1Lake eutrophication and its ecosystem response显示文摘China is a country with many lakes,about one-third of which are freshwater mainly distributed in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River.Currently most of the lakes are mesotrophic or eutrophic.Lake eutrophication has become one of the major ecological and environmental problems faced by lakes in China and can lead to a series of abnormal ecosystem responses,including extinction of submerged plants,frequent occurrence of cyanobacterial blooms,increased microbial biomass and productivity,decreased biodiversity,accelerated cycles,and a change in the efficient use of nutrients.With development of eutrophication,the whole lake ecosystem suffers decreased biodiversity,simplification of biotic community structure,instability of the ecosystem,and ultimately the clear-water,macrophyte-dominated ecosystem gradually shifts to a turbid-water,algae-dominated ecosystem.This ecosystem succession mechanism is speculated to be caused by different nutrient utilization efficiencies of macrophytes and phytoplankton.The ultimate ecosystem succession trend of seriously eutrophic lakes is that a phytoplankton-dominated autotrophic lake shifts to a heterotrophic lake dominated by micro-organisms,protozoans.QIN BoQiang GAO Guang ZHU GuangWei ZHANG YunLin SONG YuZhi TANG XiangMing XU Hai DENG JianMing 2013Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,9:63

3The role of periphytes in the shift between macrophyte and phytoplankton dominated systems in a shallow,eutrophic lake (Lake Taihu,China)显示文摘Based on experiments of periphyte response to different trophic levels and their impact on macrophyte production,it was found that the periphyte biomass increased with the nutrient con-centrations. Increased trophic level and periphyte biomass resulted in decreased macrophyte photo-synthesis. It was suggested that the periphytes could cause resilience and hysteresis in the system shifts between macrophyte and phytoplankton domination. Other factors,such as fish farming,storm induced waves and mechanical destruction,and high water levels could be the perturbations during the system shifts,but these are not the key factors. Instead,the nutrient loading and periphyte abundance could determine the shift in lake ecosystem between macrophyte and phytoplankton domination. 4Synthesis and Application of Novel Triazine-Based Charring-Foaming Agents in Intumescent Flame Retardant Polypropylene显示文摘Three novel triazine-based charring-foaming agents (M2-CFA,M4-CFA,and M6-CFA) were synthesized successfully with only water as the solvent and were characterized by FT-IR and thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA).These three charring-foaming agents and the byproduct 944-by were employed to study the effectiveness of the novel intumescent flame retardant dopant on the fire retardancy of polypropylene (PP) investigated through UL-94 and limiting oxygen index (LOI) tests.TGA results showed that the M4-CFA presented good char formation ability (char residue: 26.8% at 700 ℃).It was found that the sample with a 2/1 mass ratio of APP to M4-CFA exhibited the best flame retardancy among all the PP composites: 35.5% LOI and a V-0 rating of UL-94.Additionally,the microstructure and morphology of char residues were further studied by XRD,Raman spectroscopy and SEM.Ligong Chen Yanyan Yuan Bowei Wang Na Liu Yuzhi Xing Yang Li 2017Transactions of Tianjin University2017,23,3:9
5Upregulation of Nogo receptor expression induces apoptosis of retinal ganglion cells in diabetic rats显示文摘The Nogo receptor is an essential factor for neuronal apoptosis, but the changes in Nogo receptor expression in the retina and the effects of the Nogo receptor on retinal ganglion cell apoptosis in diabetes mellitus remain unclear. We found that Nogo receptor expression was mainly visible in retinal ganglion cells of a rat model of diabetes mellitus induced by streptozotocin. At 12 weeks after onset of diabetes mellitus, Nogo receptor and Rho kinase expression significantly increased in the retina, and retinal ganglion cell apoptosis was apparent. When RNA interference was used to suppress Nogo receptor expression in rat retina, Rho kinase expression was obviously inhibited, and retinal ganglion cell apoptosis was evidently reduced in rats with diabetes mellitus. 7Research on monthly flow uncertain reasoning model based on cloud theory显示文摘In view of the mid and long term runoff forecasting containing many uncertain factors,this paper constructs a uncertain reasoning model (UR) based on the cloud theory to solve the problem of uncertain reasoning.Firstly,in the proposed model,a classification method,i.e.,attribute oriented induction maximum variance (MaxVar),is used to divide the runoff series into different intervals,which are softened and described by the cloud membership with expected value (Ex),entropy (En) and hyper-entropy (He),then an uncertain reasoning rule set is constructed by means of the runoff value generalization and applied to monthly flow for uncertain prediction.Next,a new modification formula is used to calculate He in runoff forecasting,and a confident level probability prediction interval is obtained by statistical method.Finally,this paper takes the monthly flow of Manwan station in China as an example and uses UR model,LSSVM model,and ARMA model to calculate the monthly flow,respectively.The results show that the UR model has the highest prediction accuracy compared to other models,and that it not only provides random output but also supports probability interval prediction.SHI YuZhi & ZHOU HuiCheng Faculty of Infrastructure Engineering,Dalian University of Technology,Dalian 116024,China 2010Science China(Technological Sciences)2010,53,9:7
8An Overview of Mineral Dust Modeling over East Asia显示文摘East Asian dust(EAD) exerts considerable impacts on the energy balance and climate/climate change of the earth system through its influence on solar and terrestrial radiation, cloud properties, and precipitation efficiency. Providing an accurate description of the life cycle and climate effects of EAD is therefore critical to better understanding of climate change and socioeconomic development in East Asia and even worldwide. Dust modeling has undergone substantial development since the late 1990 s, associated with improved understanding of the role of EAD in the earth system. Here, we review the achievements and progress made in recent decades in terms of dust modeling research,including dust emissions, long-range transport, radiative forcing(RF), and climate effects of dust particles over East Asia. Numerous efforts in dust/EAD modeling have been directed towards furnishing more sophisticated physical and chemical processes into the models on higher spatial resolutions. Meanwhile, more systematic observations and more advanced retrieval methods for instruments that address EAD related science issues have made it possible to evaluate model results and quantify the role of EAD in the earth system, and to further reduce the uncertainties in EAD simulations. Though much progress has been made, large discrepancies and knowledge gaps still exist among EAD simulations. 9Estimation of the Aerosol Radiative Effect over the Tibetan Plateau Based on the Latest CALIPSO Product显示文摘Based on the CALIPSO(Cloud–Aerosol Lidar and Infrared Pathfinder Satellite Observation) Version 4.10 products released on 8 November 2016, the Level 2(L2) aerosol product over the Tibetan Plateau(TP) is evaluated and the aerosol radiative effect is also estimated in this study. As there are still some missing aerosol data points in the daytime CALIPSO Version 4.10 L2 product, this study re-calculated the aerosol extinction coefficient to explore the aerosol radiative effect over the TP based on the CALIPSO Level 1(L1) and CloudSat 2 B-CLDCLASS-LIDAR products. The energy budget estimation obtained by using the AODs(aerosol optical depths) from calculated aerosol extinction coefficient as an input to a radiative transfer model shows better agreement with the Earth's Radiant Energy System(CERES) and CloudSat 2 B-FLXHR-LIDAR observations than that with the input of AODs from aerosol extinction coefficient from CALIPSO Version 4.10 L2 product. The radiative effect and heating rate of aerosols over the TP are further simulated by using the calculated aerosol extinction coefficient. The dust aerosols may heat the atmosphere by retaining the energy in the layer. The instantaneous heating rate can be as high as 5.5 K day^(–1) depending on the density of the dust layers. Overall, the dust aerosols significantly affect the radiative energy budget and thermodynamic structure of the air over the TP, mainly by altering the shortwave radiation budget. 10An overview of the influence of atmospheric circulation on the climate in arid and semi-arid region of Central and East Asia显示文摘The arid and semi-arid(ASA) region of Asia occupies a large area in the middle latitudes of the Northern Hemisphere, of which the main body is the ASA region of Central and East Asia(CEA). In this region, the climate is fragile and the environment is sensitive. The eastern part of the ASA region of CEA is located in the marginal zone of the East Asian monsoon and is jointly influenced by westerly circulation and the monsoon system, while in the western part of the ASA of CEA,the climate is mainly controlled by westerly circulation. To understand and predict the climate over this region, it is necessary to investigate the influence of general circulation on the climate system over the ASA region of CEA. In this paper, recent progress in understanding the relationship between the general circulation and climate change over the ASA region is systematically reviewed. Previous studies have demonstrated that atmospheric circulation represents a significant factor in climate change over the ASA region of CEA. In the years with a strong East Asian summer monsoon, the water vapor flux increases and precipitation is abundant in the southeastern part of Northwest China. The opposite situation occurs in years when the East Asian summer monsoon is weak. With the weakening of the East Asian summer monsoon, the climate tends to dry over the semi-arid region located in the monsoon marginal zone. Recently, owing to the strengthening of the South Asian monsoon, more water vapor has been transported to the ASA region of Asia. The Plateau summer monsoon intensity and the precipitation in summer exhibit a significant positive correlation in Central Asia but a negative correlation in North China and Mongolia. A significant positive correlation also exists between the westerly index and the temperature over the arid region of CEA. 14Effect of Cu Addition to 2205 Duplex Stainless Steel on the Resistance against Pitting Corrosion by the Pseudomonas aeruginosa Biofilm显示文摘The effect of copper addition to 2205 duplex stainless steel(DSS) on its resistance against pitting corrosion by the Pseudomonas aeruginosa biofilm was investigated using electrochemical and surface analysis techniques. Cu addition decreased the general corrosion resistance, resulting in a higher general corrosion rate in the sterile medium. Because DSS usually has a very small general corrosion rate, its pitting corrosion resistance is far more important. In this work, it was shown that 2205-3%Cu DSS exhibited a much higher pitting corrosion resistance against the P. aeruginosa biofilm compared with the 2205 DSS control, characterized by no significant change in the pitting potential and critical pitting temperature(CPT) values. 15Dominant Synoptic Patterns and Their Relationships with PM2.5 Pollution in Winter over the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei and Yangtze River Delta Regions in China显示文摘This paper concerns about the episodes of PM2.5 pollution that frequently occur in China in winter months.The severity of PM2.5 pollution is strongly dependent on the synoptic-scale atmospheric conditions.We combined PM2.5 concentration data and meteorological data with the Hybrid Single Particle Lagrangian Integrated Trajectory model(HYSPLIT4)to investigate the dominant synoptic patterns and their relationships with PM2.5 pollution over the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei(BTH)and Yangtze River Delta(YRD)regions in the winters of 2014–17.The transport of PM2.5 from the BTH to YRD regions was examined by using cluster analysis and HYSPLIT4.It is found that the level of PM2.5 pollution over the BTH region was higher than that over the YRD region.The concentration of PM2.5 in the atmosphere was more closely related to meteorological factors over the BTH region.The episodes of PM2.5 pollution over the BTH region in winter were related to weather patterns such as the rear of a high-pressure system approaching the sea,a high-pressure field,a saddle pressure field,and the leading edge of a cold front.By contrast,PM2.5 pollution episodes in the YRD region in winter were mainly associated with the external transport of cold air,a high-pressure field,and a uniform pressure field.Cluster analysis shows that the trajectories of PM2.5 were significantly different under different weather patterns.PM2.5 would be transported from the BTH to the YRD within 48 h when the PM2.5 pollution episodes were associated with three different kinds of weather patterns:the rear of a highpressure system approaching the sea,the high-pressure field,and the leading edge of a cold front over the BTH region.This suggests a possible method to predict PM2.5 pollution episodes based on synoptic-scale patterns.Yuzhi LIU Bing WANG Qingzhe ZHU Run LUO Chuqiao WU Rui JIA 2019Journal of Meteorological Research2019,33,4:5
16Determination of Content of Amino Acid in Abalone by Precolumn Derivatization and its Nutritional Value Evaluation显示文摘[Objectives] This study was conducted to optimize the determination conditions of amino acids from abalone. [Methods] The sample was treated by acid hydrolysis method and subjected to 2,4-2 nitro fluorobenzene column derivatization. The amino acid content in abalone was determined by HLPC,and the nutritional value of the amino acids was evaluated with egg protein model put forward by Institute of Nutrition and Food Hygiene,Chinese Academy of Preventive Medicine. [Results] Abalone contains full amino acids. According to the FAO/WHO ideal,it is a high-quality protein source and suitable for supplement of protein source for human body. 17Detrital Zircon U-Pb Geochronology and Lu-Hf Isotopic Compositions of the Wuliangshan Metasediment Rocks in SW Yunnan(China)and Its Provenance Implications显示文摘The Wuliangshan Group occurs to the east of the Lancang giant igneous zone in SW Yunnan, and is mainly composed of low-grade metamorphosed sedimentary rocks. The group has been considered as the syn-orogenic product of the Baoshan with Simao-Indochina blocks. However, its depositional time and provenance remain to be poorly constrained. This paper presents zircon U-Pb dating and Lu-Hf-isotopic data for five representative sandstone samples from the Wuliangshan Group. The detrital grains yield a major age-peak at ~259 Ma, and four subordinary age-peaks at ~1 859, ~941, ~788, and ~447 Ma, respectively. Our results suggest that the Wuliangshan metasedimentary sequence was deposited after Middle Triassic rather than previously-thought Cambrian. The detrital zircon age spectrum, along with in-situ Lu-Hf isotopic data suggest that the Wuliangshan Group might be a syncollisional sedimentary product related to the collision of Baoshan with Simao-Indochina blocks. 18Prototethyan orogenesis in southwest Yunnan and Southeast Asia显示文摘The Prototethyan Ocean has been suggested as an Early Paleozoic Ocean developed at the Gondwana northern margin. However, its spatial pattern, subduction style and closure time in SW Yunnan and SE Asia still remain unknown. The Prototethyan evolution in SW Yunnan and SE Asia and its internal connection with the South China Kwangsian(Ordo-Silurian)intracontinental orogenesis are also poorly constrained. By summarizing and analyzing the Early Paleozoic geological records in the Sibumasu and Indochina blocks, the eastern South China and SW Japan, this paper proposes the existence of a giant OrdoSilurian igneous belt along the Gondwana northern margin. A preliminary limitation has been obtained regarding the source nature and migration pattern of the igneous belt. Our data allow us to propose a model of the Early Paleozoic Andean-type active continental margin along the East Gondwana northern margin. This is the foundation to determine the southward subduction of the southern branch of the eastern Prototethyan Ocean underneath the Sibumasu and Indochina blocks along the YunxianMenghai(SW Yunnan)-Thailand Peninsula and the Tam Ky-Phouc Son suture in Central Vietnam, respectively, and the eastward linkage with the Early Paleozoic Osaka subduction zone in SW Japan across the peripheral Sanya area. These data synthetically indicate an easterly-diachronous and propagating Andean-type Cambrian(Furongian)-Silurian(Llandovery) orogenesis along the Gondwana northern margin from Nepal, NW India, South Tibet, Qiangtang to Central Vietnam across South Indochina and Sibumasu. 19Heart-on-chips screening based on photonic crystals显示文摘Recently,organ-on-chips have become a fast-growing research field with the widespread development of microfluidic chips and synthetic materials in tissue engineering.Due to the existing cardiotoxicity of many cardiovascular drugs,heart-onchips which are promising to replace traditional animal models have been extensively researched and developed to mimic human organ functions in vitro.The heart-on-chips mainly focus on cardiac mechanics,which is regarded as the central indicator of in vitro heart models and drug testing.Traditional methods for the detection of myocardial mechanics have been demonstrated complex and inefficient in heart-on-chips.Therefore,photonic crystal materials with unique optical properties have attracted interests and have been introduced into the heart-on-chips,developing a visualized self-reporting system for cardiomyocytes activity monitoring.In this review,photonic crystal-based heart-on-chips for biosensing are introduced,as well as the fabricationmethods and design criteria of them.The characterizations of the photonic crystal materials are classified into optical properties and structural properties,and their applications in cell culture and biosensing are further discussed.Then,several representative examples and developments of the integration of photonic crystal materials into microfluidic chips are described in detail.Finally,potentials and limitations are put forward to promote the development of the photonic crystal-based intelligent heart-on-chips.Yixuan Shang Zhuoyue Chen Zhuohao Zhang Yuzhi Yang Yuanjin Zhao 2020Bio-Design and Manufacturing2020,3,3:3
20Three dimensional apple tree organs classification and yield estimation algorithm based on multifeatures fusion and support vector machine显示文摘The automatic classification of apple tree organs is of great significance for automatic pruning of apple trees,automatic picking of apple fruits,and estimation of fruit yield.How-ever,there are some problems of dense foliage,partial occlusion and clustering of apple fruits.All of the problems above would contribute to the difficulties of organs classification and yield estimation of the apple trees.In this paper a method based on Color and Shape Multi-features Fusion and Support Vector Machine(SVM)for 3D apple tree organs classifi-cation and yield estimation was proposed.The method was designed for dwarf and densely planted apple trees at the early and late maturity stages.196-dimensional feature vectors composed with Red Green Blue(RGB),Hue Saturation Value(HSV),Curvatures,Fast Point Feature Histogram(FPFH),and Spin Image were extracted firstly.And then the SVM based on linear kernel function was trained,after that the trained SVM was used for apple tree organs classification.Then the position weighted smoothing algorithm was used for clas-sified apple tree organs smoothing.Then the agglomerative hierarchical clustering algo-rithm was used to recognize single apple fruit for yield estimation.On the same training and test set the experimental results showed that the SVM based on linear kernel function outperformed the KNN algorithm and Ensemble algorithm.The Recall,Precision and F1 score of the proposed method for yield estimation were 93.75%,96.15%and 94.93%respec-tively.In summary,to solve the problems of apple tree organs classification and yield esti-mation in natural apple orchard,a novelty method based on multi-features fusion and SVM was proposed and achieve good performance.Moreover,the proposed method could pro-vide technical support for automatic apple picking,automatic pruning of fruit trees,and automatic information acquisition and management in orchards.Luzhen Ge Kunlin Zou Hang Zhou Xiaowei Yu Yuzhi Tan Chunlong Zhang Wei Li 2022Information Processing in Agriculture2022,9,3:3
