2Deterministic quantum communication using the symmetric W state显示文摘This study proposes a new coding function for the symmetric W state.Based on the new coding function,a theoretical protocol of deterministic quantum communication(DQC) is proposed.The sender can use the proposed coding function to encode his/her message,and the receiver can perform the imperfect Bell measurement to obtain the sender's message.In comparison to the existing DQC protocols that also use the W class state,the proposed protocol is more efcient and also more practical within today's technology.Moreover,the security of this protocol is analyzed to show that any eavesdropper will be detected with a very high probability under both the ideal and the noisy quantum channel.TSAI Chia-Wei HWANG Tzonelih 2013Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2013,56,10:9
3On the developments and applications of optical microcavities: an overview显示文摘Devices based on the optical microcavities which confne light to small volumes by resonant recirculation are already indispensable for a wide range of studies and applications.This article provides an overview of the development and application of optical microcavities.We frst give a pedagogical introduction to the interaction between a two-level system and a quantized electromagnetic feld in the cavity,based on the so-called Jaynes-Cummings model,which is basic and important theory model in the cavity quantum electrodynamics,and various quantum phenomena and applications of it.Then,we overview three basic types of the microcavity structures,and also highlight the progress achieved so far in these systems.Based on these three structures,we give an account of three representative applications of optical microcavities,and explain their microcavity requirements and the state of the art for these devices,before outlining the challenges for the future.WANG TieJun CAO Cong WANG Chuan 2013Science China(Information Sciences)2013,56,12:0
