1Environmental connections of novel avian-origin H7N9 influenza virus infection and virus adaptation to the human显示文摘A novel H7N9 influenza A virus has been discovered as the causative identity of the emerging acute respiratory infection cases in Shanghai,China.This virus has also been identified in cases of infection in the neighboring area Hangzhou City in Zhejiang Province.In this study,epidemiologic,clinical,and virological data from three patients in Hangzhou who were confirmed to be infected by the novel H7N9 influenza A virus were collected and analyzed.Human respiratory specimens and chicken feces from a contacted free market were tested for influenza virus by real-time reverse transcription PCR(RT-PCR) and sequencing.The clinical features of the three cases were similar featured with high fever and severe respiratory symptoms;however,only one of the patients died.A certain degree of diversity was observed among the three Hangzhou viruses sequenced from human samples compared with other reported H7N9 influenza A viruses.The sequences of the novel avian-origin H7N9 influenza viruses from Hangzhou City contained important amino acid substitutions related to human adaptation.One of the Hangzhou viruses had gained a novel amino acid substitution(Q226I) in the receptor binding region of hemagglutinin.More importantly,the virus sequenced from the chicken feces had a 627E substitution in the PB2 protein instead of the mammalian-adapted 627K substitution that was found in the PB2 proteins from the Hangzhou viruses from the three patients.Therefore,the newly-emerging H7N9 virus might be under adaptation pressure that will help it 'jump' from avian to human hosts.The significance of these substitutions needs further exploration,with both laboratory experiments and extensive field surveillance.LI Jun YU XinFen PU XiaoYing XIE Li SUN YongXiang XIAO HaiXia WANG FenJuan DIN Hua WU Ying LIU Di ZHAO GuoQiu LIU Jun PAN JingCao 2013Science China(Life Sciences)2013,56,6:32

3The long rather than the short allele of 5-HTTLPR predisposes Han Chinese to anxiety and reduced connectivity between prefrontal cortex and amygdala显示文摘The short allele of the serotonin-transporter gene is associated with higher risk for anxiety and depression in Caucasians, but this association is still unclear in Asians. Here, we addressed this issue using behavioral and multi-modal MRI approaches in a large group of healthy Han Chinese participants (n = 233). In contrast to findings in Caucasians, we found that long-allele (L) carriers had higher anxiety scores. In another group (n = 64) experiencing significant levels of depression or anxiety, the L-allele frequency was also significantly higher. In healthy participants, L-carriers had reduced functional and anatomical connectivity between the amygdala and prefrontal cortex (PFC), which was correlated with anxiety or depression scores. Our findings demonstrated that in Chinese Han participants, in contrast to Caucasians, the L-allele confers vulnerability to anxiety or depression and weakens top-down emotional control between the PFC and amygdala. 6Reduced β2-GPI is associated with increased platelet aggregation and activation in patients with prolonged isolated thrombocytopenia after allo-HSCT显示文摘We aimed to measure platelet function and its relationship with β2-GPI in prolonged isolated thrombocytopenia(PT) after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation(allo-HSCT).Fifty-six patients with PT and 60 allo-HSCT recipients without PT(non-PT controls) were enrolled.Platelet aggregation and activation,β2-GPI and anti-β2-GPI antibody levels,vWF antigen,and vWF activity were analyzed.The effect of β2-GPI on platelet aggregation was also measured ex vivo.Results showed that ADP-induced platelet aggregation significantly increased(39%±7.5% vs.23%±8.5%,P=0.032),and the platelet expression of both CD62 p(33.6%±11.6% vs.8.5%±3.5%,P<0.001) and PAC-1(42.4%±7.6% vs.6.8%±2.2%,P<0.001) was significantly higher in patients with PT than in those without PT.Significantly lower β2-GPI levels(164.2±12 μg m L^-1 vs.234.2±16 μg mL^-1,P<0.001),higher anti-β2-GPI IgG levels(1.78±0.46 U mL^-1 vs.0.94±0.39 U mL^-1,P<0.001),and increased vWF activity(133.06%±30.50% vs.102.17%±25.90%,P<0.001) were observed in patients with PT than in those without PT.Both ADPinduced platelet aggregation(n=116,r^2=-0.5042,P<0.001) and vWF activity(n=116,r^2=-0.2872,P<0.001) were negatively correlated with β2-GPI levels.In summary,our data suggested that platelet aggregation and activation were significantly higher in patients with PT than in those without PT,which might be associated with reduced β2-GPI levels.The reduced β2-GPI levels might be due to the existence of anti-β2-GPI IgG.Haixia Fu Jingzhong Zhao Lanping Xu Kaiyan Liu Yu Wang Huan Chen Wei Han Jingzhi Wang Fengrong Wang Xiaojun Huang Xiaohui Zhang 2019Science China(Life Sciences)2019,62,7:4
7Review Expert Collaborative Recommendation Algorithm Based on Topic Relationship显示文摘The project review information plays an important role in the recommendation of review experts. In this paper, we aim to determine review expert’s rating by using the historical rating records and the final decision results on the previous projects, and by means of some rules, we construct a rating matrix for projects and experts. For the data sparseness problem of the rating matrix and the 'cold start' problem of new expert recommendation, we assume that those projects/experts with similar topics have similar feature vectors and propose a review expert collaborative recommendation algorithm based on topic relationship. Firstly, we obtain topics of projects/experts based on latent Dirichlet allocation(LDA) model, and build the topic relationship network of projects/experts. Then, through the topic relationship between projects/experts, we find a neighbor collection which shares the largest similarity with target project/expert,and integrate the collection into the collaborative filtering recommendation algorithm based on matrix factorization. Finally, by learning the rating matrix to get feature vectors of the projects and experts, we can predict the ratings that a target project will give candidate review experts, and thus achieve the review expert recommendation. 9Controlled fabrication of nanoscale wrinkle structure by fluorocarbon plasma for highly transparent triboelectric nanogenerator显示文摘In this paper,we report a novel nanoscale wrinkle-structure fabrication process using fluorocarbon plasma on poly(dimethylsiloxane)(PDMS)and Solaris membranes.Wrinkles with wavelengths of hundreds of nanometers were obtained on these two materials,showing that the fabrication process was universally applicable.By varying the plasma-treating time,the wavelength of the wrinkle structure could be controlled.Highly transparent membranes with wrinkle patterns were obtained when the plasmatreating time was o125 s.The transmittances of these membranes were 490%in the visible region,making it difficult to distinguish them from a flat membrane.The deposited fluorocarbon polymer also dramatically reduced the surface energy,which allowed us to replicate the wrinkle pattern with high precision onto other membranes without any surfactant coating.The combined advantages of high electron affinity and high transparency enabled the fabricated membrane to improve the performance of a triboelectric nanogenerator.This nanoscale,single-step,and universal wrinkle-pattern fabrication process,with the functionality of high transparency and ultra-low surface energy,shows an attractive potential for future applications in microand nanodevices,especially in transparent energy harvesters.Xiaoliang Cheng Liming Miao Zongming Su Haotian Chen Yu Song Xuexian Chen Haixia Zhang 2017Microsystems & Nanoengineering2017,3,1:3

11Applications of Nanobiomaterials in the Therapy and Imaging of Acute Liver Failure显示文摘Acute liver failure(ALF),a fatal clinical disease featured with overwhelming hepatocyte necrosis,is a grand challenge in global health.However,a satisfactory therapeutic option for curing ALF is still absent,other than liver transplantation.Nanobiomaterials are currently being developed for the diagnosis and treatment of ALF.The liver can sequester most of nanoparticles from blood circulation,which becomes an intrinsic superiority for nanobiomaterials targeting hepatic diseases.Nanobiomaterials can enhance the bioavailability of free drugs,thereby significantly improving the therapeutic effects in ALF.Nanobiomaterials can also increase the liver accumulation of therapeutic agents and enable more effective targeting of the liver or specific liver cells.In addition,stimuli-responsive,optical,or magnetic nanomaterials exhibit great potential in the therapeutical,diagnostic,and imaging applications in ALF.Therefore,therapeutic agents in combination with nanobiomaterials increase the specificity of ALF therapy,diminish adverse systemic effects,and offer a multifunctional theranostic platform.Nanobiomaterial holds excellent significance and prospects in ALF theranostics.In this review,we summarize the therapeutic mechanisms and targeting strategies of various nanobiomaterials in ALF.We highlight recent developments of diverse nanomedicines for ALF therapy,diagnosis,and imaging.Furthermore,the challenges and future perspectives in the theranostics of ALF are also discussed.Yuanyuan Jin Haixia Wang Ke Yi Shixian Lv Hanze Hu Mingqiang Li Yu Tao 2021Nano-Micro Letters2021,13,2:3

Minimally invasive continuous blood glucose monitoring technology based on the glucose detection in interstitial fluid develops rapidly and gets more and more attentions from the patients and the doctors,due to its instantaneous real-time display of glucose level,'24/7'coverage,and the ability to characterize glycemic variability. According to the different detection methods,most of the continuous glucose monitoring technology could be divided into two kinds: subcutaneous implantation method and transdermal extraction method. 16Effect of Jiaji electroacupuncture in transected rat spinal cord显示文摘We evaluated the effect of Jiaji electroacupuncture on cell proliferation and the expression of markers of endogenous neural stem cell activation after complete spinal cord transection. Female Wistar rats were assigned to 4 groups (n = 24 each): a sham-operated group, a control group, a Jiaji electroacupuncture group, and a Jiaji electroacupuncture preconditioning group. Motor function was significantly improved in the acupuncture groups compared to the control group at 7 and 14 d. Numbers of bromodeoxyuridine (BrdU)-, nestin-, and glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP)-positive cells were significantly greater in the acupuncture groups than in the controls at each time point. Expression of nestin and GFAP mRNA was significantly higher in the acupuncture groups than in the controls at each time point. 18Effects of pretreatment procedures on fatty acid composition and stable carbon isotopes in the marine microalga Isochrysis zhanjiangenisis显示文摘This study aims to quantify the effects of different pretreatment methods on the stable carbon isotope values of fatty acids in marine microalgae(Isochrysis zhanjiangenisis).To identify the effects of sample preparation on theδ^(13)C value and the fatty acid composition,we examined eight types of pretreatment methods including:(a) drying the sample followed by direct methyl esterification using HCl-CH_3OH;(b) drying the sample followed by direct methyl esterification using H_2SO_4-CH_3OH;(c) drying the sample by ultrasonic extraction and methylesterification using HCl-CH_3OH;(d) drying the sample by ultrasonic extraction and methyl-esterification using H_2SO_4-CH_3OH;(e) fresh sample followed by direct methyl-esterification using HCl-CH_3OH;(f) fresh sample followed by direct methyl-esterification using H_2SO_4-CH_3OH;(g) fresh sample with ultrasonic extraction followed by methyl-esterification using HCl-CH_3OH,and(h) fresh sample with ultrasonic extraction followed by methylesterification using H_2SO_4-CH_3 OH.The results show that the δ^(13)C values from Groups a–e,g and h fluctuated within 0.3‰,and the δ^(13)C values of Group f were approximately 0.7‰ lower than the other seven groups.Therefore,the different sample pretreatment methods used towards the extraction of fatty acids from marine microalgae may result in different results regarding the stable carbon isotope ratios,and if necessary a correction should be applied.YAO Jingyuan LIU Yu LI Ying WANG Haixia 2016Acta Oceanologica Sinica2016,35,6:2
19Association of therapeutic occasion, gross motor function grading and developmental level with gross motor functional recovery in children with cerebral palsy显示文摘BACKGROUND: The abnormal posture and motor pattern have not stabilized in children with cerebral palsy at early period, thus timely treatment can establish normal postural reflex and motor pattern, and prevent complications of muscle contracture, ankylosis, skeletal deformity, etc. The clinical factors affecting the rehabilitative efficacy of gross motor function in children with cerebral palsy should be observed. OBJECTIVE: To observe the effects of therapeutic occasion, grading of gross motor function and developmental level on the rehabilitative efficacy in children with cerebral palsy. DESIGN: A case-controlled analysis. SETTING: Qilu Children's Hospital of Shandong University. PARTICIPANTS: Totally 138 children with cerebral palsy, who were hospitalized for 12 months in the Rehabilitation Center of Qilu Children's Hospital, Shandong University, were selected from April 2004 to September 2006, and all the children were diagnosed to be accorded with the standard set by the national seminar on cerebral palsy in 2004. There were 97 males and 41 females, including 55 cases of 0-2 years old, 47 cases of 2-4 years and 36 cases of 4-6 years. Informed contents were obtained from relatives of all the children. METHODS: ① Comprehensive rehabilitation treatment: Vojta method was to induce the children to turn over the body and crawl by stimulating reflective turn over and crawling on belly. Bobath method including trainings of head control, turning over body, keeping sitting position, keeping balance, crawling, keeping standing position, and walking, etc.; The children were massaged by using the maneuvers of push, press, rub, pull, wave, etc. according to the sites and types of palsy. Acupuncture was performed mainly at bilateral motor areas, the needle was retained for 1 hour per time, 6 days continuously every week, and followed by a 1-day interval. ② Prognosis assessment: The gross motor functional grading of the children with cerebral palsy at admission was assessed using the Chinese version of gross motor function classification system (GMFCS). The gross motor functions of the children with cerebral palsy were assessed before rehabilitation treatment and 12 months after rehabilitation treatment by using gross motor function measure (GMFM). The improved GMFM total score was calculated. Developmental quotient was evaluated using Gesell developmental schedules (GDS) after 12-month rehabilitation treatment. Univariate analysis of variance was performed using the improved GMFM total score with age, GMFCS grade and developmental level (developmental quotient). MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Effects of age started to accept rehabilitation treatment, GMFCS grade and developmental level on the recovery of gross motor function in children with cerebral palsy. RESULTS: All the 138 children with cerebral palsy were involved in the analysis of results. The improved GMFM total scores were significantly different among the children with cerebral palsy of different ages started to accept treatment, GMFCS grades and developmental levels (F=13.464, 37.283, 30.814, P < 0.01). The younger the children started to accept treatment, the lower the their GMFCS grades and the higher their developmental levels, then the higher their improved GMFM total scores. 20Statistical analysis of intensity variations in tropical cyclones in the East China Sea passing over the Kuroshio显示文摘Intensity variations of the SE-NW-oriented tropical cyclones(TC)in the East China Sea(ECS)passing over the Kuroshio are studied using multi-year high-resolution sea surface temperature data,the tropical cyclone data,and the global reanalysis dataset.The statistical results show that there are 81 TCs passing over the Kuroshio from the southeast in the East China Sea,over 68 years from 1949 to 2016.In terms of the change of the atmospheric pressure in the center of the TC,there are three categories:31 TCs are intensified,28 maintain their intensities,and 22 weakened.Significant seasonal differences are presented in the distribution.In the analysis on the intensified TCs,it is found that the TCs in the range where the center translational speed is from 1 m/s to 8 m/s and the distance from the Kuroshio main axis is from 10 km to 75 km are intensified more significantly.The analysis of three specific examples of TCs show that the stronger characteristics of the Kuroshio warm water in the ECS,the greater the intensity increase of such tropical cyclones.YU Yang DONG Changming SHAN Haixia ZOU Bin 2020Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2020,38,6:2
