1SHRIMP U-Pb zircon age of tuff from the Kunyang Group in central Yunnan:Evidence for Grenvillian orogeny in South China显示文摘Whether or not Grenvillian orogeny occurred in South China still remains highly controversial because high-quality,discriminating data are lacking,and therefore,the key to resolve this matter is to find datable volcanic and/or sedimentary rocks related to Grenvillian orogeny. Such rocks are apparently present in the Fuliangpeng Member from the lower-middle part of Kunyang Group in central Yunnan; here the unit is more than 100 m thick and consists of andesitic ignimbrite,tuffite,terrigeous clastic rocks and carbonates. These volcanic rocks,developed south of the Sibao fold-thrust belts,represent the earliest calc-alkaline volcanic activity in late Precambrian time from central Yunnan and are coeval with both a change in sedimentary facies from detritus to carbonates and the beginning of seismite development elsewhere. Two samples for SHRIMP analysis were collected from this volcanic unit. Sample G3-29-2,from the bottom of Fuliangpeng Member,is an ignimbrite,and about 100 zircon crys-tals recovered from it have euhedral shapes and display relatively simple sector zonation under cathodoluminescent (CL) imaging,suggesting a magmatogenic origin. Twenty-five of the zircons were analyzed and a weighed-mean U-Pb age of 1032±9 Ma was obtained. Sample G3-29-3 from uppermost part of Fuliangpeng Member is a tuffite,and many rounded,evidently detrital zircons were recovered. Nine of these zircons were analyzed,and the oldest single-grain U-Pb zircon age is 1938±26 Ma,im-plying that Paleoproterozoic basement developed in Cathaysia. 3Determination of focal depth by two waveform-based methods:A case study for the 2008 Panzhihua earthquake显示文摘With the 2008 M S 6.1 Panzhihua earthquake as a case study,we demonstrate that the focal depth of the main shock can be well constrained with two approaches:(1) using the depth phase sPL and (2) using full waveform inversion of local and teleseismic data.We also show that focal depths can be well constrained using the depth phase sPL with single broadband seismic station.Our study indicates that the main shock is located at a depth of 11 km,much shallower than those from other studies,confirming that the earthquake occurs in upper crust.Aftershocks are located in the depth range of 11-16 km,which is consistent with a ruptured near vertical fault whose width is about 10 km,as expected for an M S 6.1 earthquake.Zhenjie Wang Jiajun Chong Sidao Ni Barbara Romanowicz 2011Earthquake Science2011,24,4:17
4Full-color quantum dots active matrix display fabricated by ink-jet printing显示文摘Making full-color active matrix display based on quantum dot light emitting diodes(AM-QLEDs) via ink-jet printing is attractive in display industry due to QLEDs' wide color gamut and their potential manufacturing advantages of large screen size and low cost. The challenges for realizing AM-QLED display are how to achieve high quality films through ink-jet printing, multi-color patterning, electroluminescence(EL) color purity, and high efficiency. Herein, a 2-inch diagonal full-color AM-QLEDs display with pixel density of 120 pixels per inch(PPI) fabricated by ink-jet printing technique is presented. Driven by a metal oxide TFT(MOTFT) back-panel, the display exhibits a maximum brightness of 400 cd m.2, and a color gamut of 109%(NTSC 1931). The red, green, and blue(RGB) monochrome QLEDs passive matrix panels fabricated by ink-jet printing technique have a current efficiency(CE) of 2.5, 13.9, and 0.30 cd A.1, respectively. To the best of our knowledge, the efficiencies are the highest among passive matrix QLEDs panels made by ink-jet printing technique. 5Nanopreparations for mitochondria targeting drug delivery system: Current strategies and future prospective显示文摘Mitochondria are a novel and promising therapeutic target for diagnosis, treatment and prevention of a lot of human diseases such as cancer, metabolic diseases and neurodegenerative disease. Owing to the mitochondrial special bilayer structure and highly negative potential nature, therapeutic molecules have multiple difficulties in reaching mitochondria. To overcome multiple barriers for targeting mitochondria, the researchers developed various pharmaceutical preparations such as liposomes, polymeric nanoparticles and inorganic nanoparticles modified by mitochondriotropic moieties like dequalinium (DQA),triphenylphosphonium (TPP), mitochondrial penetrating peptides (MPPs) and mitochondrial protein import machinery that allow specific targeting.The targeted formulations exhibited enhanced pharmacological effect and better therapeutic effect than their untargeted counterpart both in vitro and in vivo. 7Enabling an intrinsically safe and high-energy-density 4.5 V-class Li-ion battery with nonflammable electrolyte显示文摘Developing nonflammable electrolyte with a wide electrochemical window has become an urgent demand for high-energy-density and high-safe lithium-ion batteries(LIBs).Herein,a fluorinated nonflammable phosphate electrolyte is developed to construct a safe 4.5 V-class LIB(Si-SiC-C/0.35Li2MnO3-0.65LiNi0.5Mn0.5O2).The proposed fluorinated phosphate electrolyte,0.8 M LiPF6/tris(2,2,2-trifluoroethyl)phosphate(TFEP)+5 vol%fluoroethylene carbonate(FEC)+5 vol%vinylene carbonate(VC),is not only completely nonflammable but also exhibits excellent oxidative/reductive stability on 0.35Li2MnO30.65LiNi0.5Mn0.5O2 cathode and Si-SiC-C anode.The in situ differential electrochemical mass spectrometry and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy proved that TFEP-based electrolyte does not decompose into gases but forms a high-quality electrode-electrolyte interface on cathode surface at high working potential.The 4.5 V-class LIBs using 0.8 M LiPF6 TFEP-based nonflammable electrolyte shed some light on potential application for high-safe and low-cost larger-scale energy storage.Ziqi Zeng Xingwei Liu Xiaoyu Jiang Zhenjie Liu Zhangquan Peng Xiangming Feng Weihua Chen Dingguo Xia Xinping Ai Hanxi Yang Yuliang Cao 2020InfoMat2020,2,5:6

9Highly pathogenic avian influenza H5N1 Clade 2.3.2.1c virus in migratory birds,2014–2015显示文摘A novel Clade 2.3.2.1c H5N1 reassortant virus caused several outbreaks in wild birds in some regions of China from late 2014 to 2015.Based on the genetic and phylogenetic analyses,the viruses possess a stable gene constellation with a Clade 2.3.2.1c HA,a H9N2-derived PB2 gene and the other six genes of Asian H5N1-origin.The Clade 2.3.2.1c H5N1 reassortants displayed a high genetic relationship to a human H5N1 strain(A/Alberta/01/2014).Further analysis showed that similar viruses have been circulating in wild birds in China,Russia,Dubai(Western Asia),Bulgaria and Romania(Europe),as well as domestic poultry in some regions of Africa.The affected areas include the Central Asian,East Asian-Australasian,West Asian-East African,and Black Sea/Mediterranean flyways.These results show that the novel Clade 2.3.2.1c reassortant viruses are circulating worldwide and may have gained a selective advantage in migratory birds,thus posing a serious threat to wild birds and potentially humans.Yuhai Bi Jianjun Chen Zhenjie Zhang Mingxin Li Tianlong Cai Kirill Sharshov Ivan Susloparov Alexander Shestopalov Gary Wong Yubang He Zhi Xing Jianqing Sun Di Liu Yingxia Liu Lei Liu Wenjun Liu Fumin Lei Weifeng Shi George F. 10TCP7 functions redundantly with several Class Ⅰ TCPs and regulates endoreplication in Arabidopsis显示文摘TCP(TEOSINTE BRANCHED1/CYCLOIDEA/PROLIFERATING CELL FACTOR) proteins, a family of plantspecific transcription factors, play important roles in many developmental processes. However, genetic and functional redundancy among class I TCP limits the analysis of their biological roles. Here, we identified a dominantnegative mutant of Arabidopsis thaliana TCP7 named leaf curling-upward(lcu), which exhibits smaller leaf cells and shorter hypocotyls than the wild type, due to defective endoreplication. A septuple loss-of-function mutant of TCP7, TCP8, TCP14, TCP15, TCP21, TCP22, and TCP23 displayed similar developmental defects to those of lcu.Genome-wide RNA-sequencing showed that lcu and the septuple mutant share many misexpressed genes.Intriguingly, TCP7 directly targets the CYCLIN D1;1 (CYCD1;1) locus and activates its transcription. We determined that the C-terminus of TCP7 accounts for its transcriptional activation activity. Furthermore, the mutant protein LCU exhibited reduced transcriptional activation activity due to the introduction of an EAR-like repressive domain at its C-terminus. 12Deformation of the Haiyuan-Liupanshan fault zone inferred from the denser GPS observations显示文摘The Haiyuan-Liupanshan fault,an active tectonic feature at the Tibetan Plateau's northeastern boundary,was ruptured by two MS earthquakes(1920 and 1927)bracketing an unbroken section(the Tianzhu seismic gap).A high seismic hazard is expected along the gap.To monitor deformation characteristics and do a seismic risk assessment,we made measurements at two newly built campaign-mode Global Positioning System(GPS) stations and 13 pre-existing stations in 2013 and 2014.Adding existing data from 1999 to 2014,we derived a new velocity field.Based on the horizontal velocity,we used three block models to invert the deformation of four crustal blocks.The results suggest non-uniform deformation in the interior of the Lanzhou block,the Ordos block and the Alaxan block,but uniform deformation in the Qilian block.Fault slip rates derived from block models show a decreasing trend from west to east,(2.0-3.2 mm/a on the Haiyuan fault to 0.9-1.5 mm/a on the Liupanshan fault).The Haiyuan fault evidences sinistral striking-slip movement,while the Liupanshan fault is primarily thrusting due to transformation of the displacement between the strike-slip and crustal shortening.The locking depth of each segment along the Haiyuan fault obtained by fitting the fault parallel velocities varies drastically from west to east(21.8-7.1 km).The moment accumulation rate,calculated using the slip rate and locking depth,is positively correlated with the locking depth.Given the paucity of large seismic events during the previous millennium,the Tuolaishan segment and the Maomaoshan segment have higher likelihood of nucleation for a future event.Yanchuan Li Chunyan Qu Xinjian Shan Xiaogang Song Guohong Zhang Weijun Gan Shaoyan Wen Zhenjie Wang 2015Earthquake Science2015,28,5:4

14Sacrificial microgel‑laden bioink‑enabled 3D bioprinting of mesoscale pore networks显示文摘Three-dimensional(3D)bioprinting is a powerful approach that enables the fabrication of 3D tissue constructs that retain complex biological functions.However,the dense hydrogel networks that form after the gelation of bioinks often restrict the migration and proliferation of encapsulated cells.Herein,a sacrificial microgel-laden bioink strategy was designed for directly bioprinting constructs with mesoscale pore networks(MPNs)for enhancing nutrient delivery and cell growth.The sacrificial microgel-laden bioink,which contains cell/gelatin methacryloyl(GelMA)mixture and gelled gelatin microgel,is first thermo-crosslinked to fabricate temporary predesigned cell-laden constructs by extrusion bioprinting onto a cold platform.Then,the construct is permanently stabilized through photo-crosslinking of GelMA.The MPNs inside the printed constructs are formed after subsequent dissolution of the gelatin microgel.These MPNs allowed for effective oxygen/nutrient diffusion,facilitating the generation of bioactive tissues.Specifically,osteoblast and human umbilical vein endothelial cells encapsulated in the bioprinted large-scale constructs(≥1 cm)with MPNs showed enhanced bioactivity during culture.The 3D bioprinting strategy based on the sacrificial microgel-laden bioink provided a facile method to facilitate formation of complex tissue constructs with MPNs and set a foundation for future optimization of MPN-based tissue constructs with applications in diverse areas of tissue engineering.Lei Shao Qing Gao Chaoqi Xie Jianzhong Fu Meixiang Xiang Zhenjie Liu Liulin Xiang Yong He 2020Bio-Design and Manufacturing2020,3,1:3
15Zircon U-Pb-Hf Isotopic Systematics and Geochemistry of the Granites in the Wurinitu Molybdenum Deposit, Inner Mongolia, China: Implications for Tectonic Setting and Genetic Type of Mineralization显示文摘The Wurinitu Mo deposit is one of the newly found molybdenum deposits in the southwestern part of the late Paleozoic–Mesozoic Erenhot–Dong-Ujimqin metallogenic belt(S-EDMB),Inner Mongolia,China. In the present study,the mineralization age of the Wurinitu deposit is constrained to 137.3 ± 1.3 to 131.9 ± 1.5 Ma based on a combination of the laser ablation–inductively coupled plasma–mass spectrometry(LA–ICP–MS) zircon U–Pb dating of the mineralization related fine-grained monzonitic granite and the post-mineralization granite porphyry. The results of zircon Lu–Hf isotopes,combined with the geochemical characteristics of the granites in the S-EDMB,suggest that the Wurinitu Mo deposit was formed in an extensional environment in relation to the subduction of the Paleo-Pacific plate in late Mesozoic. 18Transcriptional regulatory circuits controlling muscle fiber type switching显示文摘Skeletal muscle fitness plays vital roles in human health and disease and is determined by developmental as well as physiological inputs. These inputs control and coordinate muscle fiber programs, including capacity for fuel burning, mitochondrial ATP production, and contraction. Recent studies have demonstrated crucial roles for nuclear receptors and their co-activators, and micro RNAs(mi RNAs) in the regulation of skeletal muscle energy metabolism and fiber type determination. In this review, we present recent progress in the study of nuclear receptor signaling and mi RNA networks in muscle fiber type switching. 20Self-Stabilized Precipitation Polymerization and Its Application显示文摘An efective,value-added use of the large amounts of olefnic compounds produced in the processing of petroleum,aside from ethylene and propylene,has been a long outstanding challenge.Here,we developed a novel heterogeneous polymerization method,beyond emulsion/dispersion/suspension,termed self-stabilized precipitation(2SP)polymerization,which involves the nucleation and growth of nanoparticles(NPs)of a well-defned size without the use of any stabilizers and multifunctional monomers(crosslinker).Tis technique leads to two revolutionary advances:(1)the generation of functional copolymer particles from single olefnic monomer or complex olefnic mixtures(including C4/C5/C9 fractions)in large quantities,which open a new way to transform huge amount of unused olefnic compounds in C4/C5/C9 fractions into valuable copolymers,and(2)the resultant polymeric NPs possess a self-limiting size and narrow size distribution,therefore being one of the most simple,efcient,and green strategies to produce uniform,size-tunable,and functional polymeric nanoparticles.More importantly,the separation of the NPs from the reaction medium is simple and the supernatant liquid can be reused;hence this new synthetic strategy has great potential for industrial production.Zhenjie Liu Dong Chen Jinfang Zhang Haodong Liao Yanzhao Chen Yingfa Sun Jianyuan Deng Wantai Yang 2018Research2018,,1:3
