重波前调控。经过一系列的仿真分析和实验验证,我们所设计的微波段单层、多层超构表面均可产生符合预期理论设计的调控结果。这些研究进展为电磁波调控器件的平面化提供了有效的理论依据,加快了超构表面在无线通信技术领域的应用和发展。张狂 袁乐眙 王禹翔 丁旭旻 吴群 2020微波学报2020,36,1:0
