| 3 | Effects and safety of aspirin use in patients after cerebrovascular bypass procedures显示文摘Object Superficial temporal artery to middle cerebral artery(STA-MCA)bypass is the most effective treatment for Moyamoya disease(MMD).In this study,we aimed to assess whether aspirin improves STA-MCA bypass patency and is safe in patients with MMD.Methods We performed a retrospective medical record review of patients with ischaemic-onset MMD who had undergone STA-MCA bypass at two hospitals between January 2011 and August 2018,to clarify the effects and safety of aspirin following STA-MCA bypass.The neurological status at the last follow-up(FU)was compared between patients with FU bypass patency and occlusion.Results Among 217 identified patients(238 hemispheres),the mean age was 41.4±10.2 years,and 51.8%were male;the indications for STA-MCA bypass were stroke(48.2%),followed by a transient ischaemic attack(44.0%).Immediate bypass patency was confirmed in all cases.During the FU period(1.5±1.5 y),15 cases were occluded at FU imaging,resulting in an overall cumulative patency rate of 94%.The patency rates were 93%and 94%in the short-term FU group(n=131,mean FU time 0.5±0.2 years)and long-term FU group(n=107,mean FU time 4.1±3.5 years),respectively.The STA-MCA bypass patency rate in the aspirin group was higher than that in the non-aspirin group(98.7%vs 89.7%;HR 1.57;95%CI 1.106 to 2.235;p=0.012).No significant difference in the FU haemorrhagic events was observed between the aspirin and non-aspirin groups.Conclusions Among adult patients with ischaemic-onset MMD undergoing STA-MCA bypass procedures,aspirin might increase the bypass patency rate,without increasing the bleeding risk.FU bypass patency may be associated with a better outcome.Additional studies,especially carefully designed prospective studies,are needed to address the role of aspirin after bypass procedures. | Junlin Lu Guangchao Shi Yuanli Zhao Rong Wang Dong Zhang Xiaolin Chen Hao Wang Ji Zong Zhao | 2021 | Stroke & Vascular Neurology2021,6,4: | 7 |
| 4 | FAT1, a direct transcriptional target of E2F1, suppresses cell proliferation, migration and invasion in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma显示文摘Objective: Growing evidence indicates that FAT atypical cadherin 1(FAT1) has aberrant genetic alterations and exhibits potential tumor suppressive function in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC). However, the role of FAT1 in ESCC tumorigenesis remains not well elucidated. The aim of this study was to further investigate genetic alterations and biological functions of FAT1, as well as to explore its transcriptional regulation and downstream targets in ESCC.Methods: The mutations of FAT1 in ESCC were achieved by analyzing a combined study from seven published genomic data, while the copy number variants of FAT1 were obtained from an analysis of our previous data as well as of The Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA) and Cancer Cell Line Encyclopedia(CCLE) databases using the cBioPortal. The transcriptional regulation of FAT1 expression was investigated by chromatin immunoprecipitation(ChIP) and the luciferase reporter assays. In-cell western, Western blot and reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction(RT-qPCR) were used to assess the indicated gene expression. In addition, colony formation and Transwell migration/invasion assays were employed to test cell proliferation, migration and invasion.Finally, RNA sequencing was used to study the transcriptomes.Results: FAT1 was frequently mutated in ESCC and was deleted in multiple cancers. Furthermore, the transcription factor E2 F1 occupied the promoter region of FAT1, and depletion of E2 F1 led to a decrease in transcription activity and mRNA levels of FAT1. Moreover, we found that knockdown of FAT1 promoted KYSE30 and KYSE150 cell proliferation, migration and invasion;while overexpression of FAT1 inhibited KYSE30 and KYSE410 cell proliferation, migration and invasion. | 7 | Film Cooling Performance of a Row of Dual-fanned Holes at Various Injection Angles显示文摘Film cooling performance about a row of dual-fanned holes with injection angles of 30°, 60 ° and 90° were experimentally investigated at blowing ratios of 1.0 and 2.0. Dual-fanned hole is a novel shaped hole which has both inlet expansion and outlet expansion. A transient thermochromic liquid crystal technique was used to reveal the local values of film cooling effectiveness and heat transfer coefficient. The results show that injection angles have strong influence on the two dimensional distributions of film cooling effectiveness and heat transfer coefficient. For the small injection angle of 30 degree and small blowing ratio of 1.0, there is only a narrow spanwise region covered with film. The increase of injection angle and blowing ratio both leads to the enhanced spanwise film diffusion, but reduced local cooling ability far away from the hole. Injection angles have comprehensive influence on the averaged film cooling effectiveness for various x/d locations. As injection angles are 30 and 60 degree, two bands of high heat transfer coefficients are found in mixing region of the gas and coolant. As injection angle increases to 90 degree, the mixing leads to the enhanced heat transfer region near the film hole. This is an addition challenge for ECM because of the very high machining current. To overcome this difficulty, a direct and effective strategy is to adopt the machining mode that uses a low-concentration electrolyte with a low current density.The purpose of this study is to reveal the electrochemical behaviour and surface morphology in low-concentration electrolyte.The polarization behavior of Ti-48Al-2Cr-2Nb is measured by linear sweep voltammetry and cyclic voltammetry curves. The ηω-j curves demonstrate the special dissolution behaviour of Ti-48Al-2Cr-2Nb at low current densities. The surface morphology,surface quality, and dissolution mechanism are analysed in three low-concentration electrolytes at different current densities after the ECM dissolution experiments. The results demonstrate that Ti-48Al-2Cr-2Nb exhibits three unique dissolution morphologies in the three solutions, and we found that the γ-TiAl phase dissolves faster than the α2-Ti3Al phase. These results also show that 1% NaCl solution is more suitable for Ti-48Al-2Cr-2Nb in ECM compared with the other two solutions, considering its good surface quality, low breakdown potential, and high material removal rate. Later, the dissolution process of the sample in 1% NaCl solution at different corrosion times is revealed. | 13 | Radio Resource Allocation for Bidirectional Offloading in Space-Air-Ground Integrated Vehicular Network显示文摘Aerial platforms and edge servers have been recognized as two promising building blocks to improve the quality of service(QoS)in space-air-ground integrated vehicular networks(SAGIN).Communication intensive tasks can be offloaded to aerial platforms via broadcasting,while computation intensive tasks can be offloaded to ground edge servers.However,the key issues including how to allocate radio resources and how to determine the task offloading strategy for the two types of tasks,are yet to be solved.In this paper,the joint optimization of radio resource allocation and bidirectional offloading configuration is investigated.To deal with the non-convex nature of the original problem,we decouple it into a two-step optimization problem.In the first step,we optimize the bidirectional offloading configuration in the case of the radio resource allocation known in advance,which is proved to be a convex optimization problem.In the second step,we optimize the radio resource allocation through a brute-force search method.We use queuing theories to analyze the average delay of the two tasks with respect to the broadcasting capacity and task arrival rate.The offloading strategies with closed-form expressions of communication intensive tasks are proposed.We then propose a heuristic algorithm which is shown to perform better than interior point algorithm in simulations.The numerical results also demonstrate that the aerial platforms and edge servers can significantly reduce the average delay of the tasks under different network conditions. | Guangchao Wang Sheng Zhou Zhisheng Niu | 2019 | Journal of Communications and Information Networks2019,4,4: | 3 |
| 14 | Genetic variation in growth traits and stem–branch characteristics and their relationships to Eucalyptus clones显示文摘Eucalyptus has become an important genus in China because it displays adaptability to a wide range of site conditions and produces pulp wood and veneer on short rotations. The aim of this study was to estimate genetic parameters and relationships and consider implications for development of clonal forestry. We assessed growth traits, stem–branch characteristics, crown diameter and height of fresh branch for 20 Eucalyptus hybrid clones in China measured at the age of 44 months. Analysis of variance showed that there were significant differences in growth traits, height of fresh branch and stem straightness among clones. Significant differences in height, volume,crown diameter, height of fresh branch and branch size among replicates were also recorded. Coefficients of variation ranged from 9.84 to 28.54 % for growth traits, 12.03 to 17.25 % for stem–branch characteristics, 18.26 % for crown diameter and 11.73 % for height of fresh branch.Estimates of repeatabilities for height, diameter at breast height over bark, volume, crown diameter, height of fresh branch, stem straightness and branch size at clone mean level were 0.86, 0.80, 0.80, 0.54, 0.85, 0.77 and 0.44 respectively. Diameter at breast height over bark and height had strongly positive phenotypic and genotypic correlations with volume, ranging from 0.96 to 1.00. | 18 | Synthesis and characterization of dendronized hyperbranched polymers through the “A_3+B_2” approach显示文摘Dendronized hyperbranched polymer(DHP) is a new kind of polymer, which combines the advantages of dendrimers and hyperbranched polymers. In this work, two dendronized hyperbranched polymers, DHPG0 and DHPG1, were successfully prepared through the simple 'A_3+B_2' type Sonogashira coupling reaction. The nonlinear optical(NLO) effects of DHPG0 and DHPG1, characterized by the d33 values, were 183 and 220 pm V^(–1) respectively, higher than those of their analogues of dendronized polymers and dendrimers, thanks to the special topological structure. | 20 | Photocrosslinking silver nanoparticles–aloe vera–silk fibroin composite hydrogel for treatment of full-thickness cutaneous wounds显示文摘Damage to the skin causes physiological and functional issues.The most effective treatment approach is the use of wound dressings.Silk fibroin(SF)is a promising candidate biomaterial for regulating wound healing;however,its antibacterial properties and biological activity must be further improved.In this study,a photocrosslinking hydrogel was developed to treat full-thickness cutaneous wounds.The composite hydrogel(Ag-AV-SF hydrogel)was prepared by introducing the silver nanoparticles(AgNPs)and aloe vera(AV)as the modifiers.In vitro study exhibited great antibacterial ability,biocompatibility and cell-proliferation and-migration-promoting capacities.It also showed the pH-response releasing properties which release more AgNPs in a simulated chronic infection environment.The healing effect evaluation in vivo showed the healing-promoting ability of the Ag-AV-SF hydrogel was stronger than the single-modifiers groups,and the healing rate of it reached 97.02%on Day 21,higher than the commercial wound dressing,silver sulfadiazine(SS)cream on sale.Additionally,the histological and protein expression results showed that the Ag-AV-SF hydrogel has a greater effect on the pro-healing regenerative phenotype with M2 macrophages at the early stage,reconstructing the blood vessels networks and inhibiting the formation of scars.In summary,the Ag-AV-SF hydrogel developed in this study had good physical properties,overwhelming antibacterial properties,satisfactory biocompatibility and significantly promoting effect on cell proliferation,migration and wound healing.Overall,our results suggest that the Ag-AV-SF hydrogel we developed has great potential for improving the wound healing in clinical treatment. | Yangkun Liu JinChuan Fan MingQi Lv Kepeng She Jiale Sun Qingqing Lu Changhao Han SongTao Ding Shuang Zhao GuiXue Wang YuChan Zhang GuangChao Zang | 2021 | Regenerative Biomaterials2021,8,6: | 2 |
