5Would integrated Western and traditional Chinese medicine have more benefits for stroke rehabilitation? A systematic review and meta-analysis显示文摘Background Stroke is a major cause of death or long-term disability worldwide.Many patients with stroke receive integrative therapy consisting of Western medicine(WM)and routine rehabilitation in conjunction with Chinese medicine(CM),such as acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine.However,there is no available evidence on the effectiveness of the combined use of WM and CM interventions in stroke rehabilitation.Aims The purpose of this meta-analysis is to evaluate the results of all individual studies to assess the combined use of CM and WM in stroke rehabilitation compared with WM only.Methods The Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis guidelines were followed.MEDLINE,EMBASE,Cochrane and China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI)were searched.The included outcomes were dependency,motor function,depression and swallowing function.Subgroup analysis was performed,and publication bias was assessed using funnel plots.Summary of review 58 studies and 6339 patients were included in the meta-analysis.Subgroup analysis revealed that combined therapy comprising both acupuncture and WM had a superior effect on improving dependency and swallowing function compared with standard WM therapy alone.Potential superiority of combined therapy comprising CM and WM in improving depression compared with standard WM therapy was also found.Conclusions Our results indicate that the combined use of CM and WM could be more efficacious in stroke rehabilitation compared with the use of WM therapy alone.However,most studies were short in duration(2 to 4 weeks)and prone to different types of biases,which prevents making any conclusion regarding the long-term effects and raises concerns regarding true efficacy in context of high likelihood of Hawthorn bias.So,more randomised controlled trials with more rigorous design and longer duration of treatment and follow-up need to be conducted to compare WM alone versus WM and CM combined.Linda LD Zhong Ya Zheng Alexander Y Lau Norman Wong Liang Yao Xingyao Wu Tengteng Shao Zhenxing Lu Huijuan Li Chun Sum Yuen Jianwen Guo Suzanne Lo Janita Chau Kam Wa Chan Bacon Fung Leung Ng Zhaoxiang Bian Edwin Chau-leung Yu 2022Stroke & Vascular Neurology2022,7,1:7
6笋芽顶端分生组织在竹秆横切面形态形成中的作用与机制研究显示文摘竹秆的横切面主要由表皮、皮层、维管组织、基本组织及髓腔(早期为髓组织)组成。这些组织均由笋芽茎顶端分生组织分化发育而来,且其在生长发育过程中促使了竹秆横切面形态(本文特指:竹秆横切面外轮廓形状、围度及壁-腔结构)的形成。然而,人们对于这一生长发育过程的生物学机制知之甚少。本研究利用解剖学、数学模拟等方法,对 20 种具不同秆径竹种的笋芽顶端分生组织进行了分析。研究结果发现,笋芽顶端分生组织指状形态的维持是竹子产生圆柱形竹秆的基础;在顶端分生组织细胞数目增加的同时,线性增加原体细胞数目应是竹子在演化过程中产生大径竹秆且保持规则壁-腔结构的方式。进一步通过研究一个竹壁增厚且壁-腔架构紊乱的稳定变异体———实肚竹( Phyllostachys nidularia f. farcta)发现,其笋芽顶端分生组织细胞数目减少且原体/原套细胞数比值降低使其产生了高比例的壁组分组织(指基本分生组织与肋状分生组织)与低比例的髓组织。上述 2 种组织的比例失衡,使得实肚竹笋芽在后续发育中壁组分组织随机挤入到了髓组织中,最终形成了实肚竹异常的竹秆横切面形态(竹壁多样化增厚且壁-腔结构紊乱)。此外,相对较小的顶端分生组织,使得实肚竹笋芽产生了较少的内源激素,如其生长素含量仅约为其原种篌竹的 67. 5%,各细胞分裂素含量也显著低于篌竹笋芽。转录组分析进一步发现,在实肚竹笋芽中与激素及代谢相关的功能基因呈显著下调表达。这些生理与分子变化最终导致了实肚竹竹秆矮化、秆径减小且生物量降低。本论文的研究结果为研究竹秆横切面发育提供了一个重要的视角,同时也为实肚竹厚壁茎秆的形成提出了一个合理的机制。Wang Y Sun X Ding Y Fei Z Jiao C Fan M Yao B Xin P Chu J Wei Q 王雨珺 魏强 2019世界竹藤通讯2019,17,3:5

8Nitrite-derived nitric oxide by xanthine oxidoreductase protects the liver against ischemia- reperfusion injury显示文摘It was demonstrated that xanthine oxidoreductase (XOR), during ischemia, catalyzes the formation of nitric oxide (NO) from nitrite (NO2-) and this NO2--derived NO protects the isolated perfused rat heart against the damaging effects of ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) when conventional nitric oxide synthase (NOS) -dependent NO production is impaired. Liver is one of the organs with the highest XOR concentration. This study was designed to determine whether NO2--derived NO by XOR protects liver against I/R injury in vivo. For its minute amounts and active reactivity, NO can not be detected directly in real time in vivo by this time. We have to prove the above hypothesis indirectly. METHODS:Wistar rats were pretreated with saline, NOS inhibitor L-NAME (10 mg/kg intravenously), XOR inhibitor allopurinol (1.5 mg/kg orally), L-NAME +allopurinol and NO scavenger carboxy-PTIO (0.6 mg/kg intravenously) respectively (12 animals per group). And then, they were subjected to total liver ischemia for 40 minutes followed by reperfusion. Blood samples and liver tissues were obtained for analysis after 3 hours of reperfusion. Survival was also investigated. RESULTS:Allopurinol-treated animals exhibited further increased serum alanine aminotransferase (ALT) levels and liver myeloperoxidase (MPO) activities, but further decreased liver adenosine triphosphate (ATP) stores after I/R compared to saline-treated counterparts (830.5±108.3 U/L, 56.5±11.0 U/mg protein and 1.93±0.47 μmol/g vs. 505.8± 184.2 U/L, 41.5±10.2 U/mg protein and 3.05±0.55 μmol/g respectively, P<0.01, P<0.05 and P<0.01 respectively). The hepatocyte injury was further exacerbated and the overall survival rate was significantly decreased after I/R in animals given by allopurinol compared to those pretreated by saline (P<0.05). L-NAME and allopurinol co-treated animals exhibited more severe liver injury (P<0.05 and P<0.01) and a further decreased overall survival rate (P<0.05) compared to L-NAME or allopurinol alone-treated counterparts, but they were not different from carboxy-PTIO treated animals (P>0.05). 11Molecular dynamics simulation and continuum modelling of granular surface flow in rotating drums显示文摘Numerical simulations of granular flows in rotating drums operated at medium to high rates (Fr=0.1― 0.2) have been carried out by using a Molecular Dynamics (MD) algorithm that incorporates inelastic particle interactions, sliding friction and rolling friction. The results indicate that the behavior of granular flow in rotating drums can be classified into two distinct zones: a shear active layer at the bed surface and a quasi-static plug flow region adjacent to the wall. The residence time of a tracer particle in the active layer is approximately a third or a half of that in the plug flow region. The thickness of the active layer at mid-chord is about 0.57―0.61 times that of the plug flow region. It is found that all cases simulated in this work are in the rolling-cascading intermediate regime instead of the pure rolling re-gime. The simulated tangential velocity at the mid-chord is also compared with experimental results reported in the literature and good agreement has been obtained. Based on the MD simulations and experimental results, a continuum approach has also been developed. It is shown that the behavior of granular solids in the plug flow region experiences plastic deformation along the radial direction from the wall with the velocity profiles well described by an exponential function, whereas the active layer velocity follows a simple expression for the Couette shear flow. 12First-Principles Study of Phase Stability and Mechanical Property of Co_3(Al,W) Precipitates with Different Ratio of Al to W in Co Base Alloys显示文摘The energetics, electronic structure and mechanical property of Co3(Al,W) precipitates with different ratio of Al to W in Co base alloys were investigated by the method of supercell and augmented plane waves plus local orbitals within generalized gradient approximation. The calculated results show that the L12 Co3(Al,W) precipitate is the most stable when the ratio of Al to W is equal to 1. When the content of W is higher than 18.5 at%, the L12 and hexagonal structures co-exist in Co3(Al,W) precipitates at 1173 K. 13HOT DIPPING ALUMINIZED COATING AS HYDROGEN PERMEATION BARRIER显示文摘The hydrogen permeation experiment of MA NET II with hot dipping aluminized coating was performed in temperature range of 573 to 623K, in gas phase and in liquid Pb-17Li phase. The hydrogen permeation reduction factor (PRP) evaluated in gas phase is 620 at 573K and 260 at 623K, and in liquid Pb-17Li phase is 24-45 at 573K and P2-30 at 623K. The self-healing of coating is obvious and effective above 673K. The pressure dependence of permeation flux indicates strong surface contribution. The way of filling hydrogen by continuous flow and/or bubble can increase permeation flux. The result of SEM-EDS shows that the microcrack is on the surface of the wetted part, but not on the not wetted part. The crack is superficial and affects only thin outside layer not penetrate aluminized layer. The surface elemental analysis shows that Al/O atomic ratio changes from 2/3 of not wetted part to about 1 of wetted part.
