| 1 | Effect of carbon addition on the microstructure and mechanical properties of CoCrFeNi high entropy alloy显示文摘The effects of C element on the microstructure and properties of CoCrFeNiCx high entropy alloys(x denoted the atomic fraction of C element at 0, 0.05, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, and 0.5) were investigated. The equal molar CoCrFeNi alloy with FCC structure exhibits high ductility but weak strength. With the addition of C element, both the hardness and strength of the CoCrFeNiCx high entropy alloys increase as well as the wear resistance. | 6 | A novel orientation measurement using optical sensor for spherical motor显示文摘The measurement of spherical rotor orientation is crucial to the close-loop control of spherical motors. This paper presents a novel method for the measuring of three-degree-of-freedom (DOF) rotor orientation of spherical motors using optical sensors. The spatial orientation of spherical rotor is output in the form of ZXZ Euler angles. Firstly, the structure of the measuring system composed of optical sensors and the patterns on the rotor surface are presented, and the operational principle of recognizing intersection points between the optical ring detectors and the latitude/longitude on the rotor surface is illustrated. The analytical model of input-output characteristic is established for the measuring system of three-DOF rotor orientation. Afterwards, the effect of parameters of the optical ring detectors on the linearity, sensitivity, resolving power and measuring range of the measuring system is analyzed using the analytical model. Finally, the feasibility of the measurement is validated through experiments of prototype measuring system. | 7 | Seasonal variations of stable isotope in precipitation and moisture transport at Yushu,eastern Tibetan Plateau显示文摘Precipitation δ 18O at Yushu, eastern Tibetan Plateau, shows strong fluctuation and lack of clear seasonality. The seasonal pattern of precipitation stable isotope at Yushu is apparently different from either that of the southwest monsoon region to the south or that of the inland region to the north. This different seasonal pattern probably reflects the shift of different moisture sources. In this paper, we present the spatial comparison of the seasonal patterns of precipitation δ 18O, and calculate the moisture transport flux by using the NCAR/NCEP reanalysis data. This allows us to discuss the relation between moisture transport flux and precipitation δ 18O. This study shows that both the southwest monsoon from south and inland air mass transport from north affected the seasonal precipitation δ 18O at Yushu, eastern Tibetan Plateau. Southwest monsoon brings the main part of the moisture, but southwest transport flux is weaker than in the southern part of the Tibetan Plateau. However, contribution of the inland moisture from north or local evaporation moisture is enhanced. | 8 | Isotopic composition of atmospheric water vapor before and after the monsoon's end in the Nagqu River Basin显示文摘Atmospheric water vapor samples were col-lected in the Nagqu River Basin in the middle of Tibetan Plateau between August and October in 2004. Results show that there exist some fluctuations of the δ 18O of atmospheric water vapor, especially before and after the monsoon’s end. Moreover, the variety trend of the δ 18O of atmospheric water vapor inverse correlates with that of dew point. Precipitation events make an important effect upon the variation of δ 18O of atmospheric water vapor. During the whole sampling pe-riod, the δ 18O values of atmospheric water vapor are low while precipitation events occurred. The moisture origins also contribute to the variation of δ 18O of atmospheric water vapor. The oceanic moisture transported by the southwest monsoon results in lower δ18O of atmospheric water vapor in the Nagqu River Basin. | 13 | Microstructures and high-temperature self-lubricating wearresistance mechanisms of graphene-modified WC–12Co coatings显示文摘To reduce the friction coefficient of cobalt-cemented tungsten carbide(WC–12Co)wear-resistant coatings,graphene was compounded into WC–12Co powder via wet ball milling and spray granulation.Selflubricating and wear-resistant graphene coatings were prepared via detonation gun spraying.The presence,morphologies,and phase compositions of graphene in the powders and coatings that are obtained through different powder preparation processes were analyzed.The analysis was performed using the following technologies:energy-dispersive X-ray-spectroscopy(EDXS),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),transmission electron microscopy(TEM),and Raman spectroscopy.The mechanical properties of the coatings were studied using a microhardness tester and a universal drawing machine.The friction and wear properties of the coatings were studied using an SRV-4 friction and wear tester.The results showed that the graphene content in the WC–12Co coating modified with graphene was higher than that without modification;graphene was embedded in the structure in a transparent and thin-layer state.The adhesive strength of this coating at approximately 25°C was approximately 60.33 MPa,and the hardness was approximately 984 HV0.3.After high-temperature treatment,the adhesive strength and hardness of the graphene oxide(GO)/WC–12Co coating decreased slightly(the lowest adhesive strength of 53.16 MPa was observed after treatment at 400°C,and the lowest hardness of approximately 837 HV0.3 was observed after treatment at 300°C).Compared to the friction coefficient(0.6)of the WC–12Co coating obtained at room temperature,the friction coefficient of the GO/WC–12Co coating was decreased by approximately 50%of that value.The graphene-modified coating was continuously exposed to the wear tracks on the surface of the contacting materials during friction,and a lubricating film was formed in the microareas in which the wear tracks were present.The coating exhibited improved self-lubricating and wear-resistant effects compared to the unmodified WC–12Co coating.The results of this study demonstrated that graphene could be effective in self-lubrication and wear-reduction in a temperature range of 100–200°C,as a friction coefficient of 0.3 was maintained. | Haoliang TIAN Changliang WANG Mengqiu GUO Yongjing CUI Junguo GAO Zhihui TANG | 2021 | Friction2021,9,2: | 4 |
| 14 | Modeling of suspended sediment transport with wave-induced longshore current in Huanghe (Yellow) River Delta显示文摘A three-dimensional suspended sediment model (SED) developed by the present authors is coupled with the combinatorial model of COHERENS (Luyten et al., 1999) (the three-dimensional coupled hydrodynamical-ecological model for Regional and Shelf Seas) and SWAN (Holthuijsen et al., 2004) (the third generation wave model). SWAN is regarded as a subroutine of COHERENS and gets time- and space-varying current velocity and surface elevation from COHERENS. COHERENS gets time- and space- varying wave relevant parameters provided by SWAN. Effects of wave on current are applied in bottom shear stress, wave-induced depth-dependent radiation stress and surface drag coeffcient calculation. At the same time, the damping function of suspended sediment on turbulence is introduced into COHERENS. So the sediment model SED has feedback on circulation model COHERENS. The SED obtains current associated parameters from COHERENS. Then a coupled hydrodynamic-sediment model COHERENS-SED being able to account for interaction between wave and current is obtained. COHERENS-SED is adopted to simulate three-dimensional suspended sediment transport in the Huanghe River delta. In terms of simulation results, there is obvious difference between top and bottom layer of wave-induced longshore current. The val- ues of time series of sediment concentration gotten by COHERENS-SED have, generally, an ac- cepted agreement extent with measurement. Significant wave heights and wave periods obtained by COHERENS-SED show that wave simulation case with current s effect can give better agreement extent with measurement than case without current s effect. | 18 | Spatial variation of net radiation and its contribution to energy balance closures in grassland ecosystems显示文摘Introduction:Low energy balance closure(EBC)at a particular eddy-covariance flux site has increased the uncertainties of carbon,water,and energy measurements and has thus hampered the urgent research of scaling up and modeling analyses through site combinations in regional or global flux networks.Methods:A series of manipulative experiments were conducted in this study to explore the role of net radiation(Rn)in the EBC in relation to spatial variability of vegetation characteristics,source area,and sensor type in three sites of the Inner Mongolian grassland of northern China.Results:At all three sites,the residual fluxes of EBC peaked consistently at 110 W m^(-2).The spatial variability in net radiation was 19 W m^(-2)(5%of R_(n))during the day and 7 W m^(-2)(16%)at night,with an average of 13 W m^(-2)(11%)from eight plot measurements across the three sites.Large area measurements of Rn significantly increased by 9 W m^(-2)during the day and decreased by 4 W m^(-2)at night in the unclipped treatments.Net radiation decreased by 25 W m^(-2)(6%of Rn)at midday and 81 MJ m^(-2)(6%)during a growing season with heavier regular clipping than that in unclipped treatments.The Rn was lower by 11–21 W m^(-2)(~20–40%of Rn)measured by CNR1 than by Q7.1 at night,while there was only 6 W m^(-2)(~1–2%of Rn)difference during the daytime between these two types of commonly used net radiometers.Conclusions:Overall,the inclusion of the uncertainty in available energy accounted for 65%of the~110 W m^(-2)shortfalls in the lack of closure.Clearly,the unclosed energy balance at these three grassland sites remains significant,with unexplored mechanisms for future research. | Changliang Shao Linghao Li Gang Dong Jiquan Chen | 2014 | Ecological Processes2014,3,1: | 3 |

| 20 | Synthesis and Properties of Poly(butylene carbonate-co-spirocyclic carbonate)显示文摘Poly(butylene carbonateXPBC) has significantly promising applications as a degradable material in the field of polymers, while its poor thermal performance and low crystallization rate are its main defects. To overcome these shortcomings, a series of poly(butylene carbonate-co-spirocyclic carbonateXPBSC) copolymers were synthesized from diphenyl carbonate, 1,4-butanediol and spiroglycol via two-step polycondensation reactions, using magnesium oxide as a catalyst. Differential scanning calorimetry(DSC) results indicated that the glass transition temperature(Tg) values of PBSC copolymers were enhanced from -19℃ to 56℃ with rising the spiroacetal moiety content. Thermogravimetric analysis(TGA) results showed that the resulting PBSCs have a higher thermal stability than that of poly(butylene carbonate). Wide angle X-ray diflraction(WXRD) patterns were characterized to investigate the crystallization behaviour of PBSCs. Tensile testing demonstrated that copolymerization of spiroacetal moieties into PBC chains imparted PBSC with favourable mechanical performance.
