| 1 | Interaction between the gut microbiome and mucosal immune system显示文摘The gut microbiota, the largest symbiotic ecosystem with the host, has been shown to play important roles in maintaining intestinal homeostasis. Dysbiosis of the gut microbiome is caused by the imbalance between the commensal and pathogenic microbiomes. The commensal microbiome regulates the maturation of the mucosal immune system, while the pathogenic microbiome causes immunity dysfunction, resulting in disease development.The gut mucosal immune system, which consists of lymph nodes, lamina propria and epithelial cells, constitutes a protective barrier for the integrity of the intestinal tract. The composition of the gut microbiota is under the surveillance of the normal mucosal immune system. Inflammation, which is caused by abnormal immune responses,influences the balance of the gut microbiome, resulting in intestinal diseases. It is common in children and adolescents, accounting for 1% to 2% of emergency department visits.Recurrent syncope can seriously affect children's physical and mental health, learning ability and quality of life and sometimes cardiac syncope even poses a risk of sudden death. The present guideline for the diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was developed for guiding a better clinical management of pediatric syncope. Based on the globally recent development and the evidence-based data in China, 2018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was jointly prepared by the Pediatric Cardiology Society, Chinese Pediatric Society, Chinese Medical Association(CMA)/Committee on Pediatric Syncope, Pediatricians Branch, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Committee on Pediatric Cardiology, Chinese College of Cardiovascular Physicians, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Pediatric Cardiology Society, Beijing Pediatric Society, Beijing Medical Association(BMA). | 9 | Hydrogen sulfide regulates abiotic stress tolerance and biotic stress resistance in Arabidopsis显示文摘Hydrogen sulfide(H_2S) is an important gaseous molecule in various plant developmental processes and plant stress responses.In this study,the transgenic Arabidopsis thaliana plants with modulated expressions of two cysteine desulfhydrases,and exogenous H_2S donor(sodium hydrosulfide,NaHS) and H_2S scavenger(hypotaurine,HT) pre-treated plants were used to dissect the involvement of H_2S in plant stress responses.The cysteine desulfhydrases overexpressing plants and NaHS pre-treated plants exhibited higher endogenous H_2S level and improved abiotic stress tolerance and biotic stress resistance,while cysteine desulfhydrases knockdown plants and HT pre-treated plants displayed lower endogenous H_2S level and decreased stress resistance.Moreover,H_2S upregulated the transcripts of multiple abiotic and biotic stress-related genes,and inhibited reactive oxygen species(ROS) accumulation.Interestingly,MIR393-mediated auxin signaling including MIR393a/b and their target genes(TIR1,AFB1,AFB2,and AFB3) was transcriptionally regulated by H_2S,and was related with H_2S-induced antibacterial resistance.Moreover,H_2S regulated 50 carbon metabolites including amino acids,organic acids,sugars,sugar alcohols,and aromatic amines.Taken together,these results indicated that cysteine desulfhydrase and H_2S conferred abiotic stress tolerance and biotic stress resistance,via affecting the stress-related gene expressions,ROS metabolism,metabolic homeostasis,and MIR393-targeted auxin receptors. | Haitao Shi Tiantian Ye Ning Han Hongwu Bian Xiaodong Liu Zhulong Chan | 2015 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2015,57,7: | 26 |
| 10 | Flatness Control Based on Dynamic Effective Matrix for Cold Strip Mills显示文摘Steel strips are the main of steel products and flatness is an important quality indicator of steel strips. Flatness control is the key and highly difficult technique of strip mills. The bottle-neck restricting the improvement of flatness control techniques is that the research on flatness theories and control mathematic models is not in accordance with the requirement of technique developments. To build a simple, rapid and accurate explicit formulation control model has become an urgent need for the development of flatness control technique. This paper puts forward the conception of dynamic effective matrix based on the effective matrix method for flatness control proposed by the authors under the consideration of the influence of the change of parameters in rolling processes on the effective matrix, and the concept is validated by industrial productions. Three methods of the effective matrix generation are induced: the calculation method based on the flatness prediction model; the calculation method based on the data excavation in rolling processes and the direct calculation method based on the network model. A fuzzy neural network effective matrix model is built based on the clusters, and then the network structure is optimized and the high-speed-calculation problem of the dynamic effective matrix is solved. The flatness control scheme for cold strip mills is proposed based on the dynamic effective matrix. On stand 5 of the 1 220 mm five-stand 4-high cold strip tandem mill, the industrial experiment with the control methods of tilting roll and bending roll is done by the control scheme of the static effective matrix and the dynamic effective matrix, respectively. The experiment result proves that the control effect of the dynamic effective matrix is much better than that of the static effective matrix. | 11 | Barometric altimetry system as virtual constellation applied in CAPS显示文摘This work describes the barometric altimetry as virtual constellation applied to the Chinese Area Positioning System (CAPS), which uses the transponders of communication satellites to transfer navigation messages to users. Barometric altimetry depends on the relationship of air pressure varying with altitude in the Earth’s atmosphere. Once the air pressure at a location is measured the site altitude can be found. This method is able to enhance and improve the availability of three-dimensional positioning. The difficulty is that the relation between barometric pressure and altitude is variable in different areas and under various weather conditions. Hence, in order to obtain higher accuracy, we need to acquire the real-time air pressure corresponding to an altimetric region’s reference height. On the other hand, the altimetry method will be applied to satellite navigation system, but the greatest difficulty lies in how to get the real-time air pressure value at the reference height in the broad areas overlaid by satellite navigation. We propose an innovational method to solve this problem. It is to collect the real-time air pressures and temperatures of the 1860 known-altitude weather observatories over China and around via satellite communication and to carry out time extrapolation forecast uniformly. To reduce data quantity, we first partition the data and encode them and then broadcast these information via navigation message to CAPS users’ receivers. Upon the interpolations being done in receivers, the reference air pressure and temperature at the receiver’s nearby place is derived. Lastly, combing with the receiver-observed real air pressure and temperature, the site’s altitude can be determined. The work is presented in the following aspects: the calculation principle, formulae, data collection, encoding, prediction, interpolation method, navigation message transmission together with errors causes and analyses. | 14 | The principle of the positioning system based on communication satellites显示文摘It is a long dream to realize the communication and navigation functionality in a satellite system in the world. This paper introduces how to establish the system, a positioning system based on communication satellites called Chinese Area Positioning System (CAPS). Instead of the typical navigation satellites, the communication satellites are configured firstly to transfer navigation signals from ground stations, and can be used to obtain service of the positioning, velocity and time, and to achieve the function of navigation and positioning. Some key technique issues should be first solved; they include the accuracy position determination and orbit prediction of the communication satellites, the measur- ing and calculation of transfer time of the signals, the carrier frequency drift in communication satellite signal transfer, how to improve the geometrical configuration of the constellation in the system, and the integration of navigation & communication. Several innovative methods are developed to make the new system have full functions of navigation and communication. Based on the development of crucial techniques and methods, the CAPS demonstration system has been designed and developed. Four communication satellites in the geosynchronous orbit (GEO) located at 87.5°E, 110.5°E, 134°E, 142°E and barometric altimetry are used in the CAPS system. The GEO satellites located at 134°E and 142°E are decommissioned GEO (DGEO) satellites. C-band is used as the navigation band. Dual frequency at C1=4143.15 MHz and C2=3826.02 MHz as well as dual codes with standard code (CA code and precision code (P code)) are adopted. The ground segment consists of five ground stations; the master station is in Lintong, Xi’an. The ground stations take a lot of responsibilities, including monitor and management of the operation of all system components, determination of the satellite position and prediction of the satellite orbit, accomplishment of the virtual atomic clock measurement, transmission and receiving navigation signals to and from each satellite. In the north, the south, the east, the west and the center of Chinese main land, the function of CAPS demonstration system is checked and measured. In cars and on board the system is also checked and measured. The results are as follow: CA-code, horizontal positioning accuracy, 15-25 m (1σ), vertical, 1-3 m; P-code, horizontal positioning accuracy, 8-10 m (1σ), vertical, 1-3 m; velocity accuracy, CA-code, 0.13-0.30 m/s, P-code, 0.15-0.17 m/s; time accuracy, CA-code, 160 ns, P-code, 13 ns; determination accuracy of orbit ≤2 m. About 20 million US $ and two years are spent for the development of demonstration. | 15 | Characterization of drug responses of mini patient-derived xenografts in mice for predicting cancer patient clinical therapeutic response显示文摘Background:Patient-derived organoids and xenografts(PDXs)have emerged as powerful models in functional diag-nostics with high predictive power for anticancer drug response.However,limitations such as engraftment failure and time-consuming for establishing and expanding PDX models followed by testing drug efficacy,and inability to subject to systemic drug administration for ex vivo organoid culture hinder realistic and fast decision-making in selecting the right therapeutics in the clinic.The present study aimed to develop an advanced PDX model,namely MiniPDX,for rapidly testing drug efficacy to strengthen its value in personalized cancer treatment.Methods:We developed a rapid in vivo drug sensitivity assay,OncoVee®MiniPDX,for screening clinically relevant regimens for cancer.In this model,patient-derived tumor cells were arrayed within hollow fiber capsules,implanted subcutaneously into mice and cultured for 7 days.The cellular activity morphology and pharmacokinetics were systematically evaluated.MiniPDX performance(sensitivity,specificity,positive and negative predictive values)was examined using PDX as the reference.Drug responses were examined by tumor cell growth inhibition rate and tumor growth inhibition rate in PDX models and MiniPDX assays respectively.The results from MiniPDX were also used to evaluate its predictive power for clinical outcomes.Results:Morphological and histopathological features of tumor cells within the MiniPDX capsules matched those both in PDX models and in original tumors.Drug responses in the PDX tumor graft assays correlated well with those in the corresponding MiniPDX assays using 26 PDX models generated from patients,including 14 gastric cancer,10 lung cancer and 2 pancreatic cancer.The positive predictive value of MiniPDX was 92%,and the negative predictive value was 81%with a sensitivity of 80%and a specificity of 93%.Through expanding to clinical tumor samples,Min-iPDX assay showed potential of wide clinical application.Conclusions:Fast in vivo MiniPDX assay based on capsule implantation was developed-to assess drug responses of both PDX tumor grafts and clinical cancer specimens.The high correlation between drug responses of paired MiniPDX and PDX tumor graft assay,as well as translational data suggest that MiniPDX assay is an advanced tool for personalized cancer treatment. | Feifei Zhang Wenjie Wang Yuan Long Hui Liu Jijun Cheng Lin Guo Rongyu Li Chao Meng Shan Yu Qingchuan Zhao Shun Lu Lili Wang Haitao Wang Danyi Wen | 2018 | Cancer Communications2018,38,1: | 20 |

| 17 | Comparative proteomic and metabolomic analyses reveal mechanisms of improved cold stress tolerance in bermudagrass (Cynodon dactylon(L.) Pers.) by exogenous calcium显示文摘As an important second messenger, calcium is involved in plant cold stress response, including chilling(<20 °C) and freezing(<0 °C). In this study, exogenous application of calcium chloride(CaCl2) improved both chilling and freezing stress tolerances, while ethylene glycol‐bis‐(b‐aminoethyl) ether‐N,N,N,N‐tetraacetic acid(EGTA) reversed CaCl2 effects in bermudagrass(Cynodon dactylon(L.) Pers.).Pysiological analyses showed that CaCl2 treatment alleviated the reactive oxygen species(ROS) burst and cell damage triggered by chilling stress, via activating antioxidant enzymes,non‐enzymatic glutathione antioxidant pool, while EGTA treatment had the opposite effects. Additionally, comparative proteomic analysis identified 51 differentially expressed proteins that were enriched in redox, tricarboxylicacid cycle,glycolysis, photosynthesis, oxidative pentose phosphate pathway, and amino acid metabolisms. Consistently, 42 metabolites including amino acids, organic acids, sugars, and sugar alcohols were regulated by CaCl2 treatment under control and cold stress conditions, further confirming the Researchcommon modulation of CaCl2 treatment in carbon metabolites and amino acid metabolism. | 18 | Urban Construction Land Suitability Evaluation Based on Improved Multi-criteria Evaluation Based on GIS(MCE-GIS): Case of New Hefei City,China显示文摘Urban construction land suitability evaluation(UCLSE)is a complex system engineering and the basis for rational use of the limited urban land resources in China.It has an important practical value on urban construction land use planning and management from the angle of methodology.As a widely used technique,traditional multi-criteria evaluation based on GIS(MCE-GIS),is not suitable for UCLSE.This study develops an improved MCE-GIS method which could be more suitable for UCLSE based on urban complex ecological system theory and the summary of the shortcomings of traditional MCE-GIS.The improvements include three aspects:a composite evaluation index system rather than natural indexes alone,an index weight calculated by using fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP)method rather than the common AHP method,and the integrated overlay rule,which includes selecting the minimum value,weighted linear combination(WLC)and simple summation.The main advantage of this improved technique is that it can make UCLSE more comprehensive,more operational and more reasonable.It can provide a scientific basis for decision making in the planning and management of urban construction land use.The improved MCE-GIS system has been adopted in the New Hefei City,Anhui Province,China.Based on the results of UCLSE in New Hefei,three functional areas including construction-appropriate areas,construction-restricted areas and construction-forbidden areas could be worked out,in which 36.90%of the total study area could be developed as urban construction land and the remaining 63.10%should be protected as reserves land or as ecological land.Furthermore,the results can provide scientific decision support for spatial planning and eco-environment protection in New Hefei. | ZHANG Xiaorui FANG Chuanglin WANG Zhenbo MA Haitao | 2013 | Chinese Geographical Science2013,23,6: | 18 |
| 19 | A pilot phase Ⅱ study of neoadjuvant triplet chemotherapy regimen in patients with locally advanced resectable colon cancer显示文摘Objective: This study aims to investigate the feasibility, safety and efficacy of triplet regimen of neoadjuvant chemotherapy in patients with locally advanced resectable colon cancer.Methods: Patients with clinical stage IIIb colon cancer received a perioperative triple chemotherapy regimen(oxaliplatin 85 mg/m2 and irinotecan 150 mg/m2, combined with folinic acid 200 mg, 5-fluorouracil 500 mg bolus and then 2,400 mg/m2 by 44 h infusion or capecitabine 1 g/m2 or S-1 40–60 mg b.i.d orally d 1–10, repeated at 2-week intervals) for 4 cycles. Complete mesocolic excision was scheduled 2–6 weeks after completion of neoadjuvant treatment and followed by a further 6 cycles of FOLFOXIRI or XELOX. Primary outcome measures of this stage II trial were feasibility, safety, tolerance and efficacy of neoadjuvant treatment.Results: All 23 patients received neoadjuvant chemotherapy and underwent surgery. Twenty-one patients(91.3%) had reductions in tumor volume after neoadjuvant treatment, and 13 patients(56.5%) had grade 3–4toxicity. No patients had severe complications from surgery.
